What are people taking: Over/under on 90% of the debate responses completely ignoring the question asked, and going on a general, non specific, tangent about how their policies are just going to make everything awesome.

UK folk: BBC News Channel is broadcasting the debates live, 2am BST (and conveniently simulcast on BBC Two, so you don't even need a Freeview box). Sky News will also cover it, along with all the US news channels we get over here.

Awesome, wouldnt dare watch sky though, they are terrible at these things, lots of stuff cut off.

Moderator asks the questions he wants. Romney gives the answer he wants. That's how this works.

Romney may not be as intelligent as say Newt, but he should nevertheless still be more than adequately capable of thoroughly dispatching Obama. Especially with the newly released megaton video from yesterday.

I kind of hope downtown Denver has a bunch of people out tonight. There should be lots of people out and about after the debate is done. Could be some good stupid fights.

Where is 25 going to be closed? I thought the debate was at the convention center at first so I thought the downtown exits wee going to be hell but it's at Magnus correct? That would mean a big chunck of highway near Evans.

I have to come home from 36 and I just need to make it to the park avenue exit

Christ, that's way more than I thought they would block off. Looks like I'm ok though. Kind of sucks I have to work until 8 tonight. By the time I get home from Broomfield, it will be over or mostly over.

Romney is going to push the economy hasn't changed in the past four years, but all Obama has to say is "well thats because your stupid ass party has blocked any decent thing to come through Congress." Nothing has changed, Obama just has to go full bore on the piss poor trickle down econ that's been proven not to work, and 47%.

Problem is Americans are too ignorant and aloof to realize that the president can't just unilaterally enact whatever economic policy he wants.

He'll have to have a better response then that... Or at the minimum add something else to the response.

I think Obama has it locked up unless some ridiculously bad unforeseen thing happens. And I think that kind of gaff is more likely to happen to Romney than Obama.

I wonder about you second point as well... I am at the hospital i am not sure this wifi can stream youtube well enough but I have most cable channels and the talk on CNN right now annoys me.

maybe I'll try PBS

I am rooting for Mitt Romney but I am scared at his prospects of achieving a good debate performance. He had a pretty difficult time in the Republican Primaries save maybe the one in Florida.

President Obama is an excellent orator and debater, hopefully Mitt Romney comes well prepared.

There was a great article about the RNC and about how unprepared he was. They were making constant changes to changes to new material. At least he needs to be well prepared this time.
