Well deserved hit, well deserved suspension. Apparently Miller didn't like some shoves Blake gave him to his back a possession prior.
Bargnani: 1 rebound in the first quarter.LiveFromKyoto said:This Raptor game is on pace to end 124-72. Just throw Davis out there for the next 36 minutes already.
Griffin was cheap shotting him on rebounds and shoving him in the back. Not surprised Andre lost it, especially how testy the game was at the end of the third quarter. I'd have done the same thing, because I hate when people shove me in the back when I'm trying to rebound. It's how you lose your balance and tweak something. On that first screenshot, Blake had his arms full out into his upper back as they were trying to go up for a rebound.Blackace said:Well deserved? lawl...
That is one of those I can't do anything against you in the game so I am going to be a cheap bitch fouls..
I have done that before lol and know how they feel after you lose it..

Not saying it was excusable, but at the same time it had some warrant to it. Don't think I've ever seen or read about Andre losing it in a game, at least the years I've watched him.

Did you really just go that far out of your way to ignore the game where DJ actually got minutes and shit all over Rose? :lolreilo said:

Because the Garden sucks? I have yet to meet anyone that has been to Madison Square Garden and say it was a good venue. The people that seem to like it, talk about it like those people do on HGTV looking to buy an old property they'd renovate. Using words like "charming" and "cozy" as they discuss the mold and asbestos on the ceiling while fireants are crawling over their face.Sharp said:Why are the Knicks so much better on the road?

There was zero reason why Blake had his arms fully stretched out on Andre's back pushing him away. I don't care what the height difference was, if the ball is going up, your hands should be up. Not down on somebody's neck. Like I said, Andre's shot was a cheapshot, but Blake wasn't exactly an angel playing clean basketball and the shot had some merit to it.Blackace said:At his height and weight I am sure Miller felt like it was a "cheap shot" as he told the media.. but the fact is it is more of a I couldn't get a rebound and I blame Blake so I am going to rage out..
There wasn't anything that warranted the action.. nothing. I know you want to defend your player, who isn't a troublemaker in any sense.. but that was a bitch move. Again, I have been there.. and have done things just like it.. you lose it sometimes when you have game but become useless...

I've also complained that the Cook flagrant was at best a Flagrant I and didn't deserve a suspension.
It's still dirty contact on Blake and a shove into Andre's back. Why is that such a controversial opinion and why is that deemed "ok" all of a sudden when hand-checking and reach-in on the perimeter aren't? It's the same type of shit Bruce Bowen used to do by sticking his foot out on shooters or Kobe swinging his elbow into Bell.Blackace said:No merit.. players use their arms in the trenches all the time.. his hands were on his back like all players down there.. just stop
Blocking shots.Sharp said:What is D'antoni's plan for interior defense?
Well, that makes sense. It is the best measure of defense after all, except for steals.reilo said:Blocking shots.
Come on, dude. If you watch the players when they scramble for rebounds there are moments like this in every single game.reilo said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLAPJiETLCE
Video of Blake pushing Andre a couple of times throughout the game and just before the takedown.

I think Kahn is still pissed that McHale traded OJ Mayo for Jefferson. Can you imagine if he had another tweener guard?Rodeo Clown said:He's pretty amazing most nights. The team made the right choice in the Love/Jefferson death match.
I've already said that Cook shouldn't have been suspended and should have gotten a Flagrant I at most, so Andre getting a 1 game suspension is right in line with my opinions. Although with the way the NBA has been handing out techs and suspensions like a child molester hands out candy, I'm actually surprised he didn't get more.giri said:The big difference was, he was down in the paint, where contact is expected, your 2 other examples are dirty wing players getting cheap shots in, in situations where contact shouldn't be expected.
Was blakes contact excessive? probably. Blind sided or Cheap? maybe a little cheap, but certainly not a massive blind side.
Millers was all Cheap blind sided rage. Bell got one play off game, for something that was less cheap/ or at worst just as. Thats worth atleast 2 or 3 regular season games.
Hell, shaq got one week cause someone jumped into him, bounced off and landed hard.

The only tweeners the brain trust likes are 3s that can play spot minutes at the 2.reilo said:I think Kahn is still pissed that McHale traded OJ Mayo for Jefferson. Can you imagine if he had another tweener guard?
If it happens once, sure? After two, three or more times in the same game against the same player? That's not unintentional at that point, that's just a player pushing off to get an advantage because he can. If the refs had called that a loose ball foul like they should have, then Dre wouldn't have felt the need to do that. But then again, they also missed Dre's cheapshot, so it's no wonder.rc213 said:WTF How can you even consider putting the Blake shoves in the same realm as Bowen or Kobe elbow? Those shoves happen every game, Dozens of times depending if the refs aren't calling a game tight.
Andre just got butthurt and tackled him.
Dre's just butthurt. That kind of thing happens all the time...reilo said:If it happens once, sure? After two, three or more times in the same game against the same player?
