I don't believe the Yankees admitted that. At least I never heard it. Maybe you're thinking of when Ozzy said he'd rather play New York than Cleveland?

I think that may be it, it was mentioned in a blurb on one of the Cleveland Sportstalk stations.

It went something to the effect of him saying that he'd thinks Cleveland is a better team than New York right now with better pitching especially.

BTW, I feel REALLY bad for Millwood. He's done a GREAT job so far, just with ZERO run support. He pitches a 4 hit game with only one run given up that wasn't even earned and he still took the loss. I think he's done a better job than CC so far.
 
I would rather have Milwood, Westbrook, Elarton or Lee on the mound than CC right now. He's just shaken. Although the last two games may be signs he's pulling out of it. He certainly hasn't avoided talking about his struggles to the media.

But I think Milwood is this staff's ace this year. If we were in a one game playoff or facing a must win, I'd want Milwood on the mound. No one's better at getting out of a tight spot.

Only problem the bats all develop holes in them and the Tribe whifs away at the plate.

I do agree about Millwood being the ace though. I never thought I'd say this, but honestly CC is probably the worst in the rotation right now. I think it's a case of too much too soon. I really feel he could have benefitted from another year in either Akron or Buffalo to work on his control and composure.
 
Ok, so the cubs can't muster any offense at all, but today they are crushing the Cardinals 10-4 in the 7th.

Much like every other year, we Met fans will just sit back and watch your Braves lose in the post-season. It's all good.

Anyway, I think the Cameron/Beltran collision signals the end of the '05 Mets season. We needed to win this game, and what's more, we needed two-thirds of our outfield.

This is what I love about the Mets. They always give 100% unlike the guys on other teams.

I didnt think what happened to them was funny douche,like Desperado said it was Ninja Scooter's joke that I thought was fucked up,but funny.I swear everytime you write posts in this baseball thread I feel dumber for reading them.

Another win under the Tribes belts, 2 1/2 games from wild card spot.

And *shock* they hit enough for Millwood for once. It's nice to see the bats come alive in the second half. Especially after the drought in the first half.
