I don't see why this is so hard to do.

I can like Stephen Jackson on my team and still acknowledge that he's a dumbass and that Indiana has every right to shot obscenities at him nonstop. I'm not going to all of a sudden pretend a guy isn't a douchebag who punches fans and jacks up dumb shots at every chance just because he's on my favorite team.

Hey man....JAX is awesome.

The same can be said for dick riders.
agreed- i dick ride because the heat are my team, but its hard to argue that the truth lies somewhere in the middle, but the haters just spew vitriol regardless

edit: on the flip side, I understand cavs fans allowing their hatred for lebron to cloud their reality, and I understand that they hate blindly; its the rest of the NBA and the rest of the fans hating blindly that doesn't make sense to me

Agreed. He was even ready to try and stop that fight from happening. :lol

I told you he'd be a legit backup for this team. :D

Can't believe it took Westphal this long to free him.

Even Luther Head is scoring at will. :lol

I'm glad LeBron decided to go to a team with such a lousy fanbase. Cavs fans were pretty insufferable with their dissertations about why Mo Williams deserved to be a 1st ballot all-star.

Agreed. But one of things I see is that for most it seems like the Heat = Lebron and Lebron alone. I know the celebration thing was excessive but I loved it, we are a party city and they threw a big party, it worked for us. Outside of that we are just like every other team trying to win.

Suns bench could beat a lot of low tier NBA teams by themselves.

Eh, not really. If dragic is on, he's so fkn good. If he's not, he's ridnour bad.

The bench has been underwhelming this year.

Yes, because A-Rod went on TV and blew up the Rangers and all of Texas before he went to NY. And before he left, he strung them along for 2 years and did not give two fucks during their playoff run.

Totally the same.

I like Miami as the bad guys, I really do, but goddamn Miami at least know what you're talking about. Fan up, etc.

A-Rod has a history of doing that, he did that with my high-school and now calls himself an alum. Would it piss me off? Probably not. If Hanley Ramirez wanted to leave the Marlins at the END of his contract while consistently earning an all-star nod on a team that isn't surrounding him with the players he needs to go deep into the playoffs, and then bolts for the Yankees for a major contract... I'd have no problem with it.

It seems that when the owners say "it's just business" to the players, it's usually OK. However when the tables turn, things get Heated.

There are a lot of athletes who are actually worth criticizing, but because their talents don't compare, nobody cares.

Heat fans are also used to being the villains after Riles bolted the Knicks for Miami, and I don't mind it.

So now Lebron purposely wanted to lose a playoff series? I've heard it all.

I'm sure going into the series, he wanted to win. But when the Celtics proved to be formidable opponents and things seemed to be in doubt, Lebron clearly checked out and basically didn't give a shit anymore.

Maybe it was his issues with Mike Brown. Or maybe it was Delonte banging his mom. Or maybe it was his elbow. Pick your excuse. Regardless it was clear to any competent observer that by midway through the series, winning was a secondary issue for Lebron. For someone who is the MVP, this is utterly shameful and pathetic. He did just enough to get his stat-line and that was it. He deserves the hate. People finally see him for the fake superstar he is. All image, no heart.

Sure, if you don't care about basketball fundamentals or refined skills. So he's great for the Miami fanbase.

If I want fundamentals I'll watch the WNBA. If I want to see someone perform physical acts that less than 1% of the population can do, i'll watch Lebron James crab dribble his ass to a spectacular dunk.

I'm only half joking. I'm a thunder fan for fundamentals...well last year I was, don't know wtf is up this year. But sometimes I want to see players entertain me in the same way I'll go see a mindless action movie for the oohs and aahs. And there is nothing wrong with that. We pay these man children disgusting amounts of money to entertain us. If that means taking 3 steps and running someone over to make an amazing dunk, I am ok with that once in a while. As long as it doesn't become the standard across the board.

I don't remember seeing you here...

I guess you had football taking up your time that year, huh?

Yup, I should have brought up Bledsoe.

Yes, you should have.

But hey, if we are going to judge players by one game, why don't we talk about the 0 pts (0-3), 2 ast, 4 TO in 24 mins night he had against POR 2 games ago? Oh right because we shouldn't judge a player by one game. Maybe he sucks because he averages 8 pts-5 ast-3 TOs in 30 mpg.

RT @nbadleague Antoine Walker helps Idaho Stampede get 1st win of season. Goes for 13 pts, 6 rbds, 3 assts in 26 mins of action.

:lol Good for him I guess.

He should shimmy himself into retirement. :(

Sorry but Lebron did quit. I dont know if it was on purpose or not but what I saw in that game was a man not trying his hardest or not paying attention like he normally does.
Cleveland has every right to hate on him.

Cleveland will stay the city of losers as far as fans go and I hope that city never wins a Championship ever again in any sport. And yes I'll admit right now that Lebron didn't seem to have his A game half way through that series. But am I suppose to take 2 or so games and act like the Cavs didn't win a title because of that?

I like Lebron (as a player) and even I have to agree with this. I think he got halfway through the series and said "fuck this, I am tired of having a mediocre team backing me, and I am tired of this cold, gray, and miserable city." And then he half assed the rest of the series because fuck it, he was either going to Chicago, New York, or Miami in a few months.
Bitch move that makes him a bitch? yes, but still great fun to watch play

Still doesn't make him a bitch in my opinion. His steller play over those 7 years waaaaaaaaaay outweigh that series. People in this thread act like they know the guy personally or something.

Well of course not, that would just be silly. Only Lebron and Wade should be allowed to do that. And Corey Maggette.

I told myself he would make a halfcourt shot in one of these games after he got really close against in another game. What does he do, make a shot from the free throw line on the other side of the court. Dude should enter the 3pt conest.

That's not a good enough reason to say he's not a true fan. But he's probably not. A few of us who bleed Miami sports laugh when we remember going to empty Heat and Marlins games where you could literally talk to the players from your seats. :(

LeBron has a worse record this year then he did last year at the same time with these "clowns" in Cleveland.
Again, I guess he has no help again.
Poor LeBron.

You still mad he left?
