really I didn't know 8 = 11

The Heat's winning streak probably would have ended at 8 or 9 too if they played Boston instead of the Cavs earlier this week. Easy schedules are fun.

I don't blame you though, the way ESPN has been hyping the Heat's winning streak, it's understandable for the vast unwashed to believe the Heat are on an unparalleled march to greatness.

But truth is, it's not uncommon for above average teams to go on long winning streaks during a favorable portion of their schedule. This winning streak of the Heat doesn't make them an elite team.

All this winning streak has done is give Spo and the 3 egos some room to breath while they get their shiznet sorted out. It means they don't have to worry about LeBaby leaking "anonymous" complaints to ESPN for the time being. But they still haven't shown how they will handle adversity. During their first rough patch everyone (save Spo) was running for the hills. It seems everyone is scared to take responsibility when things go bad and don't want their reputation damaged.

I really wonder if the Heat can handle another rough patch without people throwing each other under the bus.

Mahinmi comes in and hits four straight free throws. Haywood would have to shoot 16 free throws before he hit that many.

It's clear who should be the backup C at this point.

Mahinmi sucks brah. Trust me on this one. I've watched him for years now.

You know you're a bad defensive team when:

Rudy Fernandez drives from the three point line to the basket uncontested and has his first driving dunk in two seasons.

DAT career high in scoring.

That "not as big a deal as you make it out to be" quote regarding the Wolves' D is a fireable offense, right?
If it's not, it should be. I mean... Rudy Fernandez? Really?

Ridnour hasn't been back long but he's already making a strong case for worst player getting regular minutes in the league.

Can someone explain to me again how the Magic are one of the few title contenders? Every single team they've beaten in the playoffs has been:

A: Terrible
B: Without their MVP
C: Or was a regular season warrior that folded against everyone in the playoffs.

I mean, they're seriously discussing giving up an expiring contract for Gilbert Arenas. A below average player who hasn't played more than 30 games a season NBA FOR THE LAST THREE SEASONS and has 4 years, $80 million left on his deal. That's not a deal that a title contender makes.

Gilly is many things but a below-average player he is not. The deal is stupid long-term for the Magic but they are desperate and see their window closing (especially if Dwight leaves) so I understand it at the same time. I don't think the Magic are a serious title contender this year but they have proven people wrong before about how far they could go.

They should fire him and if he gets upset say "it's not as big a deal as you make it out to be."

Ridnour :lol
I mean, really. How can Rambis preach accountability and keep giving Ridnour and Brewer big minutes? There's no good reason for Wesley Johnson and Jonny Flynn to be on the bench.

Foul?? Don't tell me that was a shooting foul.

Steve Javie :lol :lol :lol

Beasley borrowing that move from Durant. At least he's finally getting some ref respect.
On replay that was a clean strip by Matthews. Javie continues to be a piece of shit.

The Magic aren't title contenders this year because Lewis has declined dramatically and Vince is being Vince more than ever. However you're a moron if you didn't think they were elite the previous two seasons.

That last play that was drawn up by Rambis for love to take a 20 footer with 18 sec on the shotclok was terrible.

How did the Wolves manage to win 6 games this year?
By accident mostly. Usually it's when Beasley and Darko actually well and the two of them combine with Love for an outpouring of offensive/rebounding/blocking monster stats that completely obscure their general awfulness.

Tougher win than I'd like, but without Roy, Camby, and Batum? I'll take it.

My one Lakers game of the year and the Lakers look like dog shit. Sadly the highlight of the game was when Michael Vick walked by and the crowd went totally bananas.

We gotta get better. We won't even get to the Finals playing like this. Pau kind of disgraced himself tonight too. Sixers scrub center pretty much owned him and he was walking up the floor on defense making the Lakes play 4 on 5 without him.

Not fun... :(

Lakers are racking up the moral losses this season.

So what do you guys think is wrong with the Lakers the last several weeks?

Is it exhaustion/injuries or they just mentally out of it?
Lakers gonna Lake

Huh, I'm hearing that the Jazz team is plagued with the flu right now. Not good news for this road trip. You could tell that they had no effort tonight. Dang.

They don't give a shit about the regular season, I reckon.

Kobe was in single digits and they won. He's not usually in single digits.

For all of Heat-Age sucking each other's dicks over this streak, remember that time in 2008 the Rockets ran off 22 games and won the championship?

Neither do I.
