20 injured after Mexican Navy training ship strikes Brooklyn Bridge

I suspect that is Mexico's finest warship, crewed by highly trained able bandito's

I guess Mexico really wants to be hated.

Why do they have a clipper ship?

Sounds like no one was killed so that's good. Too much fake news floating around right now. Hopefully we have solid details by morning.

There were no injuries on either side, and honestly, nothing much happened.

These accidents happen to everyone, just as American soldiers make accidents during their training in Campeche.

Clipper ship clipping the bridge.

Us mexico relations won't be helped by their naval vessel smashing into us infrastructure and historic landmarks.
They already said nothing happened to the bridge, and it can be seen in the videos. The ship did have damage, but it's repairable. The important thing is that no one died.

The US and Mexico's relations have always been respected, with Claudia and Trump...

Only Mexico has one of the countries with the best relations in the world. China, Russia, Korea, Europe, and part of South America are with Mexico. The only ones that aren't are Argentina, Ecuador, and Peru. The other countries are supported.

Then there's the Mr. Beast case and the Chichen Itza controversy.

So we both have things that are human errors.

But you're my friend, So we don't fight xD

I still remember the Alamo.

Accidents do happen but smashing into the Brooklyn Bridge is a pretty big deal. We'll have to see if this was due to engine failure or user error.

Weird AF from multiple angles. Why was a too tall ship headed toward a too short bridge in the first place? Why were so many people still on the upper deck standing under the 200 foot masts in an emergency loss of power with imminent impact?

It wasn't just people standing on the upper deck, there were dozens of people up in those masts. You can see people dangling from the masts there right after the crash. It's a good thing they were all secured, otherwise there'd be many more dead.

The loss of power is probably bullshit to cover for stupidity. Lets assume it lost power. Where was it headed? They couldn't steer with the lost power either? It's a fucking sail boat too.

Yeah i find that excuse bs too. How do you not have backup power?

They likely want to claim insurance because they have huge liability costs now especially with 2 deaths. You've lost power, you're a damn sailboat that's designed to operate without power, at least throw the anchor or something. None of that happened though, they just went straight into the bridge.

Maybe they could have diverted power from the three thousand mast lights that still worked

Why does a naval vessel have sails? This ship got lost on the way to the Alamo, entered the Bermuda triangle and appeared 150 years later in NY
.

Is this the Mexican Navy equivalent of the US Marines who throw and twirl guns?

With all those lights on the masts, it would be easy to be spotted. If Mexico planned to take a fun ship with sails to a fight with the big boys, that would still be excessive IMHO.

How does this happen? Surely they know the tide level, the height to the top of the main mast from sea level and the u/s of the bridge clearance from the harbour master, this is one expensive and totally avoidable fuck up
