It could stand to look more fiery rather than like pure polygonal cylinders.

Just as making something reflective and wavy doesn't make it look like water, and making something red and translucent doesn't make it look like fire. Yet unlike water, it shouldn't be much more of an extra FX strain to make it more convincing.

Can't just link to any jet engine nor their state. There's a distinct difference in shape and size, also how powerful the afterburner is. At maximum capacity, it's a very clean cone with those signature rings like in the screenshot I posted. Weather and temperatures also has an effect. However I do agree it's not perfect and again, DCS World has no flyable jet fighters so I doubt afterburner / jet flame cone is a priority right now - When FC3 is released as a module, it'll probably get some love.

I managed to get the game running in 1440p, which wasn't too tough. Unfortunately the only available HUD fixes that I can find are 1920 X 1200 and 2560 X 1600, but nothing for 1440. But I think I will live with the HUD placement, unless I find a fix.

I was quite pleasantly surprised by how good this game looks, considering its age.

How does DCS World work exactly? I'm probably going to pick up at least Black Shark in the Steam sale, but if I get A-10 as well will I just have to download something so they can connect?

And is FC3 going to be a total redo of FC in the DCS vein? I had LOMAC+FC (the original I believe) about 5 or 6 years ago and liked screwing around.

DCS World is basically the "Core" package, that contains everything, you need that no matter what. Then you can buy BS2, download a small file ( Missions etc. ) and you can fly it, access to missions etc. and same with every module basically. Remember that there's Black Shark 1 and 2, BS1 is not compatible and you need to buy the upgrade if you want to merge it with DCS World.

And I don't know much about FC3 right now, as far as I've read it's going to be another module that merges with World ( Making it stand-alone wouldn't make sense at this point ). So yeah it'll probably be in the same vein, perhaps a tad more realistic as Lomac and FC was pretty "arcade".

They also made deals with lots of third party developers for other modules and planes.

Right now DCS World has massive potential for expansion and development, it's going to be the ultimate digital battlefield.

Hey guys, this is a test post, tell me what you think.

So, what I'm doing is I wanna try making some 3D images of games, and this is my first test on Syndicate. Excuse that it's not a really nice scenery shot, I'm just testing how the 3D works for you guys.

It's a little tough to do, but you have to have both images fully in view, if you put it in fullscreen the image should horizontally fill a 1080p monitor.

So, with both images fully in view, cross your eyes so that both pictures overlap each other in the middle. Once you've got them locked over each other in your eyes, try to move forward and back a little until you can get a good focus on them.

When you do it correctly, the image will have depth and look 3D. I've tested it myself and gotten it to work, so give it a shot, I plan to try and take some better shots that utilize this in the future.

Dude, I think your left/right are flip flopped. I was able to just turn sideXside 3d on with my monitor which did work but I had to wear the glasses upside down to get proper depth. With how it is right now the depth information is backwards. Neat idea for a screen grab though.

Aha holy shit, you're totally right. Thanks. I was wondering why it took so much longer for me to be able to focus well. Fixed it.

3D shit never looks 3D. That said, how can you focus on a wall of bloom?

May I ask how you did this? (With the minor change that I want it in 1080p)

I want to play KOTOR on my pc again but I just can't deal with the low resolution.

this is the last post of this page (elite 100ppp)

so its the ideal place to post the rules - since they seem to get ignored a lot
