Blazers gonna lose this with typical 2nd half collapse.

A spot up shooter who's much much on defense and in transition isn't great to have a first option? He would be an awesome fifth option though, fucking Blazers.

Gordon and Griffin getting some Westbrook and Durant treatment tonight. Can't stare at them funny or they go to the line. They got 32FTA between them.

yes, because Donnie has done such a shitty job as GM.

How has his WHOLE tenure been. Not just the .500 team he's got on the floor at the moment.

Oh, yeah, mediocre at best.

I'm sure Donnies got a Plan for him too though.

I have every right to complain after what happened two nights ago.
And now you got the exact same treatment the Nuggets got. 43FTA tonight for the Clippers.

Patrick Mills on fire again today. 6th man of the year.
Best Portland backup PG in a decade.

I'm gonna go cry now and wait until the league scouts him properly and he goes MIA.

Don't worry, man. Once CP3 becomes a free agent, he'll sign with the Knicks and they'll have a big 3. Then CP3's and Amar'e have their knees explode like every doctor in the world would predict and the Knicks become the 2010-2011 Blazers. Should sign Al Jefferson the offseason after they get Paul so the Jazz aren't dumb enough to resign Al.

Oh great, another four game roadtrip and back-to-back coming up for Portland on Friday. That's the fourth four-game roadtrip so far this season. Wooh.

I'd kill for him to be backing up Curry instead of Charlie Bell masquerading as a point guard and Jeremy Lin masquerading as an NBA player.

He's no good at the moment. I've not seen someone get their shot blocked so consistently since Clarence Weatherspoon

that's two terrible posts in a row by you. why did you have to remind me of weatherspoon :(

I just noticed Blake Griffin was a +1 while Eric Gordon was a -21. They played 40 and 42 minutes, respectively, and surely most of their minutes overlapped...so how the hell did that discrepancy happen? I know, one game, but still.

Aw, leave the guy alone. It's not every day you beat the Raptors in Toronto*, he's on top of the world. And who wouldn't be?

*If you're the Knicks in the current century

rewatching Conan The Destroyer right now and it just hit me that Wilt Chamberlain plays a royal guard who's job it is to protect a girl's virginity. that's like hiring Michael Vick to walk your dogs.

Wilt's acting in that movie made Arnold look like Tom Hanks.

:lol :lol :lol

Fun fact: Wilt kept up with Arnold while training for the movie. That's just insane.

Alright! Blazers beat the Clippers.

What a fall from grace
Was the game actually that bad? I didn't catch it, but it sure doesn't seem like the refs respect the Clippers at all most of the time. I'd be inclined to suspect it was just Blazers fans bitching though. There's a substantial difference between 43 and 59 FTs. Also, I would surmise that the reason Blake was fouled so much is because he sucks at FT shooting, not because the refs were calling nonexistent fouls. I have no doubt that if he hadn't been fouled all those times he would have a lot more points.

This is probably worthy of a nomination for GAF post of the year.

I wonder if Kareem is one of those guys that managed to get his 72 virgins while alive?

Yeah as much I love Toney we should look for a real back up pg. You can play small combo guards if you have other wings that can handle the ball, but our team is all finishers and spot up shooters we need a real pg on the floor at all times. I want telfair (walker should be enuff right?) but most Knick fans don't want anything to do with him because he's related to he who shall not be named...

Really? You sure it's not just because he sucks?

No idea, the gameflows only show Gordon out there alone for a 9-1 run by the Blazers plus Griffin alone during a 5-0 for the Clips, that's still only 13:

EDIT: Oh, Griffin is -15, +3, -3, +13, +3 in his five stints which is +1.
While Gordon is: -15, -12, +10, +0, -4 in his five which is -21.

+/- sucks as a stat but things like this make me wonder why people really believe he's so horrible on defense. Watching the games, he sticks to his man well and has pretty good handles for a big so he doesn't turn over the ball much. He also scrambles to get into position well and is pretty good at boxing out. Just because he doesn't get a lot of blocks doesn't mean he's bad at D.

Fuck Sebastian Telfair.
I'd rather get Jason Williams on the cheap. You know not only can he distribute/move the ball well, he'll be free to snipe from three and stretch the court/create space for slashing forwards all day - and will have virtually unlimited freedom to do so effectively in D'antoni's offense.

It would also be nice to liberate one of Minny's 9 PGs, but no fraternizing with them until after we beat their brains in tonight. Kevin Love hung 30/30 on us last time; we must be avenged!

Looks like it's Crash and Jaxx that's shitting on DJ. Larry Brown's defending him...

The team won't go anywhere if the two leading scorers don't have faith in their point guard.
They're just doing it because they're buying into Larry's bullshit thats been going on all-season long and because they need to point fingers. LB: "Cmon guys.... cmon :(" - they got the shit from him. But when Wallace goes 5-14 thats DJ's fault? Wben Sonny Weems goes beast-mode, that's on DJ. JAX's defense has been worse than DJ's and Crash is all about $tats now. They've both costed the team way more games than DJ with their ball-stopping bullshit.

Alas, this game will be remembered much more for the illegal plays than the legal ones. League discipline czar Stu Jackson is likely to have a very busy Monday morning that could see him suspend as many as three players following a heated second half.
Wtf Hollinger? He's talking about that the NBA might reign down upon the POR vs LAC game and suspend players? The fuck? For what?

Although this is downright hilarious:
"There wasn't [a] foul called," said Miller. "I got my opportunity to get a lick in."
:lol

No wonder Hollinger sticks to writing about statistics. He's utterly terrible at writing about anything else.
