We're running out of things to cut!

He might have a real point here... I don't think it was that bad, but it's not stellar enough to hang with the top 20, I thinki.

Crap, do I have to change my votes again?
Alright I'll admit that some of that was hyperbole but it's still the worst Fucking show still on this list.

All this thread has shown me is that a good number of posters here have shit taste in cartoons. Voting off SWAT Kats, Reboot, and now going for the Beast Wars kill? Seriously?

when Ren and Stimpy is gone before the top 15 and Ed Edd n Eddy was one of the early kills, all bets are off. and even then Reboot and Beast Wars don't hold up very well in more ways than just the animation.

Johnny Bravo needs to go next round or the one after. i'd prefer the one after because it still holds up pretty well compared to TMNT or X-Men, which should go next.

Johnny B has one episode that is top quality, the school house rock episode. He could be funny at times, but I'm with most everyone else in that I usually watched it passively while looking things up on napster.

I find it interesting what metrics we all use for voting.

Some of us go purely on "how well does it hold up."
Others, "cultural significance."
And then there's "whether or not I saw it."

I think all three factor into most votes, though.

I never saw the weekenders, but it looked like the wild thornberries so I would have none of that.

I have to ask.
Why in the FUCK is Rugrats still on this list?
One of the most boring TV shows I've ever watched.
Terrible Terrible show.
Needs to be dropkicked off before top 20.
C'mon guys, Do the right thing.

I've been asking myself this very question. For some time now. :P

But, for real a show about an attractive guy being rejected by women. It's a fun thing to see, even if it's just in a cartoon.

I've mostly been going by "how does it hold up." So if it ever came on TV again, could I still watch it and enjoy it. TMNT is the only vote I've done because I haven't seen it. That's mostly because it's starting to get closer to the finals.

I'm thinking and thinking about changing my votes, heh.

I'll sleep on it. I'd feel ok with Beast Wars + Reboot today, Johny Bravo + TMNT tomorrow.

Hard to pick between reboot and beast wars, but gun to my head I would kick out beast wars. Reboot was more diverse in its stories and it also came first spawning the heritage of awesome CG shows. I think TMNT and Johnny Bravo deserve to go before either though.

Kill: TMNT
Kill: TMNT
Save: Reboot

Kill: Johnny Bravo
Kill: Johnny Bravo

I guess at the age I watched this this show made no sense to me so I never really liked it.

Save: Reboot

Going back and looking at 2 minute clips of this show can never do it justice because besides the CG it did some amazing things with storytelling in a childrens show. There was an overarching plot which included a battle against the main villian. Characters died, other characters actually changed. At one point in the series a time skip took place and progressed the show a lot. I've never seen anything else like it in a kids show. When it went to video it actually got pretty dark since they had mostly free reigns to do what they wanted.

Also THERE WAS A FREAKING APOCALYPSE DURING THIS SHOW, in fact how many shows overall has that ever happened in.

Kill: Tiny Toons
Kill: Tiny Toons
Save: Reboot

It's a tie between Tiny Toons and Johnny Bravo right now for me. Both were good but Bobby's World was better than Tiny Toons. Johnny Bravo was the least of cartoon network at the time.

Reboot was full of awesome pop culture references from Mad Max to Evil Dead, and even X-Files. Also Enzo turned into a badass in the 3rd season.

from what we have left, i think that doug, tmnt, and johnny bravo are some of the obviously lesser shows still on the list, with tmnt being the worst, bravo being the most one-note, and doug being the dullest.

x-men also wasn't that great (only batman and supes hold up in the superhero category). i don't think south park is a good show, but it'll probably last until the top 10 for reasons beyond my understanding.

after that is beavis and butthead- one of the only shows on there i didn't watch, and then stuff i don't remember like darkwing duck. i get the feeling ducktales is probably the best of the disney shows anyway.

i think doug and tmnt kinda slid under the radar while people were going after other favorites. tmnt in particular comes across as a particularly bad show lacking even some camp appeal. kinda feel bad for home movies and freakazoid in that regard.

Kill: Beast Wars
Kill: Rugrats
Save: Reboot

Said it before, Beast Wars was a bad idea. It shouldn't have been a CGI series. Reboots fit fine with the CGI. It's quirky and charming for me to let it go yet.

Kill: Beast Wars - CGI gimmick shows
Kill: Reboot - CGI gimmick shows
Save: Courage

I think Rugrats and X-Men should be next then since you all love Superman. :p

I'm sticking with my votes from last round
Kill: X-men
Kill: TMNT
Save: Johnny Bravo

Once, X-men, TMNT, and Beavis and Butthead are gone I'm gonna have a hard time voting things out.

Kill: TMNT
Kill: TMNT

Save: Reboot

It's time.

On Reboot: Checked out some eps recently and the show is still neat. The premise is just as cool as it ever was.

Kill: TMNT
Kill: TMNT
Save: ReBoot

You guys are horrible for killing ReBoot AND Beast Wars. Both amazing shows. I re-watched all of BW within the last year and it is seriously still a good show despite dated visual. Same for ReBoot.

Voting off TMNT to give ReBoot a shot; BW is already dead.

We need to take out Beavis and Butthead next round, ya dig?

I don't dig! Bravo and TMNT need to go next, then Tiny Toons and some other crap show. Beavis and Butthead is even top ten material. Very least top fifteen.

We're at a point, too, where we're cutting shows not because we hate them... but because we have to cut shows.

With that being said, Raw is right: Beavis and Butthead was fantastic. Hysterical, tear-inducing laughter at times. Mike Judge knows what he's doing. Cut 90s South Park first.

This thread is killing me. Reboot and Beast Wars? Gimmicks? What?!

Kill: Johnny Bravo
Kill: Johnny Bravo Probably the dumbest most boring show still on the list. I never understood it's appeal. It seemed like the same joke over and over again.

Save:Reboot I had to save one or the other and Reboot gets the nod. They were both great but Reboot had the slightly better story, especially later on in the series. I can't wait 'til it's reboot coming soon.

Groovy.

Kill: Animaniacs
Kill: Animaniacs
Save: ReBoot

Never liked Animaniacs (maybe it was too hyper for me), and ReBoot is awesome for all the reasons midramble mentioned and more.

Kill:Reboot
Kill:Beast Wars
Save:Superman The Animated Series.

Kill : Reboot
Kill : Beast Wars
Save : Hey Arnold!

Kill: ReBoot
Kill: Beast Wars
Save: TBA

these two shows need to get the hell out, they have no place among the others. TMNT is next.

Kill: ReBoot
Kill: Beast Wars
Save: Supes

The Evil Alliance is really pulling a dick move this round!
Splitting the Mainframe Entertainment Defence Force.
Though, they pulled the same trick last round on Freakazoid and Pinky and the Brain

I can't in good conscience vote strategically, so of the shows nominated so far, the only I can vote to kill is

Kill: Courage
Kill: Courage

Save: Reboot
(which brings Reboot down to about +4, at the time I write this)

Sorry, I always found early 3D pretty much unwatchable. And Freakazoid... really really? Bleh :-\

I swear, this voting was premeditated! I actually pulled my Reboot kill.

Damn GAF hive mind! I was hoping Johnny Bravo would go this round. It's what I get for voting before the results for the last round were posted. Oh well, changed my votes since Beast Wars and Reboot are meh.

I'd be fine with Johnny Bravo next, but I don't know if that sentiment is shared by many. I'd certainly kill it before Powerpuff, Courage, or Dexter's.

So is the voting fixed or what? Voting alliances? A ton of people are voting near identically from round to round.

Or is it that a pattern emerges early and everyone dogpiles to eliminate (or save) a particular show?

Either way this seems deeply flawed. Maybe it should have been a system with secret ballot. There is very clear influence in the votes.

Plus we all know this just a charade towards the inevitable.
Batman: TAS is the clear winner.

Kill: Jonny Bravo
Kill: Jonny Bravo

Save: ReBoot

Seriously, how can people chose a show where a guy just get's rejected EVERY episode over an interesting premise like ReBoot. It was a great show that developed over time and characters changed as the series expanded, unlike most cartoons that are episodic and there is little to no new development of a character.

I Know the CGI is not as nice as it is know but just like Beast Wars the writing and story telling is what made this show.

You just doomed the show, lol.

Actually out of sheer respect I think Simpsons should win.

I wouldn't mind killing Johnny Bravo, but it's so low profile I don't think it has much of a chance anyway.

Powerpuffs will get some saves, it's My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic before grown men pretending to love girls' cartoon was cool. There're better target beside those three.

This, the fact that people are voting out two shows that were some of the first to do the long story arc in kids tv before fucking turtles and Johnny Bravo is baffling.

I think most people have ten or so shows in their heads that they want to make the top, and as long as those are safe, they're fine piling onto one or two shows. If you don't pile-on, then there's a chance that shows can get sniped at the end of the round.

I....I actually liked the PPG ;_;

I don't think it was a show for girls at all (MLP definitely is). It starred girls, but those girls were involved in a lot of action (which appealed to boys as well). The violence was on a higher level than anything else marketed towards girls since, probably.

Yup. Thing will get really interesting when we get down to 16 or so shows.

i don't think ppg and mlp have a lot in common. ppg centered around girls as main characters, but they were also superheroes. plus if you liked ppg in the 90s it was probably when you were a kid or early teen instead of an adult like mlp in this decade.

ppg also has the devil as one of the villains. and it's a really great design and voice performance too.

johnny bravo was basically one joke, and it wasn't bad, but it doesn't stand out for any reason. dexter had a little variety (although tartatovsky's style can be really grating).
