Carmelo did call out his teammates in the media, and right now is being stymied by Vogel's plan of "whenever Carmelo is in HIbbert/George are on the court". Dude has to get some help... let's review:

Felton: Went 1/8 on a bad ankle, gets a pass since he's the only legit threat besides Carmelo who starts.
Shump: Bad game, but definitely is an X-factor with his rebounding/matchup on West.
Cope: Not playing despite having a good matchup vs. Pacers.
Novak: see Cope, but to a lesser extent.
JR Smith: GOD DAMMIT JR
Kidd: Has not scored a point since April 23rd.

If Knicks had the JR of April they'd swept the Celtics and been up at least 2-1 on the Pacers. Defenses get much better in the playoffs and let's just say JR has played himself back into Knicks affordability next season.

That's because securing possessions for your team is part of defense and Avery being a complete waste of offensive possessions makes up for the few times per game that he manages to disrupt who he's defending.

He reminds me of Chris Singleton.

Yesh. His maddening obsession of ignoring halftime adjustments that had been working and not playing certain guys has pissed me off for the last time. I'm losing the Woodson T-shirt avatar right now. He gotta win my trust back with lots of Copeland and Novak, and maybe the return of THE BARON.

i hate iso melo a lot but to his credit who else is stepping up? he can trust his team mates but if theyre not making shots, setting screens or do something other than fucking stand still and watch melo get hammered by 3 dudes, whats he supposed to do? hes taking a lot of shitty shots because no one else is making them.

this team is imploding.

Guys, we are down one game in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

The team isn't imploding, it's not in mortal danger, etc. Cool the hyperbole down.
Next game is an important game...just like every single playoff game is. Luckily, until we're playing MIA, every game is eminently winnable. ISO Melo isn't smart to do, unless we use it as a safety valve on a play that doesn't work, or as a way to grind defenses down on mismatches with the lead. The Knicks have to let that 2-guard backcourt drive at almost all times, and predicate their offense on motion. Melo will get his; we need to make it easier for others to step up and get theirs, too.

All-defensive teams shouldn't be bad but they often are. Instead of picking guys coaches know should be on it, the coaches don't want to offend anyone they may eventually coach.

As has been pointed out, DPOY is voted by media, All Defense by coaches.

The coaches put zero effort into it. OH IBAKA HAS 3 BLOCKS PER GAME. SURE I'LL WRITE HIM IN.


It's weird in a way because coaches watch so much game film you'd think they'd have the most insight but alas...

Clipps management are meeting this week to decide if they want to keep Del Negro.

Chris Paul doesn't like playing in Del Negro's system.

There is a lot of talk that Atlanta would trade Horford away for scraps and let Smith walk if they could sign Chris and Dwight.

Only issue with that is...

Miami is in the same division
