I'd be more willing to blame Kobe if I thought anybody else on his team would have stepped up in the 4th, but we know there wouldn't have been anyone. Kobe played harder with the flu then anybody else, it's pathetic. Gasol is a pussy, Bynum is a lazy child, nobody shoots, nobody cares, Brown shouldn't be allowed to coach a middle school basketball team. This team was never going to win, it's amazing they're even in the second round.

man oh man... these last second losses just hurt man. We were the better team for the entire game. The entire game both times. And it didn't matter because we just ran out of juice for whatever reason.
Also, we have no one that can guard Westbrook but Kobe. But we can't put him on him because it tires Kobe the fuck out. So what do we get? Westbrook nailing jumpers over Blake for 3 quarters. Just... ugh

I don't know why you guys never notice this but they kept trying to go to Bynum and he was too tired to get proper position with Perkins or whoever all over him. Would you want Blake, Pau, or MWP throwing turnovers?
Then at any point when things get tight nobody wants to step up they go to Kobe expecting miracles and Kobe is too full of himself to say no.

The Lakers gave up the game when Brooks put Durant on Kobe. That was when I knew OKC would win.
Really changed the game. Seems like Durant's size bothered him, or at the very least made him more hesitant.

Kobe is a great player, no one is questioning that. What makes a team great though is playing as a team. Liking each other, communicating, and playing with positive energy.
The Thunder play like they are a fraternity. Like they are family. Best friends. These type of elements combined with playing on a professional sports team gives you such a higher edge.
The Lakers don't have that.

The Lakers do not look like they enjoy one another and they don't look like they enjoy playing basketball. I've said for years that Kobe Bryant is probably the worst guy in the NBA to play with.

Those same players were on the roster and Kobe was still a douche 2 years ago this June.

Thing is, no one else on this team can get their own shot with Bynum being fronted. So either you give it to Kobe vs. tough defense or non-scorers. He missed but this game was lost on defense. We let Westbrook get way too comfortable in the 4th
