One good on MS for the boost... Increases are always a plus.

That said, Xbox One has proven to be the craziest hardware launch I have ever seen. Its been an ever moving target in terms of what comes with the box (headset, Fifa for some...), what comes inside the box (GPU, CPU increases since reveal) and what will be desiged to work with box (online, drm...)

Whats next? Xbox One VR headset incoming?
 
To all the people saying they're having production issues, what sales do you believe they will need to get in the first month in the USA in order to prove these rumored issues?
Will selling less than 400k prove that they had issues?
Will 500k+ prove that their were no issues?

they aren't new definitions because the terms themselves are subjective

if your talking about buying a car

price: a cheaply made car selling for 15k that isn't worth the price
vs
a more expensive luxury car for 35k that delivers the value of a 50k$ car.
based off of that, which car has the better price?

size: a small compact 4 door, yet is too big for an overweight guy
vs
the same overweight guy that fits more comfortably in a full size car
based off of that, smaller isn't always better right?

Power: someone's grandma needs a car to get around town, one car has 400whp
vs another car that has 175whp but gets better mpg
Based off of that, whats a better car for grandma

I know this isn't the type of post GAFfers don't want to read, but it has nothing to do with PS4 vs XB1, just making a point that the aspects aren't definitive

There have been multiple tech presentations on the XBO architecture and a lot of leaks that turned out to be legit and none of them have even hinted at something like this. Developers have even commented that the PS4 GPU is considerably more powerful. There is almost zero chance of this being true.

It would be the biggest megaton in history though if it were. People would literally explode.

And the X1 has the better games at launch. Not sure about you man, but I want to play some great games.

Probably why I'll have both a PS4 and X1. Just like I have a 360 and PS3.
 
So with the audio chip having roughly the power of a single Jaguar core and now this 10% boost in CPU. Its almost like we have the performance of 10 cores now instead of 8 ;)

How is that worse? They both have a job with a large corporation. Just because they work for Microsoft doesn't mean anything.

As for Albert, he's just doing his thing. He's technically not PR but he's trying to clear things up. It's nice having someone on here who will sift through the shit that gets tossed at him for being a Microsoft employee working on the Xbox and give us what he can. Sure some of it ends up vague, but when you're locked down trying to finish up a massive project like the Xbox One, it makes sense.

People are dismissing your post because you're turning power,size,price into other definitions of the word. In your comparison, price is now just not price anymore, but now it's also the quality of the "car" but also the "value" of the car.

So please stop because it's a terrible comparison.

I made another one before that one but it suffers from the same problem with the length/need to translate.

And anyway that was a comparison of only the Xbox one cpu compared to before. I have no idea what the ps4 has.

Why do people keep stating XBO has better games at launch like it's a fact? I'm not into racing sims or fighting games, so that leaves out the two best titles in the launch line up. Ryse looks like a mess from a gameplay point of view and I haven't enjoyed any of the Dead Rising games. PS4 has Killzone on day 1, a series I'm a big fan of, as well as quite a few indie and F2P games that looks interesting.
 
This has been the weirdest lead up to a launch ever. Shaping up to be the worst 3rd console curse ever, and the damage control is cray.

Lower price, better specs, smaller size are all factual statement that don't take anyone's opinion into account. You can argue how you don't care about any or all of these things but that doesn't mean they aren't facts.

Oh i'm sorry that everybody doesn't see it your way, and there are people who have a more complex thought process that cheaper = better

'people' are dismissing my post because they're fans for a certain console, they don't represent the general public
