I have 4 options for my FLEX and need some help picking which one to go with (it's a 12-team PPR league):

Michael Crabtree @ Arizona
OR
Shane Vereen vs. Oakland
OR
Zach Ertz vs. Washington
OR
Khiry Robinson vs. Minnesota

I'd stick with Crabtree if Veron is out. Kaep plays well against ARI but he looked bad against a worse DEF in CHI. He'll have to throw to somebody.

Vereen and Ertz are dice rolls, they have the potential to outproduce Crabs but they could just as easily drop goose eggs.

Khiry is interesting because he may get more than just goal line carries in a home blow out, could have a ton of garbage time carries.

Pretty f'in happy so far that I picked the same lineup for 4 Draftkings games all of which included:

Matt Ryan and Julio Jones

I knew they'd have a big game at home vs. TB...Didn't seem TB being this pathetic though.
Yep, Julio paid off in spades tonight.
Took some of the sting out of including Rainey in my lineups with him (which all things considered could have been a lot worse - 100 combined yards and 7 catches for that mess of a game).

FFFFFFFF

Picked Rainey at last minute, Started him and he did squat..

Now I gotta decide who to play at other RB

R Jennings
or S Vereen

Did not see Tampa Bay getting the ass whooping of a lifetime tonight. Still glad Rainey salvaged his night in garbage time so I'm not negative...I'll take a 6-0 lead in my head-head. And as an added bonus my opponent forgot to sit White.

~100 total yards, which after 2 fumbles is still 6 points. What we wanted? No. But still 6 points more than I dreamed of after halftime. He led the team in receiving and rushing, and could still be the lead back next week, which is scary considering in the old Kubiak offenses he would be on the street.

R Jennings
or S Vereen

My guess is Jennings, but it's a tough one. ESPN had a neat stat that Ridley gets much more work than Vereen when the Pats are winning while Vereen gets much more if they're losing.

They aren't losing to the Raiders.

The only downside to Jennings is that the Gmen offense is trash. The Texans are going to beat the crap out of Eli. They will probably run just to keep Eli from getting crushed in the pocket, or at least throw to Jennings on short slants or dumpoffs because there isn't enough time.

I've somehow acquired too many RBs and don't know who to start. 3WR/2RB league.

My RB1 is Morris.

RB2 choices:

Ahmad Bradshaw
Khiry Robinson
Toby Gerhart
Rashad Jennings
Zac Stacy

What do I do?

Also Cooks, James Jones, Deandre Hopkins, Crabtree?

Which two do y'all like?

In my league Rainey only got 3, We lose 2 points for fumbles

Yeah, last night was just arcane. Bobby Rainey was set up in every way to have a decent game, and then it ends up being like a 42 point game.

So it kind of sucks that Eric Decker's playing Monday so I don't know if I should start him or not, his status may not be decided until Monday. Am I taking him out to be safe GAF? He's a good start if he plays.

Well last night was a bust to start. Roddy White is out so I play Douglas who gets hurt, Rainey was a huge bust, and the Falcons did so well that my kicker simply got 8 XP.

It's just good I overmatch my opponent so well this week.

Toby Gerhart being a complete non-factor has earned him a permanent benching from my Flex spot. I was going to put Gates there but with Vernon Davis likely out, Gates is now my TE.

So who should I start: Asiata, Brian Quick, or Lamar Miller?

Still waiting on news about J. Charles since I picked up Kniles Davis on waiver. Would be a shame not to be able to use him. Wanted some views on my current RB/WR/flex lineup. Standard scoring.

QB - Peyton Manning
RB - Montee Ball
RB - Reggie Bush
WR - Andre Johnson
WR - Jeremy Maclin
TE - Greg Olsen
W/R/T - Zac Stacy
K - Stephen Gostkowsky
DEF/ST - Carolina

Bench: Kniles Davis, Torrey Smith, Steve Smith Sr., Terrence West, Antonio Gates.

Don't think Gates will pull off another blowout week, but that's the problem with having two viable TE options. Still think Olsen is the safer pick, but it's always a toss up. Both have good match ups. Ravens also have a good matchup for WR's..so I'm waffling between maybe starting one of the Smiths. Tough week =/

Ugh, update:

I ended up starting Rainey and thankfully his receptions ended up salvaging his night at 9 in my league (including the points lost for fumbles). Thankfully, I had Matt Ryan so he balanced everything out. Still looking good going into Sunday, but I know in my heart of hearts that Donald Brown is going to go off to punish my lack of faith.

Regardless of Charles' status, I'd start Davis over Bush. He's gonna see a lot of work.

You started a RB who had just had a monster week AND had the next guy in line (martin) miss the game, going against a team that had been gashed by New Orleans for 140 yards and 3 TDs on the ground, and had something I can't even type here done to them on the ground by Cincinatti the previous week.

You need to look at the process vs the results sometimes.

I did the same thing, started Rainey over Donald Brown. Looking at the score after the half, I was sick to my stomach. Two fumbles? But in the end, he had a 10-point day thanks to his 7 receptions (0.5 ppr) and he's a valuable handcuff to my gimped Doug Martin. It definitely looked like the right play at the time, especially with Martin out of the game. It does look like Rainey will get his touches down the line if he can get a handle on his one-game fumblitis.

Would I be crazy to start Lamar Miller over Forte?

I've got a feeling!

You aren't crazy

But you will feel like a fucking moron if Forte outscores Lamar Miller.

If you drafted Forte, you probably used one of the first 4-5 picks in the draft to get him. There is a reason you did this, and unless something has changed in the time since the draft- like an Injury, a role change, or a legitimate sign of decline (none of which are true here- he had 170 combined yards week 1), you shouldn't be benching him for someone who is a worse player than they are. Yes, it's a bad matchup against the Jets, but matchups don't always mean anything- look at the people who started Jake Locker in a "dream" matchup last week against Dallas, for example.

Would I be crazy to start Lamar Miller over Forte?

I've got a feeling!

Yeah. This would be an awful decision. Even if Miller somehow outscored Forte this week, you'd be reinforcing a bad decision making process that would screw you up more times than it'd help you throughout the season.

As others said, you picked him in the first round for a reason. You don't bench your first round pick over a matchup in week 3.

Alright, you guys are right. I already screwed up last week by playing Locker over Rivers and Newton. I need to stop overanalyzing and micromanaging my team.

Would I be crazy to start Lamar Miller over Forte?

I've got a feeling!

I wouldn't but I see where you're coming from. There isn't enough to go on after 2 weeks to make that decision based on anything factual. It's a balls or brains situation here.

I'm playing Miller in my fanduel league but I wouldn't be willing to buy high on Forte this week which tells me something. I have the same feeling you do. All that said, you're playing Forte. Don't get cute.

Don't know how one might only get 3 points for Rainey. I guess a bad rules league where only rushing counts for RBs?

I think if the team really thought it was all his fault he would not have seen the field again during the second half. All of the Bucs were brutal. The corners were basically playing like they were picked up off the street. The receivers kept dropping passes. McCown was terrible.

Just watching the game, you could see once the Falcons were up 28 that it wasn't really even a case of the Bucs being bad anymore. The Falcons confidence was through the roof. Their guys knew they could strip the ball on any given play, and Ryan could sit in the pocket with confidence. One of Rainey's fumbles came on what - at that point - was the biggest gain of the game for the Bucs, which tells you the Falcons knew the Bucs couldn't gain yardage and they could focus all of their defense on turnovers.

Hell, Lovie Smith even let the team kick at Hester. Repeatedly. They had no answer for the Falcons on either side of the ball.

I would go Maclin. He's the go to on that uptempo offense, sproles is somewhat boom or bust, and Edelman is a PPR monster, but won't often get the endzone like he did last week.

Since white was out, I had to shuffle my WR. I have Wallace as the only lock, and have Kelven Benjamin in whites spot atm. I can replace Kelven with Cruz, or anquan Boldin.

12 Team PPR League
Should I trade Percy Harvin for Sproles?

WRs: Demaryous, AJ Green, Crabtree, Boldin, J.Jones and Harvin (Play 3)
RBs: Martin :(, Gerhart :(, Ridley, Ivory, Rainey, K. Davis (play 2)
Have 2 flex also.

I'm almost thinking it since Sproles is awesome at PPR but his usage might go down.
Also, my RB depth sucks for now until Doug Martin and Gerhart step it up.

Watcha think?

Forsett and Sanu are available on waivers but I think my players are probably better.

At least he got that late TD, but Vincent Jackson is killing me...

Maybe things will look up if Glennon is the starter again, but I doubt it. I'm thinking about trying to trade him

Carson Palmer's out. Should I sit Floyd against SF with Stanton throwing the ball? I have Andrew Hawkins ready to take his place. It seems like a pretty easy choice, but Fred Jackson has been so disappointing this season that I'm considering just rolling with Floyd in the Flex spot in his place. Am I crazy?

I'd do this trade. You have the depth to spare, and Percy will at least once a season drive you crazy by being inactive out of nowhere due to migraines an hour before kickoff

Kind of settled on my Draft Kings contest lineups for the week... obviously these may change depending on injury updates Sunday.

THURSDAY-SUNDAY

QB - Russell Wilson vs. DEN - $6,800
RB - Bobby Rainey @ ATL - $5,800 - 15.5 Points
RB - Pierre Thomas vs. MIN - $4,900
WR - Julio Jones vs. TB - $7,500 - 40.1 Points
WR - Demaryius Thomas @ SEA - $6,600
WR - Mike Wallace vs. KC - $5,800
TE - Greg Olsen vs. PIT - $5,600
FLEX - Khiry Robinson vs. MIN - $3,900
DST - Indianapolis Colts @ JAX - $3,100

Going with the value play at QB, the contrarian logic of playing D. Thomas against the Seachickens (13 receptions in the Super Bowl against them), doubling down on the Saints RBs (somewhat of a hedge but they'll be up big against the Vikes), the Colts defense against the sack-happy Jaguars, Olsen as a target monster vs. the Steelers (with Avant, Cotchery and DeAngelo all hurt) and Wallace to throttle the depleted Chiefs secondary. Should hopefully be enough to win some contests thanks to the early lead from the Thursday night debacle.

SUNDAY-MONDAY

This one is more of an "all-in on the Lions" squad. May fine-tune it to be a little more sensible before kickoff.

QB - Matthew Stafford vs. GB - $8,800
RB - Joique Bell vs. GB - $5,400
RB - Reggie Bush vs. GB - $5,000
WR - Calvin Johnson vs. GB - $8,900
WR - Golden Tate vs. GB - $5,000
WR - DeSean Jackson @ PHI - $5,000 (he's listed as Questionable to play - but it's his old team so I think he'll be motivated)
TE - Dennis Pitta @ CLE - $4,400
FLEX - Chris Ivory vs. CHI - $5,000
DST - Dallas Cowboys @ STL - $2,500

Thinking I may swap out DJax and Ivory for Fitzgerald and Sproles. That would probably be more sensible, n'est-pas?
Although Chris Johnson's a bit of an injury risk himself this week... Ivory would be money if he's ruled out.

Terrance West vs Balt
or
Bernard Pierce vs Cle

I don't really like either guy but I definitely think West is better than Pierce. Though I think the Ravens D is much better than the Browns. My other RBs are just wait and see guys, nobody I can put in.

Who would you guys start - Lamar Miller vs KC or Rashad Jennings vs Houston? Normally I'd go straight to Jennings but Miller should see a higher volume of touches than usual and Houston's rush defense is looking very good so far. Not to mention, I expect Eli to get sacked early and often.

WR - DeSean Jackson @ PHI - $5,000 (he's listed as Questionable to play - but it's his old team so I think he'll be motivated)

Terrance West vs Balt
or
Bernard Pierce vs Cle

Just an FYI - both Desean Jackson and Bernard Pierce are listed as questionable. Where Jackson seems more on the side of 'not likely to play or limited involvement' questionable and Pierce is precautionary questionable. And cr - I'd personally go with West. I like the cut of his jib.

^ I'd probably go Miller.

ok guys, anything I should change here...I feel I'm over thinking things.

Yeah sort of worried about Rashad Jennings as my RB2. What do you guys think about Joique Bell in the flex position (PPR) this Sunday? Good idea? I also have Bernard Pierce on my bench.

Joique should be a good flex this weekend. I like him more than Pierce esp if PPR

Any other opinions on Percy for Sproles in PPR? Thanks all!

I'd go with Hawkins.

What does this mean?

@ProFootballTalk: Vikings add Charles Johnson to fill Adrian Peterson's roster spot http://t.co/FGPGhMNLe4

Charles Johnson isn't the RB1 for Vikings now is he? Does that just mean he's more or less filling out a team list or something?

EDIT: Wait he's a WR. I'm confused.
