Heat killin it. Damn, just got through the last two quarters. Wade was unstoppable. James was unstoppable, Bosh was unstoppable.

On any given night K-mart can give us similar numbers to a superstar, but we don't get half the results. Sad.

And I thought the Hornets matched up so well with the Heat too.. :(

That was before the false-confidence spell wore off.

Same thing is about to happen to the Mavs.

I was joking.. The Hornets have nothing for Bosh, Wade, or LBJ..on both sides of the ball..

isn't k-mart usualy saved for the nuggets guy?

anyway, YOUR budget store has always put up numbers but adversely affected his team. In a 6th man role, like JET, he'd be fine. As a starter? DO NOT WANT.

They have my man the RZA! He played some good D tonight, and was the one that forced james into that stupidly great shot from behind the basket.

For the announcers wondering how he hit that, he practices that all the time if you watch their warm ups.

Gallo and Melo were cracking me up the whole game. Watch the highlights again and check out Melo's face when Gallo hit that long 2 in the 4th. They really don't like each other.

Bosh said of Wade: ``He plays good angry. I don't play good angry. I don't understand it. . . . It's nice to watch it when you have the same jersey. It's not as fun when you're on the other team.''

Fucking great.

So what's up with Chris Paul? Getting whooped by Westbrook, goes for 11/5 (8 reb) in a huge game against the Heat? Not the same player right now, has to be the knee right?

He caught Portlanditis

I dont think its the knee. Maybe its his confidence in his knee so hes holding back, but there have been too many times he has cut hard or done some pretty intense moves without any slowdown or lingering pain being evident.

But right now he is just flat out not what he once was. Yeah hes almost 50% from the field and behind the arc and his per is through the roof but I honestly think he has fallen out of the top 5 in PGs with his recent play.

You watch him and then you watch guys like Williams, Rose, Westbrook and a few others and with Pauls subpar play in the fourth, his almost invisible offensive presence through long stretches when his scoring is desperately needed and the way oppossing PGs have scored on hum recently and I certainly feel he has fallen below a number of PGs right now.

Maybe he'll get it back and its just a slump but right now he is a shadow of his former self.

This is all coming from a diehard Hornets fan.

Probably just a slump. He's typically pretty consistent...

Consistently just a bit behind Deron.

And it's just a slump. I'd still take him over Westbrook or Rondo.

JJ Barea is shooting 14% on threes while attempting 2.3 of them in 20mpg :lol

I don't know why I punish myself by being a fan of such a stupid team.

Considering all the whining you do, you would be a better fit with Washington or the Wolves.

FFS, you currently support the number 3 team in the league. A 30 team league.

Only because of Dirk. They'd be Cleveland-good without him.

No fun watching a team that could win it all if they just got a player 3/4 as good your star and they can never do it.

The Mavs have been better than average for a long time. They don't get moral victories anymore...

It's plenty of fun. I loved Ewing-era Knicks. Best player he had alongside him is probably '96 Anthony Mason. Or Allan Houston when Ewing was toast.

You guys have Kidd, Marion, Butler, Tyson Chandler, Terry, Beaubois and plenty of serviceable players like Haywood and Stevenson...

But noooo, you hate Terry because he's... unclutch?

I swear, sometimes GAF amazes me. It's like that dude who said that Mike Conley's problem was that he couldn't dribble. Exactly their strong point and it becomes an issue.

Mavs are stacked. They're in the running. Stop complaining and ENJOY your team FFS. It's like you don't remember the Three Js.

Seeing the future, a lot less fun than it sounds.

Stacked by Knicks standards does not mean stacked by actual standards. It's like converting to metric.

It's not exactly awesome when it takes a front office 10 years to finally put a decent center next to the star PF.

2 Finals appearances in the 90s, like the Jazz... much better than tons of teams during the decade. You just don't know what it is to have the right to complain as much as you do. Were you watching basketball before Nowitzki came to the Mavs?

Like converting to metric? Terrible analogy.

You win titles with players like Luc Longley, Radoslav Nesterovic, and Kendrick Perkins averaging under 7/7...

Shots fired my ass, from 1992 to 1994, Mavs won 24 games out of 164. It didn't take them 6 years to get back into the playoffs but 10. Branduil has seemingly only known the Cuban-era Mavs to say that my standards are low.

Ray Allen: 43.5% 3PT (47-108)
Rose: 42.1% (40-95)

Damn
This is pretty silly. Rose is shooting well, but part of that is almost certainly because he's not being defended aggressively on the three-point line. If Ray Allen faced the same pressure he'd shoot a ridiculous percentage.

"It ain't Chinese algebra," said reserve guard Tony Allen, who was part of the Grizzlies' defensive effort with a pair of steals in the fourth. "If you get stops, and you execute on offense, normally that teams wins."

There's different ethnicities of algebra?

Tony majored in Chinese Math when he was at Oklahoma State.

Yes, we made the major up specifically for athletes, but damn does it sound impressive!

You realize Dirk is the reason the Mavs will probably never win a championship, right? You can't win championships when your power forward, who plays 35+ minutes a game, doesn't even attempt to play in the paint. He doesn't get offensive rebounds and can't guard the other team's 4 or 5. They will never ever ever be able to beat a team like the Lakers or Celtics in a 7 game series.

Can't wait to watch K-Mart shit on his old team tonight like all players always do! :D

Hey, maybe Carl Landry will actually play like he gives a shit tonight too!
