On the Spurs where he has played for years.. He plays SG or SF depending on the lineup..
. He does, all the time. Particularly before George hill, when Parker sat, the offense basically started with manu bringing the ball up, even if he dumped it to TD and let him run some of it from the post.

Actually he does often when TP is in as well.. Because Parker moves very well without the ball for a PG..

Its the truth now though.

If NY can't trade for picks, then they're not getting him this year. Melo might've said to the Nuggets i'm not signing this extension, so either trade me or i walk. Which is what i'd believe a lot more than him declaring he only has one team he wants to go to, because the nuggets aren't that stupid of a team to just accept bits and pieces they don't want from NY.

To get those picks, to pick up Anthony, NY will probably have to trade away one guy for a pick, and send the other to the nuggets. Or trade both for multiple Picks. I'm sure NJ would probably give you a first rounder this year (considering this draft) for galo, he can't be worse than the doofus they currently have.

You apparently have a good shot at picking him up in FA. But then you're contending with everyone.

I still want to see him on the Magic. I think along with howard he'd be fkn devestating. I don't know if they'll be able to get the picks though to do it in a trade.

Oh yeah, i was just trying to give an explicit example.

People are confirming that Melo said he wants a trade to NY.

People confirmed he just wants out and NY is a spot he would like to go.. most likely he will go there through FA not through a trade, the nuggets seem dug in about not trading him there

And sources are saying otherwise too, but the only thing they're consistent on is that he definitely told them he's not signing the extension, with them anyway.

Also, just putting this out there. Even under the new CBA melo's probably going to want max, or very close to max money. And the knicks have ~42million on the books, with only one of those being a TO that they can kill, worth about a million.

http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_york.htm

Could be interesting to see how the new CBA affects their ability to sign him.

New season of basketball wives is on now. Antione Walker's ex-wife makes me almost for sorry for the guy.

Edit: Kenny Andersen's ex-wife joins the cast this season :lol

Nuggets News/the Denver Post is refuting reports about Denver's star player and primary attraction leaving. This is certainly more believable, especially given the context of things all summer and all season long!

[EDIT: @giri, Chandler, Turiaf, and Walker would be gone in a second to make sure the Knicks could fit Melo's contract in there in 2011 FA.]

Yo, blackace:
The Seattle Times said:
It could happen according to several people interested in bringing the team to Seattle. But only if Ballmer is interested in fighting the good fight.

The NBA wants Ballmer in its fraternity, and people close to him say Ballmer wants in. But he'll never be the public leader. He probably will never announce a news conference or give a lengthy interview stating his good intentions.

But he will be involved in the talks with his friend Stern. He can tell Stern of a plan to build a privately funded arena in Bellevue.

He probably can sell Stern on the idea that the City of Seattle is willing to make a generous deal to use KeyArena as the new Sonics' transition home.

He will be competing for the Hornets with Kansas City, which already has an arena waiting. But Ballmer can argue to Stern that Seattle has rich potential corporate dollars that Kansas City doesn't have.
I still support this as the most logical solution (only partially because I want Oklahoma City's ref respect out of the division).

And instead i should believe NYT journalist, who many knick fans discredit themselves. Or the news outlet that had LBJ leaving to NY all last season?

The only thing you can do when this shit goes to press is look for the consistencies in it. And thats only that they all agree, Melo has told denver he won't re-sign with them.

If KC got the team I wouldn't hate.. but I don't think it would be as good for the NBA as Seattle..

What, would the Hornets and Thunder switch divisions?

That would just make the Southwest even more ridiculous. Just go back to two divisions, having three divisions doesn't really help anything.

They were also the ones that reported that Denver was the team dragging its feet in the 4 team deal that would've netted them Favors, 2 picks, and an expiring.

But hey, not everyone can be the NYTimes. I mean, ESPN's credibility is at an all-time high too amirite?

If the Hornets move to Seattle, they'd have to. You can't have Seattle in the same division with teams in Texas, with Portland a couple hours away.

That division would be ridiculously stacked though. At least for a few years.

I still say go back to two divisions per conference.

That doesn't make your divison any less stacked..

Did the Sonics keep their history/records?

Yes, but only if they found a new team within 10 years or something, there was a time limit. After that it became OKC's, or something nonsensical like that.

Well, the banners and championship trophy are now at the University of Washington. So I don't think Bennett is all that concerned. He got the team, the history is ancillary and doesn't mean anything to Oklahoma.

He is better without it..

If Seattle does land a new team it is like he never came in a lied to the nation..

Celsior said:
Yeah, it was one of they conditions of moving the team.

^^

that's fact...but team records like most points in franchise history are Sonic records. I think Seattle kept the colors, names, banners, and other shit like that.

OKC would also inherit the team colours and name, if they wanted it. But if i'm OKC, i don't actually WANT any of that stuff. I'd rather my history be from the time we started in OKC. And i can't see any upside to getting any of the sonics history. As you said, they got what they wanted, the team, getting the history would just be a constant reminder of how they got it.

The name doesn't mean anything to them and the colors, while 1000x better than their current look, also doesn't suit the area they are in..

I'm not above wanting the Hornets name back in Charlotte if Seattle gets their Sonics back.

I think the colors at the very least need to be back in NC.. it was the perfect bastard child of Duke and NC

I'm kind of hoping that MJ goes through with the Melo rental too. It'd give the people in Charlotte can boo someone aside from Duke alumns.

If it happens, they have to use an update of this logo:

Is that even a possible thing, for OKC to relinquish their history to Seattle so that if the Hornets moved there, they could be the Sonics again - and then for the Hornets to grant their history to the Bobcats retroactively?

Is there a precedent for stuff like that in pro sports? I know teams move and stuff all the time, but a double/triple move and history swap is sorta crazy, lol.

Outside of the Hornets history moving back to NC Seattle holds their history so it is already done.. this is a first in sports I think..

I may be wrong but the Ravens have all of the former Browns history and the Browns are a new franchise...

Basketball Wives S2: Kenny Andersen's ex-wife vs Antoine Walker's ex-wife

Who ya got?

nope, the Browns kept their history. The Ravens are 1996-present.

There's a rumor being floated around for a Wince/Gortat for Monta/Biedrins swap. Monta's a stud but shit, Meer and Ellis would be tiny ass backcourt and a Monta/Pietrus/Bass lineup would consequently turn the arena into a quasar.

If all this Carmelo stuff is true then he is a much bigger bitch than LeBron. Yeah he told the franchise what his intentions and wants were but isn't this the very definition of quitting on your team?

awesome! good for the Browns..

How about the Oliers?
