Let's hope Deniro is not in it, he's a washed up old actor now

Hopefully it's better than Irishman.
Still don't understand why it got so much love from the critics. It's a very long slog.
Oh is he the one on the left then?
Maybe stick to your ADHD superhero movies then.Hopefully it's better than Irishman.

The Irishman was an absolutely brilliant atmospheric piece of work and much of it is due to the movie taking its time to let the actors breathe.
I swear, modern audiences swallow every comic-book dreck, but if you give them a decent movie with well written character development, tight plot and thought-provoking message, they turn their noses.
What if I recognized him right away?
i hated the first hour. The movie wasnt going anywhere, but then it takes off at around the 1 hour mark and I swear it felt like the last 2.5 hours flew by. Incredible movie. I actually stopped watching it at the one hour mark and didnt pick it up again for another year or so, but when I finally did I wished it was longer lolHopefully it's better than Irishman.

That's fair. The CGI wasn't horrible, but noticeably artificial and a bad fit for a Scorsese film.Agreed Irishman was a great movie. But they made a mistake not using a different actor (or different actors) for the young version of Deniro.
When technology goes wrong IMO.

Scorsese is known for working tightly with his actors and I think there has to be some interpersonal relation for it to work.
Hence why he's not very flexible when it comes to working with new actors.
Leo's looking old. wonder if its heavily makeup'd
whats this about anyhow?

Marvel has been making the same movie since frikkin' Iron Man. What's formulaic about The Irishman?I just think it's funny how Scorcese (and his fans) trash superhero movies for being formulaic. The irony....
I spent 15 minutes this weekend looking through the glass door of a washing machine.Get a load of the rocking chair in the back. Remember when back in the day one of your options for passing the time was to sit in a rocking chair and rock back and forth.

Joe Pesci would like to have a word with you.Come on, stop it, the film was a total letdown and was way too long on top of that.
The only decent performances were from Al P and Stephen Graham, the rest were mediocre.
After watching Goodfellas and Casino, I find it hard for Joe Pesci to come anywhere near to those performances.Joe Pesci would like to have a word with you.
It's not a bad movie, it's just no where near the quality of what Goodfellas was.Are ppl rly that high that they think The Irishman was a bad movie? Dafuck. Even as a huge comic book movie fan I still really loved the atmosphere of The Irishman. I felt nostalgic watching it for some reason. Excited for this as well.

Deniro will be shrunk down with CGI to portray DiCaprio’s infant son.
Let's hope Deniro is not in it, he's a washed up old actor now
DiCaprio has become boring and overrated now. He used to have much more depth as a kid.Let's hope Deniro is not in it, he's a washed up old actor now

That's like complaining that every Marvel movie features superheroes.Like half his movies are mob movies with Deniro or crazy person movies with Dicaprio.
You don't see the silliness of this argument?Like half his movies are mob movies with Deniro or crazy person movies with Dicaprio.
Nothing wrong with that, but I think it's ridiculous of him to trash others for doing the same thing over and over.
Was thinking bout this a lot recently as I’m pretty much sticking to independent and older movies to get my fix for good storytelling.I swear, modern audiences swallow every comic-book dreck, but if you give them a decent movie with well written character development, tight plot and thought-provoking message, they turn their noses.
I've enjoyed some superhero movies, but it's not like I'm getting much substance out of them. It's a real shame, because comics have such a rich and long history to source from. Was thinking bout this a lot recently as I’m pretty much sticking to independent and older movies to get my fix for good storytelling.
And the ageism is amazing, fuck Dicaprio for looking better than most all 46 year olds but still not staying 21 amiright!!
Leo channeling his inner Jack:

Please explain the similarities between Iron Mab 1, Avengers 1, Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarock and Ant-Man and the Wasp.
villain of the week who is former friend or related to hero, friendship ruined, betrayed or challenged, big threat which requires teamwork, character arc to overcome adversity, quippage, mewling quim, world is in danger, hero grows or learns a skill (+1 development) driven by a loss of minimal consequence, difficult upbringing or origin story referenced, sidekick inspires and comedy relief etc
iron man had better cinematography compared to others
