Ok Ron Ron and Fish. You're starters, so start playing like it.

The Lakers second team just looks hungrier (and more youthful). Offensively, if I were a pg I'd go at D Fish every time. Sure, in a series he can adjust like a mother...but he's a poor defensive Pg against most.

i love fisher and all but sometimes i wonder how an Organization like the lakers still dont have somebody in place to take over dericks role.

It would be interesting to see Sasha in a situation where he gets a fair chance to make mistakes on a young team, but his play right now is not anything to jump at just yet. He's starting to play better during a contract year...which is to be expected. He's just finally getting the minutes to do what he's supposed to be doing.

He iced those free throws for LA last year though...which a lot of players would have missed, and he was a good teammate and fun figure in LA for some time so I'll always respect him for that. I hope he can reach his ceiling...which is probably JJ Redick. Doubt it happens but we'll see what the future holds.

Wait, you root for 2 teams?

Pau was this close to blowing out his knee there. Wow

ps: I'm really happy for Sasha. He is a decent player when given minutes
in his contract years lol

Phil's last year as coach...I expect this year to be the last one Fisher starts. Sure, having Blake come off the bench is a good change of pace but I don't think the Lakers should be getting off to these slow starts.

Love me some Fish, but him and Ron on the court to start the game puts the Lakers at too big a speed disadvantage IMHO.

Obviously, but the point still stands that any optimism around the Wolves, specifically Rambis, is completely misplaced.

It's hilarious that people are making 08-09 Thunder comparisons. "They turned the corner in the second half of the season and we can, too!" After they fired their coach, sporto. Well, Rambis is going to get fired, so half of that equation is right...
It's possible they could turn it around and get to near-respectability, but they're gonna have to do it by outscoring people.

Hard to win consistently if you don't play any defense, and it's even harder if you don't have good defensive players in the first place.

I love the Lakers bench. Killer Bs indeed.

Bynum, Barnes, Brown and Blake.

Play with Odom or Pau....very good bench rotation. Heck, even Luke looks better.

:lol Memphis doesn't have home TV for tonights game.

And there´s nobody in the arena.

Which made me question during the game: what the hell is the NBA doing in Memphis? Supportwise they are way worse than the Hornets.

Cousins isn't sucking. He struggles with fouls like all rookie bigs and thats even harder to hide from at center, but his play has gotten steadily better and he retook the starting job from Dalembert. He is already better defensively than he was at the start of the season and its pretty obvious that it will be hard for most of the league to guard him without a double team. He learns how to slow down on offense and he'll be able to pick teams apart.

My point was more that these fools are overlooking that the Wolves don't have anybody as good as Westbrook or Durant. That turnaround they're waiting for ain't coming with this current group. I mean, Martell Webster is our 3rd best player, and he's shooting great right now, but there's real reason to doubt he keeps up this shooting.

Does anyone know the NBA analysis site that breaks down the result of the games using four factors: shooting, turnovers, rebounding, and free throws?

Sharp may have overrated Sharp.
Originally I was just jokingly supporting the Sixers to troll the Knicks (who I never make the mistake of overrating, unlike half of NBA-Age) but they've actually looked better lately until tonight. And the absence of Noah hurt massively against the Clippers, it was quite reasonable to expect this to be a competitive game.

He's still not being aggressive enough. Only in short spurts.

He needs to stop facing up and back his defenders down more. You would think he has enough strength to do so.

Looking at it again, wow... a 45 point blowout. I don't think any other teams have even won by 40 so far this year. That is some epic domination.

Tyreke still making unbelievably retarded decisions on D and his offense is nowhere to be found tonight.

Sit him down. Please. Let the guy recover already.

The Wolves lost by 42 at Orlando, thank you. Rambis for president.
