Games of the night:

Tier I (must watch):

Clippers @ Nuggets -- Clippers games are appointment viewing IMO, and the Nuggets are a good team. DAT GRIFFIN.

Mavericks @ Jazz -- Tiebreaker to determine second-best in the West.

Tier 2 (should be good):

Bulls @ Celtics -- Potentially the best game of the night, but it could also be a major letdown if Boozer plays like he did in Orlando.

Nets @ Bobcats -- Nets games against non-elite teams are always awesome. Yeah... I don't know if this really belongs this high but fuck it.

Knicks @ Hornets -- Like DY_nasty said above, the Hornets have been playing badly enough that this turns into an interesting matchup.

Tier 3 (tune in if it's close):

Thunder @ Raptors -- Thunder have been playing exciting games this season against bad teams, especially with Durant out. Unfortunately the Raptors are almost Raptors-bad so I doubt it will be close.

Blazers @ Wizards -- Okay this game will probably suck but the Blazers have been so bad lately that there might be BUCKHANTZ.

Rockets @ Grizzlies -- Battle of the Lakers killers: Yao vs. Gasol! Wait who the fuck is Scola

Pacers @ Suns -- This matchup looks better on paper than it will in reality I think, but if it's close after three things could get really interesting. Hibbert is turning into a beast.

Tier 4 (for fans of the teams only):
Sixers @ Hawks -- Two of the most boring teams to watch in the NBA. The only way this matchup could be made less interesting would be if you replaced the Sixers with the Pistons.

Pistons @ Magic -- Speaking of which.

Timberwolves @ Spurs -- Love and Beasley are still putting up $tats but the Spurs should be leading by 20 at the half.

Lakers @ Kings -- Not even a four game losing streak by the Lakers can make this game remotely interesting.
Quoted for the new page.

I think I'd put the DLeague game Jonny Flynn will play in tonight in the tier above Wolves/Spurs.
Nah, I know there are some people here who want to catch every glorious minute of Manu's '10-'11 MVP campaign.

Not gonna lie, I stopped studying for a final so I could watch Griffin. I knew he would be good, but not electrifyingly angry. Dude dunks with a purpose, not like Dwight who sometimes smiles after that shit.

And since when are Rockets tier 3? They should be tier 2 at least all the time. We beat the Lakers. THE LAKERS.

And Scola best import since David Beckham?

Ewing theory. Durant for Gortat + Bass, straight up.
Some Daily Thunder posters were floating Durant for Blake Griffin rumors... In jest obviously, but still. He'll get back to being himself, he played like hot garbage last November too.

And why the hell would we trade for Blake when he'll be here in 2014 anyway?

P.S. I remember the days during 2009 free agency that I was dying for Gortat to play in OKC, and Daryl Morey showed up on his doorstep at midnight on July 1st... :lol

Thats what Orlando and Boston thought.
Relax, dude. I'm actually a bit worried about this one, and I think it will probably come down to the wire like all of our other games.

I was just referring to the fact that we're 3-0 without KD.

damn with all this griffin beasting i feel robbed when i went to watch him live since he barely got to play due to foul trouble when the clippers came to golden state =(

Hollinger has an article up about the Jazz's awesome D and bench. He gives a bit too much credit to Sloan though. Sloan's been amazing in getting the team to play hard and with his rotations and stuff, but I think praise needs to be given to KO'C and the individual players such as Elson and Price as well.

Give the Wheelchair Rockets some credit. Almost all of their games go down to the wire, only to lose in heartbreaking fashion.

In my most wonderful, visceral, and realistic dreams.

When I dream about Blake Griffin playing in OKC, it's some Inception-level shit.
OKC cats always trying to steal shit from other cities...

The Jacket Lebron wore to the game last night in Cleveland.

I meant to ask you before, but why didn't Adelman put Scola in for the 4th quarter of the Bobcats game? He basically gave the game away as much as a coach is able.

I have no idea. Adelman has tanked at least 4 games this year with that same shit. Doesn't want to call timeouts; doesn't want to sub in the starters.

Really, does anyone on this list deserve to be voted to the all-star game ahead of Tyson Chandler?

Depends on when Cuban cuts that check.

At least my BG "delusions" have some plausibility. 1) He plays for the Clips, the most cursed franchise in all of sports, and 2) he's from OKC. Also, our current starting PF is Jeff Green.

Dear god having Westbrook, KD and Blake on the same squad would be incredibly scary. Even scarier is that it almost actually happened.

How are Matt Carroll and Eduardo Najera doing? I haven't checked up on them yet this year.
Larry Brown is making Matt Carroll pay for his bad defense by making him guard Dwayne Wade and having him to drive to rim instead of spotting up.

Najera is bringing in the Hispanic community by showing off his great suit collection. (He's actually played well for the brief moments that he's been on the court)

Sounds like a homeless man's Mike Miller.

Najera is the king of flagrant fouls. They should use him if they ever need one.

Wow, the cleverness of your puns knows no end. :P

And for the record, James Harden isn't as bad as he's made out to be, I really think the team is having trouble adjusting to Westbrook's newfound Super Saiyan status.

If he doesn't "figure it out" by next year, ship his ass out.

Thunder should trade him. I think he can be good, just not there in that shitty role they have him in. He is more than just a shitty spot up shooter. He is a scorer that can create for others.

Johnson underwent arthroscopic surgery Thursday on his elbow in a 25-minute procedure performed by orthopedist Dr. James Andrews at a clinic in Pensacola, Fla. Hawks spokesman Arthur Triche says the "surgery went fine."

The four-time All-Star is expected to be out four to six weeks.
The fuck? How did I miss this?

Somebody said that I don't care about the Hawks. I reiterated that I'm not a Hawks fan.

If I were a Hawks fan, I wouldn't care about the Hawks.

Maybe it was too nuanced for you.

I really like this post. If this could be a tradition or something, I'd love it. Great way to start a night of basketball. <3 Sharp.

I eagerly await the day that Popovich returns balance to the force league.

And honestly, Spurs lifelongs are the best lifelongs.
