You should only be allowed to root for four teams. Your team, Blake Griffin's team, teams playing against Russell Westbrook, and teams playing against Dwayne Wade.

What happens when the thunder play the heat?

dude, did you watch the game? They were terrible, I even said so in a post during the game.
Did you? I saw Lebron get stripped at half-court by CJ Miles then but somehow saved from a fastbreak by a ghost foul so mysterious that not even Velma knew what the fuck was going on.

Miami gets a free throw parade in nearly every game this season. Just be glad that you beat a good team for once and won on the road without an overwhelming surge of assistance from the refs.

And lol at anyone complaining about the heat not getting calls. Lebroad has terrible footwork and travels up a storm. Doesn't matter though because refs will never call those against him.

No government subsidies coming for Hornets.
Gov. Bobby Jindal said Tuesday that he will not sacrifice funding for state services to keep the Hornets NBA team in New Orleans.

“We want the Hornets to stay here,” Jindal said during a news conference at the Governor’s Mansion.

“We aren’t going to do anything that jeopardizes health care or higher education,” he said.

Instead, the governor said the best way to ensure the Hornets stay in Louisiana is to buy tickets to the team’s games as stocking stuffers for Christmas.

And that Larry brown quote is hilarious. Does he know that a guy has to shoot over 50% from midrange in order to be as effective as a 30% 3pt shooter?

Once upon a time, Larry Brown was a great coach. I think the NY experience totally ruined the man. Blame Isiah.
Knicks only got him because he sabotaged things in Detroit. See the trend?

Soooo much hate for Westbrook on NBA-GAF, I love it.

What's really happened is that he's taken some of the FT load away from Durant by driving more, and his ability to draw contact inside forces refs to blow the whistle. There's either a huge conspiracy going on in which every ref crew is rooting for us Donaghy-style and the other teams are simply victims, or he's actually good at drawing fouls, and that the vast majority of his fouls are legit. You need to have a damn fast PG (like Rose) to keep him out of the lane, and most bigs aren't athletic enough to legally contest his shots. And one thing that never seems to get mentioned is that he shoots close to 90% from the line, which makes his ability to get there all the more devastating. Refs can't influence how you shoot once you get there.

Not to mention that when it gets into crunch time, he's impossible not to watch. His knack for knocking down big 10-15-footers is incredible, and he's completely fearless on the floor. I understand people (like DY) who don't like him because he can be undisciplined, but not rooting for Westbrook because he draws fouls is ridiculous.

His FT shooting is one aspect of his game, but it's far from all he brings to the table. Top 10 in the league in assists, top 5 in steals, and top 10 in scoring, not to mention that he's by far the best rebounding PG in the league.

Did you ever think that at team could live or die from the line? ESPN presents 30 for 30: 40 for 40.
Did you ever think that one fanbase could feel so victimized by officiating?

ESPN presents "30 for 30: Shut the Fuck Up, Jazz Fans"

Sherron Collins has finally been sent down to the D-league. Thank you. Fuck.

Did you ever think you could take control by being out of control? ESPN presents 30 for 30: The Lane is my Highway.

Edit: And I just tease Gondo, he's actually one of my Fave 5s up in here.

I wish the Magic had a player who could get the line at will. Or rather, someone who can knock em down when he gets there :(
It really is weird to fully expect your entire team to knock down 85% of their FTs. I wasn't even that worried when Green shot 3 FTs against the Nets in overtime the other night.

That is something crazy going on there. It's like the players practice or care about it or something. What a crazy idea.

Not really. The author started doing Mets games earlier in the year. He now does this for Knicks games...

Mets version

All this early hubbub is gonna be pretty amusing in about a month.
Yes, all this raucous hubbub about the Knicks actually playing not .300 basketball has overwhelmed the thread. Nothing worse than a team happy to be .500 ya know.
