That Rosen article...:lol

Move along, it´s just another Charley Rosen article. The guy is so crazy he used to play mind games with Phil Jackson.

99% of what he writes is garbage. Kind of like an ecentric Peter Vecsey.

I can agree on those guys in some form except for Garnett. But none of their careers are over, it's way too early to say so.

There is no doubt in my mind he deserves to be in.

But the one thing he was, in his prime, was soft in the fourth. But whatever he should a first ballot HoFer

I can't believe the Lakers haven't played the Spurs, Mavs, or Celtics yet.

Our schedule gets really hard towards the end of the season. So if you guys keep your winning ways up until that point, you guys should be good.

I don't think that's been the case since he joined Boston. But before that, there's no doubt he was soft late in games.

At home he has been pretty clutch late in games. But he can still disappear on the road.

He was actually pretty clutch in Minnesota that one year they got to the WCF before he disappeared against the Lakers.

Sloan is awesome:

Reporter: "What are your thoughts on tying Pat Riley on the all-time wins list?"
Sloan: "I don't have any"

Reporter: "This is your first win in Cleveland in six years, what do you think of that?"
Sloan: "Well, they're a different team. I wonder why."

Anthony is expected to accept a contract extension with the Nets following a trade if the team is able to bring back a package of significant talent with him, according to league sources.

significant talent

So far, packages include some of Anthony's Denver teammates -- including Al Harrington.

Al Harrington

Currently, the Nets are preparing to send Derrick Favors, Troy Murphy, two or three first-round picks and $3 million to the Nuggets for Anthony and Harrington.

The Thuggets should snap that shit up. Favors, Murphy, and three first-rounders is adequate compensation, and WAY better than anything the Knicks could offer.

Unless, of course, future MVP Landry Fields is included

I wish I still lived back in SoCal. I would probably pick up some ticket packages just to see Blake and EG. I hope BD can focus on being a facilitator too.

Those two do NOT go together

I like how this article exists on RGM, and in the same wiretap a conflicting article says that Denver/Carmelo is waiting to see how the Nuggets look with a full cast. I also like how this article about Melo x Nets - the same one that has been running since like, August (and mysteriously Melo hasn't been dealt to NJ...wonder why) seems to suggest that the Nets will have to add more value to the trade, and that they'll be able to do so without gutting a 9-win basketball team that has 2.5 good players on it...and to top it off, they'd be doing it to take on Al Harrington :lol

I still wonder why the Nets are so fish eyed on Melo. He's not 30 or anything...but is free agency really the route you want to go with such a young team? Just seems like it's a move to be closer to .500 and to put asses in seats rather than any real desire to build a power program.

That's exactly why.
That Russian dude didn't buy that team to lose money while it languishes in Newark and development hell keeps the stadium in Brooklyn being built slowly. That man needs a guy to sell tickets. Brook Lopez isn't that guy. Derrick Favors won't be that guy now (and maybe never will be that guy). Devin Harris isn't that guy. The D-leaguers on that team aren't that guy. But Carmelo Anthony - Brooklyn-born boy - can be sold as that guy.

Even if they never win anything, they hope that Anthony/Lopez/Harris and supporting cast can put asses in seats and sell tickets and make money - even though Kidd/Martin/Jefferson/Kittles never did, and Kidd/Carter/Jefferson never did either.

I'd be excited about Melo leaving the division, but I just saw my team quit on its coach.

Shouldn't you be thrilled then? He's probably on his way out IMO...

Mixed feelings. Given Rambis is so terrible, I knew they were going to quit on him eventually, but watching the Wolves drop 23 of 29 games is really disheartening.

And then you realize the Wolves have had 7 first round draft picks in 2 years and only have Martell Webster, Wesley Johnson, and the rights to Ricky Rubio to show for it.

Taylor needs to axe Kahn and Rambis and promote Ronzone and Bill Laimbeer ASAP to try and salvage this season. We're past the point of a complete rebuild again, but Kahn and Rambis can't be allowed to go on.

Outside of Rambis as well as Jonny Flynn over Steph Curry, I don't know how many bad moves Kahn has really made.
But Flynn over Curry should haunt him to the grave and hiring Rambis is a fireable offense because Kahn had to have known during the interview process the schemes he'd put in place.

For Kahn, this success of the ship is predicated on it being captained by El Pistola, who probably won't be the superstar Kahn is praying for. That's why Taylor needs to say goodbye to both to and bring in new guys to finish the rebuild rather than start anew because there are players here now, but the coaching is abysmal, and I don't trust Kahn to bring in the right guy.

Look at the Knicks. Revitalized from getting one player!

Even Do the roster is kinda in a weird spot. Do you think Beasley can continue playing the 3? He and Love are both too good to not play but Beasley is a much better 4 than 3.

By the way I'm glad Beasley is playing well. Most of the morons in here claiming that we should have just kept Beasley instead of overpaying Bosh were the ones calling him a bust and "lol futar no. 1 option in Miami!"

Even though I hate the Jazz, Sloan is hilarious! I've always loved how he responds to media questions. :lol

Chicago fans should love Sloan. He was an enforcer for the Bulls, in his playing days.

I think Beasley's been good at the 3. The 82games numbers are dead wrong. They have him playing a crazy amount of his minutes at PF and he really hasn't played it that much.

At the 4, he has real problems. He's not a good rebounder, he's undersized, his defensive issues are more apparent. Opposing 4s just body him, and he becomes a tentative jump shooter.

Take last night: he was doing work against Ryan Gomes in the 1st quarter, driving the ball, getting to the line, getting easy shots. When he came back in the game, Rambis put him at PF, and Griffin over-matched him at both ends. And he's not even a good defensive player.

The best part about Sloan is that win or lose, it's never anybody's fault but his or the players. The one thing he says all the time when asked if the Jazz could have won if X guy was healthy or if call Y had gone their way is, "nobody is going to feel sorry for you, you still make the decision to play the game and if you're waiting for them to feel sorry for you then you'll be waiting a long time." Even after the worst loss where one or two breaks goes the wrong way it still makes me laugh.

But I have been saying that KG for years

KG has never been a clutch scorer, but he's clutch in other aspects of his game. He's a great defensive power forward, and he has always stepped it up in the fourth quarter. Not every player is going to be a close-out scorer. You have to see what they do and how they contribute, and KG certainly plays better in the fourth on the defensive end.

Hey look Dy! The Bobcat's made ESPN's Daily Dime!

As "The Worst" (again):

MONDAY'S WORST

Bobcats in general: Taken to the woodshed by the Wiz? A 33-point loss? Enough turnovers (27) to open a bakery? One field goal in the third quarter? Santa's putting a huge question mark in these Cats' stockings.

The stellar play of Grant Hill, Jared Dudley and Josh Childress is all the more important with the Suns and Carter considering arthroscopic surgery for Carter's troublesome left knee that could put him out for up to a month.
Jesus. He's been in Phoenix like 12 minutes.

Boombloxer said:
To be fair, he's been that way for years. Knee surgery or not, I think the Suns just heard "Gortat/Dump Turk" and pulled the trigger.

Fixed.

VC will be a salary dump or trade bait. Peaches could be exciting if he's willing to play D.

You wait to do those sort of things until you're in competent hands.

Pretty much this. I doubt the Magic even recommended it to him. Let's see if the Miracle Medical Staff can resurrect Vince's corpse after that surgery.
