Romney is freaking creepy I swear. He looks like a robot with no emotions..
i wonder how many people switched after that debate... im certanly disappointed

Obama got thoroughly pummeled in that debate. I felt sorry for him at the time because, damn, that was a thrashing. But now I can't wait to see it again.
If he lied his ass off you would think there would be more mainstream investigative reporting on it.
...not just the liberal blogosphere name-calling-apolooza.

By "pummeled" I meant eviscerated and humiliated. If pummeled you mean romney lied, lied some more and lied again ok. Winning a debate in today's world is all about style not substance of which romney is only able to go up.
I foresee obama adjusting very well to the second debate. He now knows romney has no character, no scruples and is willing to lie about his lies.
Infact I can't wait for the next debates.
His tax plan made no sense whatsoever. It's almost as if he was just telling people what he thought they wanted to hear.If he lied his ass off you would think there would be more mainstream investigative reporting on it. Not just the liberal blogosphere name-calling-apolooza.

Wow. Look at that New Yorker cover.
I think Obama will do better in a town hall style debate though. It's easier for him to hide his inadequacies and ignorance on issues.

Im still waiting for the polls post-debate to see how much of a gain Romney did get... have there been any published so far?
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama's lead over challenger Mitt Romney has narrowed to just two percentage points since the Republican's strong performance in their first debate, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday.
In more bad news for Obama, one in five voters said the Democrat's performance in the contest in Denver on Wednesday made them feel more negative about him and almost a third said they felt more positive about his Republican challenger.
"Romney did well, he was perceived as doing well, and we're seeing the effect of that today," said Ipsos managing director Cliff Young. "Definitely in the short-term now, he's picking up people because of his performance in the debate."
Turns out Romney's cheat sheet was his handkerchief which he used several times during debate to wipe his face.
Time to roll out the next excuse. Maybe Obama hadn't gotten laid in awhile.
I certainly hope not so many fell for it. The reason Romney won was because he lied his goddamned ass off like I've really never seen before. The reason people should be disappointed in Obama is because he didn't call those out hard enough.
lied?
Not sure if serious
Obama was the one lying and Romney called him out on it every single time. If Romney was lying then why didn't Obama do the same thing and call him out on it?
I think those stares of his were related to him finally having a clear vision that Mitt's got the game plan and his own playbook sucks.
Can't wait to see Ryan rip apart old Slow Joe.
Poor Romney, all the talk about how well he did in the debate. Wiped out in less than 48 hours later by the jobs report.
It's nice and cozy under this rock!

Yeah. That 0.3% statistical anomaly is a game changer.Poor Romney, all the talk about how well he did in the debate. Wiped out in less than 48 hours later by the jobs report.
Man you guys are riled up about Romney's alleged lies. You know who has confirmed lied? Obama. Remember when he said unemployment would be 5.6 if they jammed through the "stimulus"? Remember when the American people would get to read bills online before they are passed? I don't recall being able to read the health care bill before hand. Heck even lawmakers didn't get to read it. Remember when the deficit would be cut in half? Yeah good stuff. Remember when Gitmo would be closed?
I know. Bush's fault!
Obama got crushed in the debate because his record is poor. He didn't do a lot of hope and change he ran on. He did the same stuff everyone else has done and in some instances worse. Its been 4 years and all he can say is how bad it was when he inherited it. What's the statute of limitations on that? If Obama wins does the next democratic nominee get to run on that too?
Yeah. That 0.3% statistical anomaly is a game changer.

Absolutely. And you know what's really funny. A few days before the election, this little anomaly will bite Democrats in the ass when that unemployment rate goes up again. Mark my words.Wait, you really believe its a statistical anomaly? Jesus christ.
I'm curious on the examples you can provide where he has done what 'everyone else' has done, and the instances in which he did worse. I would also like to know what you would consider the ideal solution in 2008 to the problems we can see now that was the fallout of the housing bubble and economy tanking, since you seem to be quite an expert on how the Bush administration's backed up sewage really can't last that long.Man you guys are riled up about Romney's alleged lies. I disagree. I'm pretty good at deceiving myself.come on, "Independent" Bulbo, you can be better than this.
The last revision was jobs rose significantly MORE than the reports have been saying; chances are revisions will continue to be on the UPTREND, not the downtrend.
I know this post won't matter to your vision of reality, but you should not close your ears to the truth in the darkness when you're in your own head. You can't deceive yourself.

Obama also never claimed he could sort everything in one term and did say he'd need the full two terms, even then it would take time.
Yes he did. He was a lot more optimistic at the beginning.

It was great to see Obama get the trashing that he deserved, shame it happen to be Romney to do it.
To most people, "turning around" probably means more than 7.8%, but I'm just assuming. There's still a lot of people out of work. I think your definition is a bit generous, and I'm not sure if a lot of other people would be as generous too. That's not the same as claiming he would sort everything out in four years. He merely said if the economy didn't turn around in 3 years he wouldn't be re-elected. Turning around doesn't mean completely recovered; it merely means on a trajectory that seems like recovery. Since he basically now is confirmed to have halted the Great Recession it its track and unemployment just hit 7.8%, I'd say he passed the bar... albeit, barely.

I think it's nearer to an objective standard if we asked: did he at least get unemployment down to levels lower than they were when he got in there, effectively officially changing course on the great recession?
He won't get shit on for the economy, but will get shit on for his policies (by Republicans). 2006 and 2007 had under 5% unemployment and Bush still got a reaming for his policies (by Democrats).Ps Obama can have an unemployment rate under 5 and he will still get shit.
