1990's Cartoon Survivor (Do-Over)

Kill: Batman
Save: Simpsons

Cool to have Arnold in top three. I wish it could be show no. 2 but I guess that's pushing it. Simpsons rules, second best cartoon ever made.

As for 00s thread. Following shows should be there:

Samurai Jack
Venture Bros.
Archer (2010 - running)
Bob's Burgers (2011 - running)
Frisky Dingo
Danny Phantom
Futurama

There are more but that's all I can think of now.

Again:
Kill: Simpsons
Kill: Arnold

and
Save: Batman

I won't be participating in the 2000s as I watched very few shows outside of maybe South Park and some Family Guys. And I watch zero anime.

Kill : The Simpsons
Kill : Hey Arnold
Save : Batman Animated Series

It's painful to see any of these shows get "killed" off. The journey and destination has been most satisfying.

Kill: Hey Arnold! - good show, but nowhere near top 3 or even top 5 material. Would only watch if it's already on.
Kill: Batman TAS - Amazing show. Would not mind it winning in the end. The Simpsons trumps it in every way, though.

Save: The Simpsons

I voted in every round, but not gonna lie... all the backroom dealing kinda killed my enthusiasm for the whole thing, to the point where I won't bother with he 00s thread.

Edit: added reasons. No votes were changed.

The voting really really slowed down. Is it because people are salty? They don't care who wins? They love all the shows and can't vote to kill one of them? They don't like any of the remaining shows? or is it because they just lost interest all together?

Because the top 5 was obvious and everyone's Dark Horse shows got voted off way too early through certain people colluding to get rid of them. This is why I don't want to see Anime in the 00s thread because it'll be FMA, Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Code Geass and Avatar in the top 5.

star wars clone wars (the genndy tartatovsky show)
courage the cowardly dog
spongebob squarepants
foster's home for imaginary friends
the powerpuff girls

damnit people, how hard can it be to kill Hey! Arnold

kill: Batman TAS - no doubt the second-best show on the list, but we operate by the Highlander rule - there can only be one
kill: Hey! Arnold - kill kill kill kill kill kill kill

save: Simpsons - don't really have to explain this

ALSO
Suggest shows for the 00s/Modern Era survivor that are not anime in this round. I will take it into consideration and additionally there will be a suggestion round in the new thread as well.
Here are the qualifications, it has to be a cartoon that aired in the US from 2000 to end of year 2012. Currently running shows that started during then also count.

Voting is now open for this round. Thanks!

My Life as a Teenage Robot - very underrated show
Fillmore

I forgot my 00's nominations

South Park
Avatar
Invader Zim
Clone High
Undergrads
Spongebob
Teen Titans
Archer (if it counts)

OP asked for shows from 2000-2012. Oh, and I still need to watch Avatar. Heard so many good things about it. Or maybe I should just watch the movie and save some time.

Kill: Hey Arnold!
Kill: Batman TAS

Save: The Simpsons

I voted in every round, but not gonna lie... all the backroom dealing kinda killed my enthusiasm for the whole thing, to the point where I won't bother with he 00s thread.

Next thread will likely have no vote editing period. That plus no double kills will likely cut some of that stuff down.

My only suggestion for the 00s thread is - Flapjack
Everything else I imagine will make it in there. I'm really hoping, however, that you don't include anime...

The 10s decade doesn't have enough years to make a thread so I'm including some of those years in there.

i think you can make a very full thread of just 2000-2009 and a very good half-decade with 2010-2014.

this is what i compiled from 2010-2014:

gravity falls
the legend of korra
regular show
star wars: the clone wars
teenage mutant ninja turtles (2012)
phineas and ferb
adventure time
sym-bionic titan
archer
the venture bros.
south park
the simpsons
american dad
fullmetal alchemist brotherhood
that goat anime
batman: the brave and the bold
bob's burgers
futurama
the looney tunes show
scooby doo! mystery incorporated
tron: uprising
young justice
sanjay and craig
rick and morty

and that's not considering a bunch of stuff i don't watch either, like gumball, fanboy and chum chum, and whatever crap that would push the list to 50-something shows (probably throw in some anime in there too like space dandy, deadman wonderland, fullmetal alchemist brohood and whatever else popped up on adult swim/toonami).

Since I'm not going to be around for the next few days here is my list of nominations for 00s cartoon survivor.

i know you're kidding about the movie, but it's pretty much the first season condensed into every major plot point explained at the viewer.

the first season's a bit of a bumpy start, but if you like developed characters, good action, nice slapstick, and great action, well, there isn't a whole lot else like it. the attention to detail is staggering. flcl and cowboy bebop were two big inspirations for the series, and it shows.

Should have named the thread...

"Ani-hawk's back alley Hey! Arnold agenda..."

Would have been more accurate I think

the politics were a lot of fun. to be fair after animaniacs went i didn't have a whole lot of say. rocko and ppg just kinda died on their own. my biggest play was against dexter's lab.

I'll take your word for it and pick up the DVDs after work.

the first four episodes or so it kinda starts off like 'it's a goofy kids show with action!' and somewhere halfway through the season it becomes far more serious.

Avatar is also one of the very few shows, cartoon or live-action, where the characters change and develop well. The show first and foremost always chose to tell a good story which is not something you see very often on television.

oh, Avatar is pretty much the best cartoon show not named "The Simpsons"or "Futurama". I watched the original series again recently and it's just as good as ever. Check out Legend of Korra once you're done with A:TLA

One show I can add to the 00s list though is the '02 He-Man. I was kind of excited for it back then but just couldn't get into it overall. Same thing happened not too long ago with the new Thundercats.

I better throw in my votes so I don't forget after my flight tomorrow.

Kill: Batman
Kill: Arnold
Save: The Simpsons

I have nothing against these two shows but The Simpsons is such a huge part of my life and was so amazing during the golden years that I have to consider it the number one show. It was aired every weekday at 5 where I lived and I always tried to get home after school to catch it, even though episodes were rerun so much that I knew the lines it never got old. A true cultural phenomenon that is noticeable to almost every person in the world that owns a TV, it was the pinnacle of TV in the 90s and perhaps all time.

Not my main choice for #3, but Hey Arnold is a good consolation prize.

Kill:Batman
Kill:Hey Arnold
Save:The Simpsons

Nothing else really beats the variety and the memories that show created.

Kill: The Simpsons
Kill: Hey Arnold!

Save: Batman TAS

The early Simpsons (and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) are pretty much the only sitcoms I ever enjoyed. That said, I simply preferred the art, animation, themes and characters of Batman TAS more. The Simpsons was always just a great show that I tuned in for, but it never really became a part of my childhood like Batman TAS so thoroughly did.

Kill: Hey! Arnold
Kill: The Simpsons
Save: Batman: TAS

Sociopaths ruined this one, so I also doubt I'll participate in the 2000s thread.

How do I win here? I have no idea.
If I include it, in comes the drama and backroom voting.
If I don't people will complain.

Anime started to really boom in the early 2000s. There will be a shit load of anime in the 2000s thread. I suggest you trim the fat and keep only mainstream anime or else the 2000s list will have more anime than actual american shows.

Kill: Arnold
Kill: batman, but much less of a kill than Arnold

Save: Homie

How will the adult swim shows fit into this category? Shows like Sealab or ATHF. No anime whatsoever?

Perhaps there should be a vote in round where everyone gets like 5 or 10 votes and votes in their choice. A show only makes it if recieves 3 votes or something like that. Not including anime for the '00s really excludes a good portion of American programming. Are we really going to exclude bobobo-bo bo-bobo?
