Dude when your team wins a WS then you're allowed to open your mouth. You act like winning 3 against 4 from us recently (remember we swept you four games earlier this year) is something worth gloating about and that's kind of sad. Is Miguel still boasting about being wild card champs this year again? How about raising the bar a little higher? We're in last place but I'm still hoping for them to get a streak going and take the lead in the east. I don't care if they don't look like they have what it takes anymore. I will always expect more.

Talking trash about the Astros....Braves....Red Sox...ALL teams who have finished better than the Mets in the past what....4 years? :lol As much as I hate the Braves, there's no way in fuck I could ever keep a straight face and talk trash about the Braves, cause they had SCOREBOARD on us from 1997 to 2003. We finally got over the Astros hump but then we got pwned in game 7 by the Cards. We have the pitching this year to get past the Cards, since we won't have Pete Munro STARTING TWO GAMES in a NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES. This year we have Oswalt game 1, Clemens game 2, Pettitte game 3, Backe game 4, and we'd have Wandy Rodriguez and Zeke Astacio in the bully probably replacing Gallo and Harville. I SERIOUSLY doubt Bags is coming back this year...or EVER even, but I'm not so sure that with no major PT this year, that you'd stick him in the lineup when Mike Lamb, Orlando Palmeiro, Eric Freaking Bruntlett and Vizcaino are all coming up with clutch hits in the past 2 months.

Everett
Ensberg
Burke
Taveras

Ausmus

Bench:

I'd like to see Taylor Buchholz get a chance and Carlos Hernandez get another chance in the majors when Sept callups are done. I want to see if they could maybe replace Springer or Harville in the Bully. Anything to keep less strain on the Starters to have to go 7-8 every game from now on.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. :lol, Mets getting the WILDCARD is laughable, getting the NL East? :lol

Hell, the way the Astros have been playing, we have a better shot at the CENTRAL than the Mets have at the East.

Oh, I can laugh about Pedro all I want. Sure he's pitching better than I thought he would, but he's still pitching for A LAST PLACE TEAM. How's that feel, Kuroyume? I wouldn't know, not since 1990.

Oh, and just for shits and giggles, I just looked up Smotlz and Pedro's stats. They have the same number of wins, but Smoltz has a lower ERA despite getting shelled in his first start. And Smoltzie gets to play on a PLAYOFF BOUND TEAM, not some bunch of overpaid losers with no heart who can't make it out of the damn cellar.
 
Yah, as much as it pains me to say it Carlos Hernandez is finished. The surgery really did a number on him. It's a shame, he had star written all over him.
 
Well as soon as I knock Carlos's velocity I hear he got up to 91 mph 6-10 pitches into his last start.

Ah, and Luuuuuuuuuuke Scott had a 3 HR night Monday.

At least the Astros have made it to the playoffs in like the past 10 years and don't consistently suck and do stupid shit like sign a fly ball pitcher to pitch in that fucking bandbox. The Reds suck, Lonestar.

I want to thank the Mets and Minaya though for signing Beltran. The Yanks would never have been able to live down a bust that big in addition to Whoamack, Jaret Wrong, and Carl Pavohno. Shit that stinky would have forced me to burn my Dave Winfield Little League Louisville Slugger in disgust.

Kicking our asses? Before the recent losses to the Asstros we were in third place... 2 within second and four within first or something like that. How is anyone kicking our ass? We could win our next two-three games (and assuming they lose) we could jump back to second place. You are truly dumb. These Mets haters act like we're 20 games below .500.
