1up Yours- October 26, 2007

Those are only a few things I used to do for fun in it. There are many cool things that can emerge from the gameplay in Bioshock; it's just that the game itself (and this is, perhaps, one of its few flaws) never actually requires you to do this stuff. You have to seek it out yourself.
The problem is that the structure of the game resists this approach. I'd kill for an update that would GTAify the game so that I could have all of the toys and run free in Rapture without the restrictions of the story. BioShock wants to be free, damnit!

I have decided to stop listening 1UP yours. It is obviously a very week show comparing last year. I am kinda Nintendo follower and i loved to hear Luke bashing everyting related Nintendo in a clever and funny way. Now all that is gone. Mark is gone... John is just a guest.

The show should be renamed to "This is not 1UP yours"

There is only one person in that could save the show: Chris Kohler.

its not TV, its HBO (according to HBO)

I would totally agree with that quote. HBO have so much going for them but they really need to axe whichever retard fucking execs that cancel top shows at the peak of their popularity and with so much more story still to be told.

RIP Carnivale and Deadwood(for any Deadwood fans - it looks like those movies that were planned to wrap up the series probably wont happen). Fuck you HBO -- fuck you.

are you bashing levine?
By no means. I've just seen many interviews with him. He says that. A lot.

I'd like to see him just talking off-the-cuff. He strikes me as an thoughtful fellow.

You are entitled to your incorrect opinion :D

I love Lost too, but it's not nearly as well written or acted as The Shield. It's good enough to make me admit that it's better than the geek shows I'm usually defensive about, like Lost, BSG, and the X-Files.

And Heroes is ass. God, that poorly written schlock is unbearable.

Nah, you're both wrong. Heroes is the best show on television. Lost is a close second though.

O_O

Look, I liked Heroes season 1 as much as the next guy, but it was at no point close to Lost in terms of writing, acting, and characters. I would also argue that Cuse and Lindelof seem to have a much better idea of where Lost narratively is headed than Kring does for Heroes.

that new music blows.

God, do I agree. That new music is *Mark voice* TERRRRRRRRRRIBLE.

Mielke(no offense) brings the energy level of the podcast wayyyyyyyyyyy dowwwwwwwwwn.

While I like the guy, his tone of voice really doesn't suit a podcast... His voice is remarkably monotonic, and it just doesn't fit.

I've yet to watch Heroes, I'm waiting for the HD release of Season 1.
Isn't Heroes already out on HD-DVD?

The second season of Heroes is awesome just for the cheese (the last ep lacked in that category though). 'Is it because we flew together' is an instant classic line. Plus it has a plethora of hot chicks in the cast. And Mr Muggles. I'll go there soon with MISTER MUGGLEES

Yeah, you're right. The Lost season finale was one of the best TV episodes I have ever seen, can't wait to see what direction the new series is headed.

It is, I need a HD-DVD player though :lol

The scene when Charlie drowned is the best piece of television I've seen for quite some time.

Yeah man, and Hiro is one of the best TV characters ever, fucking love that guy.

:lol

Is that supposed to sound like a Little Sister line from Bioshock?

arrested development, 24 (ignoring this last season, of course), the shield, and entourage are the best shows on television.

I can't speak against arrested development or the shield, but Lost easily beats 24 and Entourage for me. 24 was my guilty pleasure before Heroes and I honestly don't know how anyone enjoys Entourage.

Ari and Drama make the show. If you don't like them, I can see how it wouldn't be appealing. Admittedly, the latest season of Entourage was kinda weak. Season 2 was awesome, though.

What is Entourage? Don't think it has made it over to Europe yet.

I'm not hatin', it's just the truth. I still enjoyed it, but Season 2 was better by a long shot. The Medellin/Walsh bullshit got dragged out a bit too much.

True, at times the Walsh shit got boring (but that's mostly because Walsh is a one-note character), but there were some classic moments in this season.

Like furry sex.

Holy Jesus there was furry sex.

Okay that sounds great, might have to check Entourage out then.
