I never look at frame rate. I'd guess, based on how it feels, 35-45, depending on what's happening. Keep in mind, I have 4GB 680s in SLI (2) and physx on high (completely unnecessary). It's playable but not ideal. SGSSAA is definitely a requirement, otherwise the outlines will look awful. I'd love to crank that up to 8x but that'd be brutal on my FPS. I'll remember to turn on fraps next time I'm in the game.

I wouldn't say there isn't a statute of limitation on spoilers, because we've gone on and on about this since before this 2013 thread, back in the 2012 and maybe even in the 2011 thread... generally it's between 2 weeks and 2 months IIRC , depending on how big the game is and how story driven it might be.
Although it goes without saying that the above is overwritten by the following: you should always use common sense before posting a spoiler, even a year out. If you have to ask yourself if your fellow thread-goers will care... then you should at least think twice and/or be wary about posting a straight up spoiler.

Alright. Forget what I said. My FPS was being crippled by SMAA for some reason. Disabling SMAA brought my FPS up to 72.
That's the only SweetFX shader that's actually hitting my performance really hard. And honestly, downsampling + SGSSAA means I don't even need SMAA. So yeah. Performance is quite good. Might even crank up SGSSAA to 8 to see if that's playable.

SMAA is weird sometimes, I turned it on in Call of Duty 4 and it gave me an appalling frame rate but it seems different from game to game. In others it doesn't even have a 1 FPS impact on performance.

hmmm high average? What resolution?
I've only played with V-Sync so not sure how high I could actually go. It's been steady at 60 the whole game. In 1080p.

Playing the new Assault on Dragon Keep (only about an hour in) and gosh I had forgotten just how great Borderlands 2 can look. So much colour.

I suggest going into Nvidia control Panel, and setting global Adaptive Vsync in the 3d section.
So if I have Adaptive enable in the CP I can just leave the v-sync to off in the games options?

yeah, it turns on when you can spare the framerate and stays off when you can't. Also haven't experienced any input lag or anything with it.

at 4k with 4xSS, I get around 3-8 fps, but I don't play it that way. I can usually managed around 30 fps at 4k with FXAA, and it's generally great that way, but sometimes TressFX acts a fool and tanks my FPS till either I restart the game, or I switch TressFX off and on a lot.
What I usually do, is play normally at 4k FXAA and then pause a lot to get a screenshot moment. Then I'll go and change it to 4xSS and when switching between parts of the pause menu, there's a bit of time where you can nab a hud-less screenshot. Then I switch 4xSS off, and continue playing.

The ways in which People Can Fly's Bulletstorm was better than Gears of War leave me baffled as to how it so incredibly underperformed. Even the tacked on multiplayer was fun. In fact, now that I know what I'm doing I may have to try and get some shots from it as well. But still, not done with the Fallout 3.

Yup Conquest 64 on Caspian Border. I would have to re-check my settings cause I can't remember this morning the exact msaa setting but I remember pretty much maxing everything out in the menu lol.

Fairly intensive. I am maintaining 60fps and I even upped the draw distance but the card(s) are working for sure.
Climates of Tamriel are probably responsible for the sky and DatGrass for the, well, grass. Then I have texture mods, ENB etc.

Buying both next gen consoles this year, so not sure if I will be able to fit in a GPU upgrade in there as well.... but would say a 7970 handle heavily modded Skyrim at a good rate? I run about 50 mods now, but haven't been playing Skyrim or Modding it at all since last year.
Your shots are some of the best of Skyrim I've seen in months (I prefer environmental shots as a style, which should be obvious from my own posts), but he has a point.
People are too quick to shoot their load over Skyrim shots, sometimes it's downright baffling. Everyone jerking each other off over the mod selection and ENB choice, blah blah blah. Sometimes it seems like it's the only game people give a shit about.
I'm not saying it's wrong or whatever, or that people don't have a right to exclaim when something impresses them (doing so would be hypocritical after my first sentence), but I'm just saying that I think there's some kind of unfair bias towards Skyrim or something. I do understand that a lot of work goes into getting that game to look the way you want it, but I just think that people are too quick to drool over Skyrim screenshots, in general. Just a harmless observation.
