1. He plays for the Knicks.
2. He gets treated like he's one of the best superstars in the league when he's just a really solid top 25 kind of player.

Your call.
by who? he was called out like never before during and after the Lin era and he's always talked about in a negative way. I honestly thought he got more negative press than Dwight, cause of the media market he's in.
the one let up was during those two weeks in london when he was balling out of his mind.

Not even I will deny that Melo played his roll well in the olympics.

Unfortunately his roll in the NBA will never be hitting wide open 22 foot jumpers.

Of course it will. Teams are going to be double teaming the unstoppable force that is Raymond Felton.

As funny as it sounds I think the only way he and Amare can work is felton and Amare run the P-n-R and Melo plays off that for those easy jumpers and then post ups whenever Amare sits down.

Since it looks like his career might be over since no team seems interested in signing him, it's kind of unbelievable how McGrady never made it out of the first-round.

Today's First Take was pretty entertaining when the topic was Kobe and whether he will be happy adjusting to his new, reduced, role in the offense.

There was one point where Skip and SAS damn near reduced themselves to babbling as they get really into it, not letting the other guy get the last word. I know it happens everyday, but this was a little more than the usual. I was laughing so much that the wifey walked in to see what the fuss was about.

yeah this is Skip's nba storyline for the year. with his LBJ rants outdated at this point, he's gotta find some other story to milk, and it has to be about a team and star that's a ratings draw. he prolly wont even watch half the games, just look at the box score, kobe's fga, then take it from there. Ive never seen that guy at an nba game. ever. at least SAS goes to the games, I always see his ass in the press row or sitting behind the bench.

I am not a Knick fan, or even a Carmelo fan; but I think you guys are way to hard on him. He is a pretty special player. His 2012 Olympics were really impressive.

This flopping rule is a great thing, but man is it going to be a mess. Some guys just try to take charges, and now they could be fined for it????

NBPA announces it will file grievance and unfair labor practices charge against #NBA over new flopping fines.

LMAO

This is why we can't have nice things.

Go fuck yourself, Fish.

im interested to see if the Knicks FO start shopping Melo around if he and Amare produce another .500 record and first round playoff exit. I bet Mark Cuban would bite.

Flopping penalties are gonna be pointless. It might change the aesthetics, but it'll still happen. It's not like flopping effects the outcome of many games anyway. People will celebrate this, but it's pretty meaningless. PEACE.

Nah Melo is here long term. Amare's injury risk alone means he would be the first to go.

2015 Melo, Chandler, and Love

uninsured Amare is probably the hardest contract in the NBA to trade.

And there's still 2/3 years left on his contract?

(He either signed 5/100 or 6/120 i forget which).

He will probably get picked up around the deadline when teams are gearing up for their playoff runs.

Kevin Love?

You'd be lucky to get Gerald Henderson and Tyrus

Dude we're not the bobcats ....

Its been said Joe Johnson and at that point its a 2 year contract possibly even less if done later near the deadline.... but realistically the Knicks should let them all expire max contracts will be about 15 million by then anyhow.
