Yeah, more square and I think Dye's collar bone would be toast. :/

Solid win by the Jays.. gives a little hope for tomorrows almost certain loss with Bush on the mound.

Have you watched Bush pitch his last two outings?!

EDIT: unless you're referring to his bad luck...

Mets get extremely lucky in the bottom 11th. Runner at 1st, no outs. 3-2 count on the hitter. Mets go for the steal and the batter smacks it up the middle. The Brewers shorstep Hall is right in front of the ball and lets it hit off the webbing of his glove and into the outfield. They gave the hitter a hit too wtf. :lol 1st and 3rd no outs in the bottom 11th for the mets now insead of getting into a double play!

Moletran 0-6 :lol

Everyone in the Mets lineup had a hit but him.

edit- Brewers suck arse.

Trading Hinske is like auctioning the Ebola virus...you can't do it. We have no choice but to keep him, other than sending him down to the minors or paying someone to take him at the trading deadline. At least he got an RBI tonight!

the yankees are the best team in baseball. the team is about 50% deadweight and they're still in the playoff hunt.

:lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

Season over. Keep Prior, Z, Lee, and Ramirez. Everybody else needs to get the fuck out. Barrett and Baker lose another game.

Dear Mets front office,

We've bitched about that piece of crap Looper all throughout the god damn season. How about paying attention next time?

I do not care what they do, just get him out the lineup. Hell, trade him for some of the biased umps the other teams have.

Huge win for the Jays tonight.... I can't say I watched the game :( But the end result is fantastic, especially with one game left before this weekend's mega series against the Yankees. :D

Wow

The O's have sucked lately! They have completely fallen off the radar haha

I love it!

The Jays just need to go on an winning streak and they will be right in this thing

One measly 6 or 7 game winning streak... or winning 8 or 9 of 10 and the AL East would be veeery interesting. :D

Not getting swept by [insert name of shitty, shitty team] after playing well against the good teams would be a great change of pace too. :P What is it about the Jays that has them totally piss away easy games against bad teams yet play well (in general) against the big boys?

How do you like MoBergs 28th HR tonight Mr.Bob? I told you he would hit one for me tonight :D

At least our schedule isn't easy from here on out :)

if you have hbo on demand or happen to catch it on watch the new mickey mantle documentary on hbo, its pretty good. it pretty much documents mickey's entire life from child to death.

im a sucker for all the old baseball stuff. i wish i wasnt poor so i could buy the "when it was a game" dvd set. i want a time machine just so i can see all the old, historical, amazing baseball moments.

after watching the documentary this is one moment that is now easily in my top 2 or 3:

Hardestballhr.gif

i mean thats just fucking insanity. a mere foot of LEAVING the stadium. you wanna know how hard the ball was hit? the ball bounced off the facade and ended up in the infield. without any obstruction the ball would have traveled 620 feet. some have claimed longer and some have claimed shorter but 620 seems to be the universal number. either way its still regarded as the hardest hit ball in a game ever.

in 1951 the yanks played an exhibition game at USC and mickey hit a homerun, and i quote here..."that landed on top of a three-story house six houses down the street from the ballpark."

fuck, i need to buy that ken burns baseball set or something.

more yankee stuff...matsui has a porno collection:

http://www.time.com/time/asia/2003/heroes/hideki_matsui.html
"Instructed to stay in the team dormitory and refrain from dating during the first several years of his career, so as to devote all his concentration solely to baseball, Matsui agreeably complied, without so much as a whimper. Indeed, his only eccentricity, if it can be called that, is his extensive private library of adult videos. His refreshing ability to laugh self-deprecatingly about his porno collection, reporters say, is one reason why fans and even nonfans have taken to him so much."

"And, of course, he likes to watch his much vaunted porno collection, tapes that he often trades with Japanese reporters."

With the Orioles having lost 16 of their last 18 games, manager Lee Mazzilli was fired Thursday morning and replaced on an interim basis by bench coach Sam Perlozzo.

Mazzilli was hired before the 2004 season to replace Mike Hargrove. He went 129-139 in his first stint as a major league manager, including 51-55 this year.

The Orioles are 4-16 since the All-Star break and have fallen 10 1/2 games behind the Boston Red Sox in the AL East. They spent 62 straight days in first place, but currently are in fourth. They're closer to last place than first.

This is the first time majority owner Peter Angelos has fired a manager during the season.

These White Sox commentators on Comcast SportsNet sound really unprofessional using pronouns like "we" and "us" or phrases like, "McGowan has really done us a favour." :P

Starting to really appreciate Black/Campbell + Tabler.

:(

I hate non-televised games. Plus this Yahoo sportstracker is not updating.

That's Chicago for you.

I am in Niagara, it is not on Rogers Sportsnet. I do not have MLB extra inning on this TV. :(

Good to see McGowan settle down, hope the Jays can get a couple runs for him. Not they they do not have RISP. :lol

My buddy just keep chugging along!
