the crowd was a letdown after the first quarter- I don't blame them, its tough to be rocking when your teams shitting the bed
They were still a damned good NBA crowd midway into the 3rd - even with blowout mode on. (They still lose points for the Scottie Pippen chant)

A lot of cities couldn't even hope to get Cleveland's defeated 3rd quarter crowd in the playoffs.

Peterboy won that round. Cant win em all.
I was hoping for a blowout. But Lebron didn't take the mic at half-court to tell off the fans and throw beer at Gilbert like I wanted.

Retire this man`s jersey.

Wince is right. Raptor fans never let up just because the team was down. They still rode him every time he touched the ball. I bet they still will this season, though it's not quite the same now that he's a 5th wheel on the Magic.

Cleveland needs to take lessons in action-oriented jiltedness from Truther Nation. Heck, they don't even have a these-people-are-crazy nickname yet.

Hm, why has Chicago played so many less games?

I noticed this a couple games ago. I was getting real anxious between games, and was wondering why the fuck the Jazz kept playing every night. Thought it was in my head.

They just got done playing a 7 game road trip, and they're on the road again on Friday night against the Celtics. They've arguably had the toughest schedule thus far.

When they played the Suns, they said they had the second hardest schedule so far behind Phoenix.

His numbers obviously will go down on a team that has two ball hogs like Wade and Lebron, but to dip this much something is not right.

Have you been following the Heat? Bosh "struggled" in the first few weeks of the season but since he exploded for 35 points that one night he's been doing very well. Around 20 points every game with 7 or more rebounds on average. His numbers aren't really dipping. And I believe he's shooting over 50% from the field on the season. Since he "found his place" I haven't seen anything wrong with Bosh's play at all. Sure I'd like to see more points in the paint, and more offensive rebounds, and I'd like to see Bosh get his fair share of that, but his play overall individually hasn't really stuttered.

He's managing to put up the numbers that literally every PF in the NBA would put up in that situation but with significantly worse passing and defense and a max contract, what a steal.

I didn't say anything about his contract. I'm saying he's not playing bad. He's shooting well. If you think he's overrated, so be it, but I would argue that he's not playing bad basketball. Like I said, there are areas I'd like to see him improve for sure, but he's not doing bad.

Dude, I wouldn't want LeBron on my team in his current form.

No way.

Now if he developed a killer instinct and a consistent jumper, I'd still take Durant over him, long-term.

I can't wait to see what fans say about Durant after his 7th season and he doesn't win a championship. He's good, but the love this guy gets compared to the hate Lebron gets is fucking crazy.

I'll admit that I thought the Cavs would have some semblance of fight and never expected them to fawn over and laydown for LeBron.

Having said that, the Q was still loud, well into the 3rd quarter and they were defiant until they realized their team was more interested in schmoozing with LeBron than competing.

Lastly, I was right--you were the only one silenced last night until your "hurr, hurr, hurr, I got ya" post once the coast was clear.

We were all here last night, posting away.

Well, at least now you don't have to "take crap from us" over this.

THANKS LEBRON.

Cavs get blown by 27. LeBron sits for most of the 4th.

Was this a prediction made before the game?:lol Maybe Spo or LBJ has been lurking on GAF.:lol
K.Jack understands defensive matchups. Anyone who gave the Cavs a chance was insanely shortsighted.

Dat spread coverage.

The Cavs are just so, so bad.

How can they play effective basketball when they can't shoot at all? And their best offensive options are still Mo Williams and washed-up Antawn Jamison? :lol

That first quarter, I thought they could sustain that counter-punch against the Heat...and then, they just kept clanking shots.

I can. The Cavs are terrible.
Being bad is one thing...

The best NBA crowd in years was ready to lend their powers for the ultimate spirit bomb. Instead, that team laid down almost immediately and couldn't wait to swallow LeCock.

Nobody ever asked Chao-Tzu to throw a spirit bomb!

OMG, the Heat are ahead of the Mavs and Jazz in the Hollinger rankings :lol ? What? :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol
They blew out some pretty good teams the past couple of days. The Wizards, Pistons and Cavs are not to be fucked with. Also, yesterday's game counts as three games because it was the most important game of the season. If you don't understand that you don't understand advanced $tats like thekad does.

I know that the Wizards, Pistons, and Cavaliers are quite elite and all that, but they lost to both the Mavs and the Jazz.
If your tiny mind can't comprehend the greatness that is the mind of Hollinger I really can't help you... the man is a modern-day genius. He's the only one who knows the Rockets will make the playoffs, and his prescience will soon be clear to all of you. Heat are going to win 66 games bitches. PEACE.

Only good thing about today's Hollinglol rankings: the Cavs are ranked below the Twolves! Still above the Wizards though :(

Fucking Arale has more heart than the Cavs did yesterday. Yes, I namedropped Arale off the top of my head.

But damn, watching Cleveland gave me a new appreciation for the Bobcats.

The Heat totally pulled a Celtics in the second half of the game against the Jazz. Weren't they winning by over 20 at half? I think it was 50something to 30something. Then they got raped in the second half. By all means, they truly lost that game. They could have won it, but they lost it.

The Jazz have done that to tons of teams since a lot of games have them only trying in the second half and the Heat lost in OT while Jefferson was on the bench after the worst game of his career and Deron was on the bench, fouled out.

Big match you up tonight!

Paul v Felton

Who's better?

Paul: 16 points -- 10 assists -- 4 rebounds -- 3 steals
Felton: 18 points -- 8 assists -- 4 rebounds -- 2 steals

You decide!

Hornets are el-garbage right now.

Knicks style should bring them life again though... I'll probably end up watching the game tonight though. Is it in NY or NO?

New Orleans. Weird thing is Knicks seem to play better on the road than at home. If Turiaf plays I'd feel better about the game.

New Orleans. So about 26 people will see it in person.

Man I hate reading Simmon's articles when he goes down on LeBron. Dude has it bad for the guy.

It's the opposite of people that hate him so much for no reason.

The Paul vs. Felton matchup isn't the one I'm concerned with at all...it's the Okafor vs. anything on the interior one that's a problem.

Even if he doesn't score all that much, he is going to make it very, very tough for all of the Knicks offense that's come in the paint recently to work well. I'm hoping Gallo and TD get their long-range touch consistent tonight, so that the Knicks can open the paint up more.

Okafor has never been able to deal with quicker PFs and his rebounding is wildly overrated. I wouldn't concern myself...
