I BELIEVE.

There's something just completely off about this year's team. The offense is to blame imo, it's not a matter of the starting pitching as everyone is saying. Last year we would have won like 10-5 not lost 2-5. 2 runs against the Royals...!?
 
Have the Yankees reached the low point yet?

- Swept at home against Orioles
- Lose 3 of 4 against Tampa Bay
- Lose 17-1 at home against Boston
- Swept by the worst team in baseball
- ?????

Some fresh-from-the-farm Pirates pitcher will probably throw a perfect game against the Yanks later this month.

I hate these fucking stats. Of course teams are going to have shitty records when they trail after 8. Of course they are going to have awesome records when they lead after 8. Quick what is the Yankee record when leading with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th?

He hasn't blown the save (yet) but a couple more outings like this and the Dodgers may start shopping Gagne harder (assuming the rumours they are now are true).

EDIT: gagne stops just short of shitting the bed, getting Geoff Jenkins to strike out on 3 pitches.
 
It's Mitre vs Eaton tommorrow.

If the Cubs somehow manage to win this game and bring the streak to 8 then I have to say we are being looked on from above. Because tommorrows pitching matchup is a mismatch of epic proportions.

I'd like to come out of SD with at least a split, but after the victory in game one I want 3 of 4 now. :D

He hasn't been himself since coming off the D.L, same with Werth and Alvarez. I think that because of all the injuries the Dodgers are trying to play through anyone who seems remotely healthy is being brought a.s.a.p. Werth said as much a couple days ago and now Alvarez is experiencing mild shoulder tendinitis. All these guys skipped spring training almost entirely. Im hoping they can turn it around in time.

Yeah thankfully because of Petco Mitre can get a ton of 385 foot outs tommorrow. I trust our AAA starter more than Mitre though....
 
Joe Torre had another closed door meeting after the loss. I'm wondering if they served tea and crumpets?

Torre needs to fucking explode, with spit flying all over the place as he calls each and every one of those fuckers out. I have this vision of him calmly talking to the guys... "We sure sucked tonight, huh? More tea Derek? Another scone Gary?"
 
i'd yell more but why bother? if team is not team, just a collection of parts. if we dont make the playopffs it's a blessing in disguise. now let's hope steingrabber learns and starts building up the farm system like i've been advocating for years.

What good is a closed door meeting? Half of them are probably counting their money, the other half and trying to figure out if Torre's big buggly eyes allow him to see through lead.

We've needed to build the farm system for a long time, and losing is required. However, living out of state, I don't know how much bullshit I can take. What the hell do people want from me? Every fucking loss "Ha ha 200 million!" Yes I know 200 million, here's my left nut. Enjoy it, thank god I have 2. Fuckers. It's a lot of stress for just being a lifelong fan of a baseball team. :D Win, they hate us. Lose, they hate us. Sometimes I wish I was born in Milwaukee.
