This fuckin game, man! It starts slow
because of my OCD at collecting the shit around the campsite
but it's soooo good!

Im thinking of starting a thread, all about PC game screenshots at the absolute lowest settings at something like 1280x720, for comical purposes and to see what games still look pretty good at that. Anybody interested in that ?

Kind of... There'd be no need for a game to be posted multiple times, however, so the thread would likely not last long and only get posts after releases.

Still would be kind of neat, IMO.

I'll post in it.

People complaining about the changes to the textures in ME3 SMH. LIke that game has decent art direction aside from the original work on the alien races.

Clearly you didn't read my posts, otherwise you would know there were more to my argument than that. You would see that the modder's use of textures are the same across several different meshes, meaning that armours suddenly have the same characteristics. Moreover, I would even argue that it's irrelevant to argue that ME3 has good/decent/bad art style (what you are doing), because it is only in comparison between the modded and the original textures that my critique focuses on. In that regard, I would definitely say the original art is preferable to the constant use of jeans-fabric and dotted stripes maps we are seeing.

Even at that, several arguments could be made for my preference, such as author intentionality (if we agree that such a phenomenon exists).

Man, I should really start playing this again. Bought it during the Steam winter sale, played it for a bit, but then stopped for some reason. Other games got in the way, I guess. Now I'm a bit hesitant to go back to it since I don't have a clue what I was doing last time I played it, but I'm gonna give it a try.

At the time people said it didn't look all that great but it holds up exceptionally well to this day .

I remember that. It was being compared to BGII and Icewind Dale, though, which had beautiful painted backgrounds. It did look a bit Diablo II when it was released in comparison.

God damn Square, this could the the easiest HD remaster ever. Up the Resolution, add widescreen support, and HD'ify some menus. Done.

Everything except the battle menus scale up perfectly. Shame there's no widescreen hacks for pcsx2.

As much as I love the lowest settings thread. It's nice to take a break, back here for a few minutes. Let the eyes heal, for a bit. =P

Yeah. I too am digging them, more than I expected. Think they feel more open, than they look like they're going to be. It's not all just one big funnel. Still more excited for the next packs though.

Damn, didn't even realize they were out. So torn on picking up premium..

Meh. I have no interest in the CQ maps, and the rest of the maps I would be buying blind. Who knows all but the next map pack could be CQ too. And now with the "priority" queue BS that happens to people who don't buy premium I don't see why I should buy any more map packs or even play the game. It would have been nice if EA/Dice would have told us before we bought the game that premium was coming and if we don't buy it we get pushed to the back of the queue behind premium members.
