KG's playoff numbers are pretty damn good. 3 year stretch of 24/19, 27/16, 24/14.5. Wow. He was a physical freak back then.
The 24/19 one was just 3 games. Mainly because despite his impressive numbers, he gave up 33/16 to Dirk in that series.

Get the funk out of here with the Lebron "possible GOAT small forward" talk.

Athletic players like Kemp and Dominique look great in their mid 20s, but as soon as they sustain an injury or lose their athleticism their whole game basically falls apart. Lebron so far has shown no real evidence that he's willing to work on weak-points in his game. Ever since the Cavs were embarrassingly swept by the Spurs in '07, everyone has known that Lebron desperately needs a semblance of a post game if he's going to go to the next level. Yet over 3 years later, it's still embarrassingly under-developed.

I have a feeling he's not going to work on it until his scoring average takes a huge dive. But by then, it will probably be too late. You can't develop a truly effective post-game overnight. It takes a few seasons to perfect. With Jordan and Kobe, you could already see hints they were trying to expand their game long before they lost all their verticality.

As for rings, yes Lebron will have to win at least one as "The Man". Kobe went through the same thing. Bird, Magic, and Jordan had great supporting casts, but they were clearly the Lead Dogs on the team. Wade and Lebron is basically Shaq and Kobe. Kobe didn't move into the discussion of the top ten players until he won in '09 with him as the Alpha dog..

What a load of BS. Dominique Wilkins was almost scoring 30 points a game for the Clippers and he was 34 years old. It had been years that he had lost his athleticism (ruptured his Achille's tendon during the 1991-92 season). Don't pull examples out of your ass. That's like talking about 80s Jordan as a strictly "athletic player" and saying he never adapted his game after his "mid 20s"...

His comeback to the Spurs was also something.

Next time you want to lecture people, don't act all smug if you're going to make up shit as you go.

I wasn't lecturing. I was trolling Lebron as I frequently enjoy doing.

That said, I stand corrected. I was going off memory and my memory as a kid/early teen was that Dominique basically disappeared in the mid-90s. Probably due to him going back and forth playing overseas in his later years.

For a NBA star playing overseas is not good for your legacy regardless of the circumstances. They should end their career on an NBA team, but that's another topic.

I think it's fine if you're from Europe/overseas and you want to end your career on a team from your home country as a tribute. But American players doing it is just sad.

Now that Boozer and Korver are gone, the Jazz are no longer hated. God I hated shark face and douche-nozzle.

How can you hate Korver?

Anyway, good win for the Jazz last night, but it's time to start beating quality opponents. We've beaten up on teams like the Magic and Hornets, but have lost to elite teams mostly in the last couple weeks as the team gets exhausted in the 4th. Unfortunately, I'm expecting more of the same tonight :(

Millsap's shooting 77% at the rim this season despite a way larger sample size than most in the NBA. Time to start considering him to be the best finisher in the NBA.

Attendance for Oklahoma City at New Orleans: 14,428.

You could at least make it difficult for your team to leave town, guys. The league is going to be able to terminate the lease at this rate.

Ray Allen was the best offensive player for the celtics when they won the ring. He should have been MVP.

Pierce was the one making all the big plays throughout that entire series.

The award isn't given out just because of how many points you drop. If that were the case, every scoring champion in the regular season should get the award, right?

:lol This is something I'd expect from a Heat "fan".

Ray Allen was more consistent and hit some big shots to keep them in it.

He would turn Randolph into a player.
No he wouldn't, he have the spurs install another bench behind the actual bench just for AR, and if AR was lucky he'd get a couple minutes per game on the actual bench. Think about it, the kid is too dumb to play for Mike D'Antoni...

I can't agree with that. KG could anchor teams... Charles couldn't defend for crap. It's close though, but I have to give the edge to KG.

Charles was a decent defender before his back problems..

And played in the paint way better than KG..

That would be the best part. Either Pop turns him into a useful player, or we get to watch his hilarious reactions for the rest of the season.

OKC's beat writer said that number was extremely generous, too. Looked like less than 10,000 from the broadcast, honestly.

Knicks should be looking for another guard in this trade too, Douglas seems not to be the answer.
The story is that this pick would be used with Curry, Gallo (or Chandler) and Fields. But I really think Donnie is just gonna wait Denver out.

My stance has been the same since the summer, take Gallo and Curry or get Cavaliered at the end of the season.

I'm all for trading AR for some bench depth though.

edit: and lets give TD a little more time, apparently he's hurt. And he was playing well to start the season.

Is this yoke? You know how many threes he's hit against us? And then grinned his happy ass back to play D? God I hated him. It was like he played like a white man most of the time but when the Rockets came to town he had to start drainin em like he was Miller. Gotdamn.

Dominique played until he was 59 or something. Pretty sure he was putting up 20 ppg on decent % in his late 30s. Then he went over to Europe and won a championship over there averaging 20+ ppg. Kemp's problems had more to do with drugs than anything else.
