The Xbox one is a reasonably priced car that comes with an expensive caravan (kinect) that most customers aren't too keen on.
Even crazier since a lot of stuff is being addressed before launch. It's been one benefit of the preorder culture that's permeated the industry lately.

Well it's 1.6 Ghz as of May. We don't know if they upped it for production or not.

150MHZ less than Xbax one. MS had the foresight to make x1's enclosure big enough to accommodate gpu and cpu boost.
I can't wait to find out what other improvements MS is going to make before they launch X1.

So only a bump off of original spec based on what we knew about the base processor. I suppose good news for MS here with a faster processor, though I'm not sure it translates into much in the way of additional processing performance. I wonder how long they've had the clock set.
Is it really overclocking though? It's not like they are taking a stock Intel processor on a PC and boosting it up 500 mhz more, these are super efficient Jaguar cores. As with the GPU clock speed going up, they must have finally gotten to a good optimization of the OS and it allowed more overhead. As with the PSP, I could see both the Xbox One and PS4 both getting more incremental boosts like this over the life of each system.

They never committed to the camera though. Not officially enough to go back on it. That being said, I have the camera pre-ordered.

I think if it comes with the car (xb1 with Kinect) its natural for a consumer to utilize the package as a whole, I wouldn't purchase a 458 italia and NOT use the Ferrari luggage that comes with it

Yup. Games are starting to make more use of GPUs now and the trend will continue. There's a reason why both companies went with such low speed CPUs that don't even match quite a few PC quad cores.
