try unplugging the second screen and seeing if that helps

reinstall the drivers and select clean install

see if a new HDMI cable makes any difference

go into the TV settings and mess around to see if other modes help

go to desktop color settings in nvidia control panel - the defaults are

50%, 50%, 1.00
50%, 0 degrees

if nothing helps then try this when the nvidia forums come back - they are currently down following a breach

it's not outputting the wrong hdmi range at the higher res for some reason, is it?

That's what it is probably. Nvidia's drivers default to 16-235 when outputting the standard HD resolutions (1080p, 720p). When you use a 'computer' resolution, or anything other than the HD resolutions it'll output the normal 0-255 range. Unfortunately this can not be changed in the control panel.

However, considering it's an HDTV you're using, it should be able to (and by default, you'd assume!) output in the 16-235 range. So look in your picture settings for your TV to see if is set to computer mode instead of video.

I was disappointed by that. My TV looks best with Full RGB, but I can't get downsampling resolutions to use it, only 1080p, so I'm stuck using Limited RGB for everything.

Fixed it, found the solution on another forum.

I had to create a custom resolution that was identical to the default recommended one and for some reason the colours are not washed out when I choose this custom resolution.

No idea why it works but I'm glad it's looking how it should now.

But you can change the range. It's under the desktop color settings, bootom of the box, "fullscreen video" for limited and "desktop" for full range.

I think there is a separate section for video playback settings, however I didn't notice a change when flipping between the desktop mode and the other one.

That's right, changing that setting won't make a difference. Something AMD drivers do a lot better - they allow you to switch RGB/YCPBR ranges and have other options that are nice for those who care about video (very solid deinterlacer and some other misc stuff).

Anyway, back to screenshots! Sadly, I'm at work and can't provide any :|

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition with high(er)-res textures

And those Super Mario Galaxy 2 screenshots are unreal. I tried playing it on Dolphin many months ago, but had major sound issues. I think those screens have convinced me to give it another shot.

Can you link to the high res texture pack?

Could you tell me where you got those? I tried playing with them a long time ago, and the current build of Dolphin at the time was unable to load custom textures for whatever reason. Now I think it's been fixed, but all the links I could find to the textures have expired.

To those asking for RE4 Wii Edition high-res textures, go here. You have to download each file individually, but I think it's worth it.

EDIT: Also be sure to run the game in DX9. In DX11 Leon's new hair texture glitches.
