The New Orleans Times-Picayune, after ESPN.com's initial report about the possibility of the Hornets becoming the first franchise owned and operated by the league, quoted sources on its website Friday night saying that Chouest no longer thinks he can devote the time needed to run an NBA team as well as his private business.

This wasn't a Jazz fans case. Maybe half the fouls called in this game against the Clippers were legit fouls. Some were charges that turned into blocking fouls, which is understandable, but a fair number actually had no contact at all--Melo or Nene would just throw the ball up in the air and get the foul. This happened multiple times. At one point a player tripped on the Nuggets tripped and a Clipper got called for the foul, even though their bodies had a food and a half of space between them. To make things even more absurd, the Nuggets had a ton of hard contact that never got called, including one really egregious bit of thuggery that even the (incredibly homerish) announcers eventually admitted was a foul (after having a commercial break to think about it). Normally I'd be fine with most of that--a ton of fouls make games unwatchable--but only when that style of refereeing applies to both teams. This was, simply put, the worst-officiated game of the year, and the Clippers still barely lost. With objective refereeing, the Clippers would have won in a close contest... they outdid the Nuggets in every statistical category but three point shooting (they sucked at defending the three) and FTs.

Fans boo every fucking call, even the blatant ones on Utar.

I'll give Haywood credit for playing solid defense with Chandler in foul trouble.

Actually, everyone is playing great defense right now.
 
wtf happened when i was watching it was tied i think with the mavs, now they leading by double digits..?
any how the lakers bench out playing the kings, its a 33 point lead, caracter ebanks and brown playing realy good.
i have a good feeling about the play offs with a bench like this but we have to play better defence, we sucked the last 4 games.
and kobe only playing 25 min =D

Was hoping for a 40 point blowout. Both Kings and Lakers disappointed me.
 
Time to go home. Jazz were embarassingly lifeless tonight and didn't deserve to win. The team looks like they just want to go home and sleep.

Reminds me of the Spurs game, after that we won those 7 games so hopefully its the same situation.
