Rape trades like that are usually based on emotions and not logic.The Magic could of got a deal similar to what the Nuggets got but they didn't put their franchise ahead of their feelings like the Nuggets.

Part of that might be due to Melo being professional in how he reacted so the Nuggets organization didn't overreact either. The funniest part of this is the Nuggets are such pro's at this star player trading thing, they knew how to get a piece of the action in this deal as well.

Dwight held alot more cards then Melo ever did. He only had a handful of teams that he would give some kind of commitment to. No team was gonna gut their roster NY style for a 1-year rental. Dwight knew that. LA knew that. ORL's posturing was fooling nobody. It ultimately came down to LA or BK. Either them, or letting him walk. Lose-Lose really.
