Fuck our relief staff... just fuck them fuck them fuck them! I just know the rest of the team just wants to kill these guys.

God I'm so freaking angry. All the fucking work down the drain because these no good fucking bums can't do their job. Wasted the efforts of the rest of the team you stupid assholes! Twice in less than 24 hours!

The Jays are simply not cashing in runs or getting those sacrifices, electing to pop-up or strike out instead of hitting ground balls to cash in a man at third base with one out. Leadoff doubles also mean nothing when they don't score. Wells, Hillenbrand (his average is really slipping), and Koskie have been asinine at the plate.

They are really frustrating to watch, but I'm probably more peeved with the said commentating, with the announcers praying for foulballs by the Jays to stay fair or for them to strikeout.

Funny thing is, they are 2nd in all of majors for RBIs with RISP. I agree though, they are very frustating to watch.

Was that flyout too short in 8th? I would have went. :/

The throw to home was a bit off (catcher was standing right of homeplate) so it's plausible that with a well-timed tag-up he could have made it but to his credit, the outfielder made a pretty good catch to prevent a bloop hit.

In the end it's unfortunate that they're now another game behind the Red Sox though their pitching is really turning around, and Bush seems to be doing well as the fourth man in the rotation, though they need to start stringing a few runs over multiple innings instead of, as Fifty put it once, blowing their wad in one.

Ughhh, I'm getting to the point of saying fuck this cubs bullshit bring on football! Fall any further back and this will be true!

Never give up hope, you could be last years Astros team.....

:lol who the fuck am I kidding, its the Cubs.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

That's about as likely as Nolan Ryan coming out of retirement for one day and pitching his 8th no hitter in that series.

The Cubs will sweep the Astros the last four games of the year and win by 1 game.

Damn when you post this absurd bs it actually makes Mr.Bob seem smart and I dont like that:(

man, there sure is a lot of Cubs and Astros talk around here considering that either team is as likely to make the World Series as i am of boning Jessica Alba. I guess now i know how all the Laker haters feel in the NBA threads. Im sorry guys.

I think i'd rather not see them get CRUSHED by the Cards again. I have a feeling this is somehow Kobe's fault, he fucked up all L.A Sports teams...

WEEE! Graaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Slaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam!

I'll be at the games! I should market a line of KW T-shirts....sell them to Yankee fans! Then I can donate the proceeds to the Jays in the hopes they sign FAs!

STFU. ONE DAMN GAME AWAY TWO YEARS AGO.

Gah!

Today got worse. I don't know if any of you remember, but awhile back I told ya that I lost Prior for a month in MVP due to taking a ball right off of his nose. Broken nose kept him out a month. Well I got him back and he pitched a fabulous game! Have my rotation back together and ready to kick ass? Uh uh! The next game Wood starts and ends up tearing a muscle in his shoulder. OUT FOR THE YEAR. Huzzah!

LOL :lol EA knows their Cubs shit.

Astros getting knocked around tonight, our other rookie is pitching like poop.

What bullshit. I'm not playing MVP anymore today!

Next game Big Z takes the mound, and a ball rockets off the bat and off his head. Concussion out 33 games wtf. SERGIO MITRE is starting now woo! :lol

jays fans: we didn't see halladay and we still only won one game. nice job. iguchi saved the game for us today. i'm sorry though, if you can't get a runner in from 2nd with one out with vizcaino pitching....you're not seeing the ball good or something. that's just bad :lol

fucking great game to be at though. i'm moving in a few days, so it's the last game i'll get to unless i snag weekend playoff tickets.....which i'd love to do.....

mrbob and cubsfan, are you guys gonna pay through paypal?

true. i mean, the sox are only up in their division by 14 games and are only 32-9 against our division. i'm sure our second half slide will still happen, right guys? hahahahha

and as far as the better record between the sox and cubs, it's only a 16.5 game difference :lol :lol :lol

70-37, jesus our record is fucking sick.

lemme know when the denial wears off guys :lol

sigh.. I remember when the Yankees had sick records... now, they're just sick. At least Chacon looks good, but Christ would it hurt to have some runners on base for some of these home runs?

It'd be great if Glavine could give us a good 7 innings today, the bullpen could use a rest. The Brewers were feasting on the relief staff like a dead carcase the last few days. And Reyes needs to get his ass in gear,he hasn't stolen a base in like 10 games now. That could be the difference in a late inning ball game with that speed blazing along the base paths.

Both teams are right at .500 righ? Well the Mets are,not quite sure where the Cubs stand at the moment.

This should be a good one.:)

CHC Rich Hill, LHP (0-0, 3.78)

@

NYM Tom Glavine, LHP (7-9, 4.50)

Scouting Report:
Hill was effective in his last two starts. On July 30, he gave up two earned runs in six innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks. His six-inning stint was the longest he's pitched at one time this season. Before that, on July 25, he surrendered two earned runs in five innings against the San Francisco Giants. In 16 2/3 innings this season, with some of that work coming out of the bullpen, Hill has recorded 18 strikeouts and seven walks. He's given up two home runs.

Glavine has faced the Cubs once in 2 1/2 seasons with the Mets (Opening Day 2003 at Shea), and has faced them merely twice -- both losses -- since the beginning of 2002, his last season with the Braves. He hasn't beaten them since the last time he pitched in Wrigley Field, Sept. 8, 2001.

:lol

Controversy surrounding Sheffield, press saying he slams A-Rod and Jeter, Sheff is denying it.

Buuuuut he just hit a two run blast so it's all good.

what happened?

Beltan was on first and the hitter at plate got a single. Beltran rounded 2nd base and decided to go back. The center fielder threw it to second base and gunned him out. Beltran just trotted back to 2nd. Didn't slide or anything. No hustle at all!

The dude's like Reggie Jackson. The more shit he talks, the more balls he wrecks. :lol

Yeah the bullpen is worn alot right now. I still cant believe how bad Roberto Hernandez has been the last few games, the guy was always lights out before this. They need to cut Matsui, and use that extra roster spot to bring up another reliever like say Bell. On a bright note I read on another board that Ishi lost his spot in the rotation and that Seo is going to pitch for him tomorrow:)

Strike out and Wells bats with the bases loaded, or swing like a moron with 1 out and hit into a double play? Hmm I think I WILL SWING!
