Knicks peaked. They pretty much have nowhere to go but down with this Melo/Amare/Tyson core.

Not sure how they're going to do moving forward. They got killed by injuries this year, but Melo, Chandler, and Amar'e are all really injury-prone and the Amar'e injury greatly helped their team. Melo isn't as good as he played this year and will regress, but Shumpert and Chandler could definitely have better years.

Chandler is getting up there though. He may have hit that wall where he cannot be fully productive for an entire season anymore. The Amare contract is killer though. He takes up what? 35% of their cap and gives them nothing. Not like they shouldn't have seen that coming though.

Yeah, if Chandler's declining and his year this year wasn't a fluke then they're going to just get worse moving forward, but if he can bounce back, they'll be better next year then they were this year.

Melo and JR being just awful postseason players probably stops the Knicks from advancing in the postseason against good teams regardless of their defense though.
