Are you sure? That doesn't seem right... how did Brazil lose so many points winning two games? How did Colombia gain so much by winning against shit teams? :lol

Seems generous to Spain.

Should be correct. It's possible that a couple of old results from some years ago aren't taking in account anymore.

Also look at Belgium, don't get your hopes up USA =)

1 (8) Colombia 1449
2 (5) Argentina 1442
3 (2) Germany 1407

Not to start up the whole region debate again, but the numbers posted above by Haunted really show that CONCACAF is a step above CAF and AFC. I don't want an extra spot for the region, but we really should be grouped with CONMEBOL during the WC draw. As it stands now, we are paired with Asia, by far the weakest region, and because of that we almost always end up in a group of death.

Two of our squads are regularly making it out of group stages now (Mexico 5 straight, US 3 out of last 4 WCs). And now Costa Rica looks a threat to do the same in the next few Cups. It's ridiculous that Africa routinely gets easier draws and yet fails to advance more than 1 team to the knockouts each WC (except for this one).

Time for FIFA to do the right thing and recognize CONCACAF's rise and "reward" us with more fair draws.

It's the only sport where you can advance after a loss in a tournament though. That's why it's confusing to many.

False.

You can lose your first two games in the NBA/NHL playoff, and then still go forward because it's best of 5/7

And many college sports (baseball) do the thing where when you lose the head-to-head, you play the other team that lost and one of the two is back in. Forgot whats that style of elimination is called.

And the group stage is essentially the "season" anyway, since youre playing for points.

Do you not follow sports?

The balls he intercepted weren't that amazing to be honest. All the German shots except Müller's went straight at him. That saved header from Ochoa tho.

Ochoa had an amazing game against Brazil, no doubt about that. But Howard has made game-changing saves in all three games.

Low?

$200,000 too stand on the sideline and point isnt low. Oh wait, he also chooses the subs. I guess thats worth $195,000

Its a crime any of them get paid any higher.

I realized that after I typed it. Of course it's a good salary, just saying in comparison to the other coaches on there, it's really low. Especially with the results that he's turned in this year.

Seriously.

For the players as well, I never liked all the bonuses and shit. I question anyone who needs additional motivation to do his very best at the world cup because he gets a personal win bonus.

If privately owned club teams want to make their players rich, that's their decision, it's company money, it's salary. But that the country football associations pay extra so the rich men really want to represent the country at the sport's most prestigious event... it never sat right with me.
