Agreed.

I think they should simplify the dunk contest and just have all the participants take turns dunking on Shawn Bradley.

This is an excellent idea but it would only reach its potential if they invite T-Mac to do what he did to Shawn Bradley in Dallas.

If he succeeds he'll think he's young and back again!

If he fails, then its excellent for the :lol s

He used to be able to hang in the air long enough for his bitch Jon Barry to start celebrating before he threw it down. How time flies :lol

happy new year nba gaf.

So i was watching the game today on demand and i know this has been said many many times, but when is phil going to wake the fuck up.
i know u have to be loyal to guys that have been there for you in clutch moments but we would benefit way more from blake being a starter.

It's just insane. As much as we all trashed Smush, his 2 seasons in LA were MUCH better than the crap Fish has been doing these last 2 years..

Seriously, you're making my morning. I'm picturing Smush Parker coming up with huge plays in consecutive NBA Finals and this is beyond fucking hilarious :lol :lol :lol

Starting 2011 off correctly I see :lol :lol

The ball just needs to be spread around more to get guys more involved. Ron is a better offensive player than what the stats show and should be getting more of a green light to occasionally take a couple of shots in a row. It would fuel his defense and give him more confidence to knock down the long ball. As it stands he is a pussy on offense and the teams lack of confidence in him allows opposing defenses to shrink the court. Ron actually shit all over the Lakers a few times in that playoff series in 09 and was dangerous. He is still as slow as he was then so athleticism is not the issue.

Fish is the starter. He's knocked down too many big shots. Two 7 footers and decent rotation should make up for his defensive woes, and its not like he doesn't make veteran plays on that end of the court. In truth its Kobe who sucks balls on D. When he laces em up he can play it but he has zero respect for anyone that isn't a superstar. He is the Asante Samuel of basketball. He does what he wants to do and forces his teammates to make up for his risk taking a lot of the time. He has been really turnover prone as well.

I notice this about Wade too but I think he's been better about it lately. Always really bothered me. But sometimes he'll see a scrub wide open and not even put a hand up :lol

Earlier in the season he was barely closing out on Ray Allen in the Boston games and I was like what the fuck? How can you be so lazy chasing him? So hopefully his increased D intensity might make a difference...

Ron should just stick to letting others create a shot for him, when Ron tries to create his own offense 9/10 it ends up ugly. When he moves cuts to the basket and spots up for corner threes that's where he's most useful on offense.

I agree the lakers should go to artest more, as it is now either they let kobe take the shot or pau. odom makes his own plays from time to time, but fisher is just driving me insane.
how can somebody who plays 28 minutes only have 1 point and 4 assists.
I know the guy made some huge shots for us in the past and even this year but still, we need a good pg, and as it stands blake is better than him. just let blake start.

Blake is not starting over Fisher period, and Fisher coming off the bench dosen't exactly strengthen the bench mob. Doesn't really matter who starts it's all about minutes look what Odom does coming off the bench.

Wade should never guard Ray. Ray has Lance Armstrong like conditioning and will not only tire Wade out but knows how to collect cheap fouls on anybody. Its game over if he is guarding Ray in a 7 game series. Wade isn't like LeRoid who seems to never get tired and is the definition of a freak of an athlete. Wade actually does get visibly tired on the court, which is not a mark against him because when you combine that type of strength and ball handling something has to give. He should D up Rondo.

Its because he is never really in a rhythm and people clearly don't want him shooting that way. Ron is awful as a spot up shooter. He is MUCH more comfortable getting his shot off when he can dribble into it. He is terrible at handling the ball but he is very good at getting that one step and elevating into his shot.

Take a look at this vid from a couple of years back.

He is a much better player when he is given a green light to create offensively. Give him a couple of possessions with the ball in his hand if he goes 1 for 5 then just let Kobe dominate the ball like he always does.

This is why I fucking hate playing the Celtics and know that we're going to need god-mode Wade or god-mode LeBron every game if we play in the playoffs. Or, if Ray Allen's jumpshot appears to die like it almost did in the first two rounds before they won the ship a few years ago. And of course Bosh will have to hit his open shots which he's been doing but who knows what will happen.

But what do we do then, put Arroyo/Chalmers on Allen? Put Wade on Pierce who will just isolate the shit out of him and shoot over him all day from the high post?

.............

THAT'S WHERE JESUS MILLER COMES IN!!!

No, but seriously. I think against Boston will we see end-game lineups of Wade, Miller, LBJ, Bosh, and one of our goon centers. I don't think we're going to do the Haslem/Bosh combination anymore...it's about as effective as when Bosh played alongside JO :lol

It was nice to see the real Kobe and Pau back on the court together. Konex must have shit his pants over Fish' statline. :lol

Now I want Fish to be the finals MVP for the threepeat.

Then why is Fish playing 27mpg? This is madness!

Ray is the type of guy where it doesn't really matter who is guarding him. He rarely attacks the rim and it doesn't matter whether its Wade or Arroyo trailing him around an illegal screen because he'll make it or miss it with no effect from the defender.

Wade on Rondo
Chalmers/Arroyo on Ray
Bron on Pierce

Also allows Wade to play off of Rondo a bit and play a bit of safety, and he's an elite help defender both on steals and blocks.

Wow, you just one-upped yourself entirely on the first day of the new year.

You are right Konex. It has been a HORRIBLE past 2 years for the Lakers fans.

Do you ever get tired of being wrong all the time?
