Not a good performance by the Raps today at all. Except for Amir/Bayless the team flat out was terrible. But credit to the New York they have a solid team and they deserved the W. Knicks-Age may have lost out on Bron and Co. but they may have the last laugh.

BTW, 21 games in, Amare is having close to a career year. 25/9, 2.5 ast, 2 blks, 1 stl... He's back to his 2008 form. He's an All NBA 1st teamer this year.
It's almost like he's playing for a coach whose style inflates his stats again.

The Hawks aren't exactly the best representative team, but I was surprised at how well Bosh did against Horford, I'll say that much. Everyone pretty much expected them to win these last four games though (except the crazies who thought they would lose in Cleveland) and they don't have any more tough games until like Wednesday or Thursday.

Overlooking the Bucks, I see.

Call it right now. Bucks beat the Heat at the Bradley Center monday night, as long as Bogut doesn't have one of his migraines to cause him to sit out at the last moment.

Marc Stein addendum:
But the NBA is expected to make the strength of prospective ownership bids its highest priority -- and there are no guarantees that an incoming buyer would want to stay in one of the league's smallest markets. Stern is generally averse to franchise moves, but sources say Seattle, Kansas City and Anaheim are among the available markets of greatest interest to various league officials; Las Vegas has apparently slipped in the pecking order largely as a result of the recent economic downturn.
Seattle needs to happen so bad. They have a prospective owner in Ballmer, who apparently has been in regular contact with Stern since his failed bid to buy the Sonics. And remember that as part of his pitch to buy the Sonics would have personally funded Key Arena renovations.

I'm not overlooking the Bucks. They play right into the Miami's system. It will be a relatively close game IMO but the Heat should win.

I just stopped in looking to see what the trolling would be about the Knicks after destroying the Raps this afternoon. What was the excuse for the Knicks win today? I haven't read through the thread yet to find out what it was.

LOL RAPS.

Raps were all bleary-eyed & shuffling their feet during the intros. Sometimes White Vegas eats its own.

And now has enough cash on hand to bulid an arena on the moon if he wants

Anaheim isnt LA. Contrary to what the Angels would like you to believe.
No, but it's still stupid to have three teams so close together. Especially when two of them will always be overshadowed.

Greater LA area has over 17 million people. Why would it be stupid if all the franchises would be profitable?

Would any of those 3 even be considered? They want to keep them there I bet.
There's really not a ton of hope of anybody keeping the team in New Orleans. Their attendance has sucked for years, they couldn't sell out playoff games, Shinn has been hemorrhaging money since the move.

If the best offer is, say, from some gentleman in Seattle, the NBA isn't going to turn him away.

Why not move 5 teams in?

Why not then just have 2 leagues, the CBA and everyonebutcaliBA.

Because it's meant to be a national sport. Because you want to grow the product across the whole nation.

Because you get more money from having a diverse audience from sponsors and tv rights.

Seattle Timber Sonics does sound good...

Make it happen, Cuban.

So you'd run out a startng line up of kidd, stevenson, igoudala, dirk, chandler?

tbh, i don't even know if you guys have expirings to give them back?

Cavs trading for Iggy would be dumb.

He needs to go to the Mavs.

Butler is expiring.

With Roddy back it would be Kidd, Roddy, Iggy, Dirk, Chandler.

Eh, i don't even know that that's better than your current roster. And if Dirk gets into foul trouble ,you roll out marion at the 4, you have no real shooting except for terry who.. well we can just read your posts about that.

Iggys great, but he'd be a lot better if you kept buttler for spacing.

I don't see spacing as a big problem with Dirk, Terry, and Roddy on this team. Iggy is decent enough at three-pointers that teams will have to stay honest.

A wing player who can penetrate and pass has always been something we're missing and Iggy would fill that void. Between Iggy, Roddy, and Chandler we could have decent inside scoring for the first time in forever.

Isn't Roddy sort of average @ shooting? isn't his main thing penetration?

/me shrug

Your teams biggest hurdle isn't a lack of talent, it's retarded coaching and lineups.

I don't care how much talent you put around them, if J.Kidd and Barea are your back court for more than 2 minutes a game, you're in trouble. And carlisle is giving that back court 20minutes a game.

AI 2.0 would actually be pretty good on the cavs. With all those shooters on the cavs to dish out to, it would be like having a mini Lebron back on the team sorta...and c'mon! their starting SF is Joey Graham!

Roddy shot over 40% on threes last year. He scores most of his points on the perimeter or at the rim, his main weakness is long two-pointers.

Hopefully when Roddy is healthy Barea won't get regular minutes. Carlisle deserves to be fired if he does.

Our main weakness is we don't have any reliable scorers besides Dirk.

I just wanted to add, i haven't seen a coach shit the bed more than carlisle during that spurs series. I still can't believe he fucked that up (worked out well for us).

His rotations during that series were unbelievably awful.

The main reason we're playing better this year, other than Chandler, is because his rotations have been somewhat more consistent and logical. Though he still puts out the occasional bonehead lineups.

Why not move the Hornets to San Diego?
Don't laugh.

We're the only major metro not to have a basketball team. Give us another chance! We do have pro football and pro baseball teams that are healthy.

Because a team will fail in San Diego.

The reason I think Anaheim gets mentioned is because they already have a fairly serviceable arena in place in the Honda Center. Getting a new arena built, particularly in California, is going to be a bitch.

I'm probably late on this but who cares

Still, you can't blame LeBron for the Cavaliers' not rising to his challenge. He played some of the best basketball of his career, scoring 36 points in a devastating 27-minute stretch that re-established Miami as a contender.

THAT game re-established Miami as a contender? Really?

Really?

The greater New York area has 3 football teams. its not like its totally out of the question.

Anaheim always gets excited when the Lakers play their pre season games out there

I kinda agree.

The Cavs suck right now but primarily because they didn't really get anything for Lebron. They're basically just left with a giant sink hole in their offense. Iggy might do well but I think they need a player who can average at least 20 points a game. Not sure if Iggy is capable of that.

But this is also why the Nuggets should move Melo before the trade deadline, otherwise they'll end up like the Cavs. A giant sink hole in the offense and with little options to fill it.

Because cameo jeresys aren't happening in the NBA..

Well Seattle is just going to have to live with Michael Beasley dropping 30 on the Hornets in their house twice a year.

I just fear the 30/30 Love train.. he is going to go nuts if Seattle gets a team to make me eat all the bullshit I talked about him when he was drafted..

It would be funny if the Cavs got Iggy and put him in 23.. and gave him a headband..
