I yelled at my radio when one of the local guys was talking about ponying up the cash to keep Uncle Jeff. The more I learn about the game, the more I am understanding that he is just not good for us.
Yeah and no. He'd be great, as a 6th man. But he's your best trade chip to get a defensive C.

Unsurprising, Knick fan not wanting to read sense.
If every team allowed 5 threes a quarter that's 20 makes a game. Not good, especially with the opposing team not hitting. As for sense, you said Howard's dominating 10 points on 2-11 FGs in a half was the reason the Knicks are behind big...

right...

It's stupid, forget it. Howard was not that much of a factor in the 2nd yet he claims his contribution is what helped them pull away. Then he makes up some silly argument about treys not mattering because it gets the Magic back closer to their average... like the Knicks are not underperforming themselves from longrange, and as if 5 out of 8 treys won't matter in 12 minutes... Whatever. It's pointless.

Liking what I see so far in the 3rd. I like that they don't back down, kind of like the Heat game...

I haven't posted about howard during the game today. Last night against the Cavs he looked fucked in the second half. He's slowing down compared to how he started the season. He's taking longer to make moves, and at the start of the season when he was balling, he would only ever take one dribble. Now he's going for 2 or 3, and getting it ripped away all the time, like last season. I'm guessing he's been putting in some big hours on the practice court to get the team organised since the trade, and its takinga toll (not to mention SVG has been giving him HUGE minutes).

Yes, if they let that in every quarter, it would be. But they didn't let 5 in EVERY quarter, they let 5 in, in a HALF. out of 15 attempts. If they'd have gone 5/5 i would've agreed with you also. But they didn't.

Doesn't really help if they lose like in the Heat game. :C

Sure, but like the Heat they're a top 3 team in the East... NY is far from being in that category... They're with the Bulls and the Hawks in the second tier.

You should learn to read and to reason. It'd help.

It was Crimson
Well I think thats largely because Dwight has been destroying you guys after Amare went to the bench.
similar floating heads, eh. And 3 threes.

:lol Simmons' Laker podcast was actually pretty good to listen to, had some good insight and thoughts on Kobe, but the funniest moment was when Simmons' announced that he had the perfect trade idea for the Lakers to cure their ills: Bynum for Nash and Gortat. :lol :lol :lol You can tell he expected JA Andade to be all over that idea instead he just shrugged it aside and said it was terrible. Simmons' really needs to get over his man crush on Steve Nash.

Amar'e Stoudemire...
Dwight Howard...

Race to see who can pick up their 4th foul first...
Dwight can pick up fouls just by looking at the refs funny most of the time so this is not really a fair contest.

...what? The Suns would be getting fleeced in that trade.

Would the late LB have played Green at all over Diaw?
LB would've benched everyone if it was option.

I'm talking about Chicago though. Tyrus is 'crazy as shit', but he's a nice guy and genuinely tries to do the right thing. OKC was too concerned about their good guy image to take a shot at him. Charlotte landed Tyrus for practically nothing...

God Knicks are blowing their chances at cutting into this lead.

After Amare went out, Dwight got nearly all his stats for the half. He got 6 FTs (made 5), a dunk, and 2 offensive rebounds. The 3s in that span (two), came from him establishing deep position. I'd say he had a bigger impact than the shooting in that span of time....

Uhhh... Adande probably didn't just want to call him a dumb ass on air. salaries don't match, we don't want bynum, and the lakers don't have anything we want at the moment. (I mean gasol yeah, but does that put us over hte top? eh...).

This is an amazing trade for the Lakers, it's an upgrade for two starting positions.

I'm sick and tired of Simmons' podcasts. He spends half the show talking about impossible trades and pretending they have a chance at happening. The other half is him saying the same old shit: "after so many games, your body wears down!", "i really love watching the clips!", "x team that is not Boston is in reaaaal trouble!", etc.

WTF would Phil want with an old Nash anyway? Granted it would be great to have a shooter like that on the team, but not at the expense of Bynum. Most of Nash's other top skills (his dribbling and passing) would be diminished greatly playing in the Tri with Kobe, and his defense is as bad as Fisher's. And it's not like Bynum is cheap why would Sarver want him? Why not just keep Nash at least you know he's a fan favorite. It was just a terrible idea all around, but the hilarious part is how confidently Bill said it. He even built it up with "I've got the perfect idea to turn the Lakers season around...**drumroll**" :lol

This. It permeates every area of the Thunder organization and it is going to hold us back. Lil ole' OKC vs the big bad NBA!

:lol :lol :lol

Chris (Los Angeles)

Why is Madison Square Garden labeled "The Mecca Of Basketball"? Pretty high praise for a building that doesn't have many championship banners. If anything, you would think the old Boston Garden or Forum would be

John Hollinger

Pretty high praise as well for a building that's actually kind of a dump (Sorry, just the messenger folks). To me the mecca now is Staples. The games just feel more important there.

Knicks are so broken...

They'll go on a run and all that then get one dropped right on their heads at the end of it.

The Spurs have had that philosophy for years and it hasn't hurt them at all. In fact, it has helped them.
Whats helped them more than anything else is a damned good coach and one of the best to ever play the game...

Landry Fields gonna intangible this shit up!

... rookie wall. :(

EDIT: RUH ROH DOUGLAS.
The only rookie wall is
john-wall-dougie-o.gif

HORNACEK FOR 333333

Shawne Williams is the Knicks' best shooter. That says a lot. Send him to the 3 pt challenge.

Don't play Fields anymore, he's slumping like hell.

It's the NBA, every team goes on a run.
No such thing as a rookie wall
Yes there is, they start playing more games than in college and they lose effectiveness. Just because John Wall's whole Wizards season is the rookie wall don't hate.

I get the feeling sometimes dwight just wants to pick jameer up by the throat and crush him. Just the way he looks at him sometimes.

Gordon Hayward vs. Landry Fields finally back to being a rivalry if Hayward doesn't suck tonight.
I dunno... does Gordon Hayward have lots of INTANGIBLES???

Gallo wants to go over and cut someone. Did you see that look he gave Howard?
