OMG you think the Knicks won't make the playoffs? And the Knicks could beat the Bulls in the first round.

A lot of teams could beat a lot of other teams on any given day but the Knicks beating the Bulls in a series when Noah will be back and at 100%???

I don't know.

The Knicks won fair and square the other day but I was more disappointed with the Bulls' effort in the first half than being impressed by the Knicks.

I guess I just don't like the Knicks' style shooting all those threes and their offensive scheme.

They do play good defense at times.

I already assumed they would for your argument.

And the Knicks could beat the Bulls in the first round.

Because they beat them in the regular season?

I forgot:

Regular season = Playoffs

Also, if we assume that Miami, Orlando and Boston will be the top seeds, you are saying the Knicks will be a 4 or 5 to play the Bulls in the first round?

Ok...

If you want to be a dick about it, you could say that the first win that NY had over the Bulls was when they shot an anomaly of a 3pt% while Rose didn't even return the game in the 4th when the game was still very much winnable and that NY's second win over the Bulls was when their second best player was out.

If you want to be a dick...

American basketball is funny.
You're good.

Despite Boston and San Antonio both losing this week, they're easily the best two teams in the NBA right now.

I said could beat the Bulls. I didn't say it's 100% guaranteed or anything. And yes I'm assuming that the Bulls and the Knicks will be in the 4/5 spot in the playoffs.

Boston is the only legit team to me right now. San Antonio's schedule hasn't been Laker or Knicks easy, but still pretty weak.

It doesn't matter what your schedule is if you have the record the Spurs have, with those players, and that coach then you are legit.

Dallas and Atlanta fans would tell you to eat a dick...

I won't though. :D

That same team got swept by the Suns in the playoffs after beating the team with the worst of all possible head coaches.

They don't have a legit big man besides Duncan, and he's getting older. They're just not as complete a team from top to bottom like the Celtics.

I have seen many so many teams gift the Spurs wins at the end of the game. IMO Dallas is legit but they aren't. You'll understand when the pathetic Lakers beat the shit outta them on Tuesday...

I see it as
Boston>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dallas, San Antonio>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Miami, Lakers,>>>Everyone else

Boston is the only team whose record translates to postseason success right now. Which means just about anybody except Dallas could make it far I guess, but I don't see any of them beating Boston unless they really improve or Boston has injury problems.

What does legit mean to you? Because obviously we have two different understandings of the word. Hell I think the Mavs, the Heat with a truly well playing Mike Miller, and the Lakers are legit too.

Possibly the dumbest post I've read all day and I just got done from reading the Knicks RealGM board

This is like Rodeo's Bat-signal unless you're just talking playoff teams.

And just looking at the Orlando game yesterday, seems weird that Boston lost that game.

The Lakers are the only one of those teams with even the potential to become legit right now. They at least have real centers, a good coach, and more than one all-star player. Miami can't beat Boston in a 7-game series and the Mavs' role players and coach shrivel in the playoffs.

The Jazz's only losses (Not counting the flu infected game against the Hornets) have come when their frontcourt tired in major games. With Okur coming back, that problem won't happen. Jazz will get to the WCF at least this year (Without major injury which, unfortunately, there's a major chance of).

First off, not even trolling, Mike Miller hasn't been relevant in years. Years.

Back to everything else... Lakers as Hawks-West at the moment. All this turn it around, team meeting bullshit is gonna get em hyped and they'll roll again for a while but they haven't played exceptionally well for a complete game this entire month really. Miami is Miami. They'll overpower a team faster than anyone, but the second shit seems difficult they go retarded and start flinging themselves into the lane looking for Chrimbus miracles from Stern to bail them out.

Unfortunately, that strategy seems to work even in the loudest opposing arenas in the NBA :(

How would the Spurs do if they lost one of their starters?

They could replace Blair and Jefferson pretty well.

Uh, you do realize Rondo didn't play, right?
Orlando was getting smacked all game long then they got 3 big (and fucking dumb) shots to go in. Got some space, caught some breaks... but Orlando shouldn't be happy at all about that game other than the W.

If Miller is able to score about 8 points a game, 4 rebounds, and 3 assist a game after the allstar break the Heat will be alot better team. And even if that happened I'll still think the Czzz are a better team. But at this point who knows if Rondo's ankle will hold up.

Loud isn't going to play defense for the team thats playing.

Cleveland, NYK, LA - they all had some noise, they all got done in because they just spread their legs on the defensive end of the court.

The thing is, Miami's defense isn't really all that good - but they capitalize off of mistakes better than any other team that I've ever seen. Will they force a team into taking a bad shot? Rarely. But they'll fucking punish you for 3 straight bad possessions...

Umm, no. I'm just saying that they get ref points no matter the crowd or team (Except for the Knicks) so their strategy of getting bailed out by the refs could work throughout the playoffs.

Rondo? I'd be a lot more concerned about Wade and his TMac endorsed tampons.

So basically, if Mike Miller comes in and becomes James Jones, the Heat get better?

Have you ever seen Mike Miller play well for a winning team before? When was the last time that happened? Hell, he played decent minutes for the first time this season - playing poorly would've been expected, but most people didn't even realize he was on the court. But don't be surprised, thats how he's been playing for the last 3 years. He's in prime form. Like a whiter Wally Szczerbiak.

It rarely does for an entire series.

Lebron has a parade every April, but it doesn't ever amount to shit. Like I said early, I'd be concerned about Wade, but he's just a bigger Barbosa because of the Lebron effect...

Actually Miami's defense is one of the best in the league. Teams don't shoot poorly against them because they are afraid of Lebron's hairline.

No a well playing Mike Miller would be alot better than today's James Jones. Mike Miller can score without just catching and shooting like Jones. The second you cover Jones his offense shuts down.

But at the end of the day I don't expect Mike Miller to play as well as I want him to.

Eh, playoffs do strange things to people. I still think that Wade is the most unshakable of the three.

How many times has LBJ come up small over the course of a series? You know this.

True, but you can't have LeIso being run all season long then suddenly switch to God Mode Wade. It hasn't even worked in the regular season either. Not once so far.

Wade hasn't been himself at all this year. Lebron's thrown him off completely and its not like they can bring Wade off the bench like Ginobli or Terry.

I really should look into it one day, outside of the few guys drafted by Cleveland, I don't think anyone gets better by playing next to Lebron.

Wade was injured at the beginning of the year. And to be honest he's not having a bad year either. I think he's doing well actually.

Heat will win the East.

Lebron nuthuggers like ryutaro and reilo will cry :lol

How are they going to win 4 games against the Bostons and Chicagos, etc... when they have won only 6 times against teams with winning records(one game or more over .500)???

Yes, I know he's a "troll" but I wanted to remind him that the Heat have only a few significant wins and one over a team playing as poorly as they ever have in team history.

Wes says he would have taken 4 and 16 if KO'C had offered it, FUUUU. I know he's lying somewhat, but still, KO'C gets his GMotY card revoked! Why was he so dumb that he wouldn't offer 4 and 16 to Wes in a year where free agency started with Drew freaking Gooden getting 5 and 34. ARGH. Hadsfsdfwer

Wade isn't anywhere close to the MVP caliber player he used to be just a year ago. Don't kid yourself...

Let's see, I know it's just the regular season but please follow along...

The Bulls were one possession away from beating the Celtics without Boozer at Boston.

The Heat lost to the Celtics and weren't that close despite the scores of the games.

If you think the Bulls can't beat the Heat with actual inside scoring, a better bench and actual coaching, then you're likely a Heat fan.

Not to mention having to deal with Rose.

I fear the Celtics and them alone in the East though there are a few teams that concern me.

Based on what, his numbers? Of course his numbers are gonna slightly dip, as have lebrons, its not because they're getting worse, instead, its because they have to share shots, etc. What are you basing that off of? Hes looked really, really good lately
