I'm glad the Yanks made it to the playoffs now. To see them lose is always wonderful, but when A-Hole is the prime goat, well it's just about the best possible scenario. :D :D :D

One more year down without a ring for A-Hole.

well you cant win them all. it's cliched but true. *sigh* my only hope is that steingrabber isnt the owner by next year (yeah right) because as far as i'm concerned, ever since he started getting involved in the day to day running of the organization in 2002, the team wasnt gonna win a world series.
it's as simple as that. having a 200 million payroll doesnt mean you are gonna win, it means you are overpaying people that dont deserve nearly that much money (jeter notwithstanding)
and speaking of derek sanderson jeter, is it obvious to everybody now that jeter IS better that A-rod? i dont mean in putting up individual stats per se, but in being a clutch player and really stepping up when it counts? jeter once again was his usual stellar self in the playoffs and A-rod looked like a fool out there.
a lot people flat out failed to produce in tis series and the team just played bad baseball. real bad. the angels remind so much of the yankees of the 1990's that won world series. they did a very good job capitalizing on mistakes. so i guess i'll just root for andy pettite to win or something.
it should one very interesting off-season for the yanks. keep your chin up fellow yankee fans, joe torre did an amazing job this year with more than half of his pitching staff gone and a, at times, flat line-up and we still managed to make the play-offs. i'm sure steingrabber knows he cant let him go.

You know what? I gotta give some credit to Giambi as well. He didn't hit for power but he did at least hit: .421 IIRC. 3-5 last night and hit that hard double right after Jeter hit his homerun (and the double would have been out if not for the high wall).

true. maybe giambi does deserve that comback player of the year award. he played hard.
as for what's gonna happen this off-season? with that idiot steingrabber anything is possible. cashman could be gone, stottlemyre, torre, mattingly,. and that's the coaching staff. i REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY do not want not one more free agent on this team for the love of god. enough is enough. we need to rebuild the farm and win with the roster we have now. i've been calling for this for years and i hope that the "tampa mafia" or steinbrenner's soldies takes heed.
