Clippers are nowhere near as bad as the Pistons or Heartbeak Cavs.

I am a casual basketball fan, always have been. I have followed the league since I was a kid when I was more of a Jordan fan than I was a Heat fan. Once Riley came here and we became a force I started to follow them more. I would go to a few games and watch all the playoff games. In terms of regular season I rarely would watch a game, honestly regular season basketball is not that interesting to me.
I have been a follower of the Heat all my life. A guy that likes to keep track of the team by watching highlights or the stat sheet but again rarely watched regular season games. I would go to games every once in a while, since Shaq I have gone to about 5-10 games a year. Come playoff time I am fully invested and I watch every game. I feel bad when we lose, I feel joy when we win, even if its a losing season where I don't really watch the games I feel disappointment, I still care. I have Heat loads of Heat memorabilia, I have an authentic Zo jersey in my closet. I do love my Heat.
Would I call myself a die hard fan, no way. I am a die hard Dolphins fan who will try to not miss one snap no matter how painful it is to watch. I am not like that with the Heat but I do consider myself a fan and a lifelong one at that. This is the first season where I watch every Heat game, this team is so interesting to me, its must see TV. It has even lead me here to further discuss basketball which is something I would rarely do. So what do you consider that?
Forceatowulf said:wtf? No they are not. Do you even watch basketball?

And then you've got people soiling Scottie Pippen's good name by saying he wasn't a top 50 player and Bosh being the best PF in the league and all kinds of other shit...

If I was a Laker fan, I would be pissed having to win like that. Your team looks like they try just enough to get a W but not much else. The fact that they had to escape the Clippers is inexcusable, hey, I guess a win is a win, right?
:\
All that talent but no interest in giving 100% on a nightly basis.
At least my Cavs gave the Bulls a game tonight. We came up short but only lost by 5.
I know it's only a moral victory but as a Cleveland fan, it's pretty much all we have these days.
Lakers better bring it vs. Chicago or they are gonna get stomped. Sorry Lakers-Age, but that's the truth and you know it.

Well Ron is stronger than Lamar which is what probably contributed to his effectiveness against Beast Griffin. But I think LO's foul trouble had a lot to do with his poor defense as well.Darkman M said:Yeah Ron matched up really well on him. Blake was getting anything he wanted on Odom low post.

I just wanted to point out that I have reservations about dismissing anybody, whether they have been a basketball fan for 30 years or 30 days. I don't like the idea of alienating new fans. I know random people who pop into this thread to talk shit and then vanish forever is likely irritating when they don't stick around to contribute anything beyond "Lebron assfucked you!"
But I wonder how many fans avoid this thread because everytime they open it, they see pages of hostility and anger. You can argue they should man up and just jump in but at the same time, they may have a point. Sometimes this thread can be ridiculous. Hence why I lurk almost every night but only post once or twice a week.

Don't be too upset. The Clips were the better team for the majority of the night and fought with more heart than the Lakers, that's for damn sure.Adam Blade said:[IMGhttp://www.roughingthekicker.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/noose.jpg[/IMG]

I'm absolutely convinced that if DJ were in New York instead of Ray, he'd easily be the best PG in the East. Instead, Larry has him fighting for minutes with Shaun Livingston because DJ's points in the paint aren't as high as he'd like.Blackace said:Bobcats are just coached like the worst team in the NBA

Well there is certainly a certain level of stupid that should be addressed...like what you listed. But I don't think I have seen any of that tonight to be honest. The argument tonight seems to be between "heat hooraaaay, and heat suck my ass hair!"
Now I know you're trolling :lolmckmas8808 said:I'd honestly say your Bobcats are better than the Clippers easily. Just having Larry Brown for me gives them the edge. I think the Clippers and the possibly the Timberwolves have the talent to be way better but their franchises are holding them back.

The Crimson Blur said:Thats reasonable and everything but you gotta understand that there is no real hostility in what we say. I don't actually dislike you dawg. The reason why we do it, particularly with new posters, is because we don't want this thread to be shit. Other sports forums are there for fly-by posting. Go to a team's general forum or a random NBA forum for that. We only have one thread. If we have people posting nonsense all the time, this thread would be awful. Its our way of weeding out people who can't take a joke/have a terrible sense of humor.

LB doesn't ask a lot of DJ. He just hates him. Plain and simple. Pick and roll with Hibbert and TJ Ford - go under every time. yes, i know you're 5'11 and TJ is going to abuse you and there is no chance TJ is going to shoot from 3. your pain, it pleases me more than winning ever could.UltimaKilo said:I'd agree that Larry always has had a knack for asking a lot out of his PGs, but I'm not sure he would automatically be better than Rondo. That guy has some great court-vision. He's be more on the level of Nelson methinks.
