hey, how long have you been posting in this thread?

we were talking about it earlier today for the ROTY award
I didn't really start posting during the regular season until this year. I think I drive-by posted a few times the last two years though.

Missed all of the games, but glad Miami got the win.

Not glad that they let NY back into late in the game, it has happened way too often this season thus far.

And big ups to Hill for standing up to Kobe, Spurs didn't flinch for a second.

in that case youre a rook

wow

nba-age dont go easy on him cause hes a wiz fan. we can't let rooks get off easy

Damn NBA-Age... when did it become acceptable to troll Wall like y'all are DY? He's still recovering from an injury ffs. I respect him for actually playing against the Spurs even if he didn't do shit in that game. Don't be mad when he drops a triple double on your ass.

Points/Turnovers/Dougies isn't impressing anyone. He should worry about starting over Kurt Hinrich.

This question is kind of relevant, how does the AP work? I was reading the AP written recap on the Spurs-Lakers game that was originally on ESPN and now it is a combination of an ESPN writer and the original AP piece. Once the AP releases a piece it is essentially freegame for journalists to edit in their own writing as long as whatever is written by the AP is not changed?

It became acceptable the moment he got selected as the number 1 over all pick, and people defended him.

If your ass aint on the court no one gives a flying fuck how great your talent is. See Bynum, Oden ,*. Get your shit sorted and get on the court.

There is just no effort by this crew. Other teans are playing like they want to win. I know i keep saying its jist the regular season but I never imagined the Lakers would consistently get blown out and not show any effort. Spurs, Mavericks, Celtics all have a better shot.

LOL

If Charlotte beats the Cavs and DJ goes ham again, I'm naming my first child Paul Silas.

Doesn't matter if its a boy or girl.

Look on the bright side... with the way that the Lakers are playing now, its impossible for them to get exposed by the Bobcats again.

:lol :lol When the Lakers lose its because they don't care!

When they get blown out consistently like they have been? Yes. They're not focused and basically just going through the motions. Even Kobe said as much. There is no rhyme or reason that the same team that started out so hot is now getting blown out by the overrated teams they have been (excluding the Spurs).

:lol Well there is always that.

Yup man. I'm gonna start researching the top junior high kids in the nation in preparation of the post Kobe Lakers.

Reading that just made me realize I am not mentally prepared for when Kobe is gone. Looks like im going to have to start that meth habit back up again.

Lakers had one of the easiest schedules in the league early. Now that they're playing real teams like the Heat of course they're getting exposed and blown out.

Fixed.

BTW Kad, I'm happy you have found a team to bandwaggon on with the Rockets being done and all.

I'm not bandwagoning the Heat. I just like smooth, pretty, exciting basketball. It's why I find it so hard to watch Kobe.

Rockets done? They're in the playoffs.

The Lakers are going to set a record for Super Bowls lost in a season.

If it's any consolation, a healthy Celtics team got blown out by the Wizards, at home, with a week left in the season this spring. There's still a chance that the Lakers have gone into full "I don't give a shit" mode a la last year's Cs after Christmas...but it's almost impossible to know. If it's true, don't expect better than .500 ball the rest of the way.

True but the Celts were older and had more injuries.

The Lakers are old too. Didn't you see KoBrett Favryant out there tonight?

Besides at the end of the day the Celts LOST in the Finals. As a Laker fan I wouldn't take any consolation in a loss. If we continue to coast like this we likely won't have HCA outside of the first round which will lead to disappointment.

i'm not going to worry about the lakers just yet. i know they have been playing like shit lately but there is still a whole lot of season left. hell last season the lakers looked like shit going into the playoffs and they still managed to win the title. spurs fans shouldn't get so cocky just yet. watch them blow their wad early in the season and then get taken out in the playoffs.
