No.
Larry Brown left Detroit with a second trip to the Finals that went all the way to game 7. Hardly sabotage.
The problem was he started having health issues and then he pulled his usual Larry Brown antics by talking to the Cavs organization about a front office position before the Piston's playoff run had even ended, which pissed off Joe.
IMO, Larry Brown and the Pistons dissolved the relationship about a couple years too early. Both needed each other more than they realized. Larry Brown knew how to keep the Piston player's edge and the Pistons fit Larry Brown's "Team" concept perfectly with no superstar egos.
When Larry left, Flip came and made the Piston players much more complacent. They did better in the regular season, but they still stayed in chillax mode even in the playoffs until they were ultimately embarrassed year after year.
And Larry Brown on his new teams, got immature players who basically didn't give a shit. Also the roster situation was so FUBARed that even all the subsequent coaches in NY couldn't make it work.
I haven't been following Brown with the Bobcats, so I don't know what the dynamics are. But IMO, I think it was the health issues he had in '05 that damaged him. I don't think he's had quite the same energy level. At least not enough to start from scratch with a bottom-feeder.
