Same settings as before; in-game vanilla maxed out, 2040p downsampled (getting around 40-60 fps). Looks nice for an mmo.

Thanks !

And you are right about them being screenshot worthy but there are also some very good animations during combat itself that you cannot take without the Hud .

I once Asked Durante about it and while he said it is possible to hide the hud and that he could make a tool for that , i guess he decided in the end not to bother with it .

2xSSAA? Are you using 2x2 downsampling? That's actually 4xSSAA
2xSSAA is actually somewhat fractional unless they are only increasing one axis over the other.

I'm not sure how much detail will go into the individual planets, but you will be able to do this.

No You wont :) Maybe in very distant future.

The game look incredible. One question regarding the game though. Is star Citizen just a space flight sim game or can you land on planets and look around?

There will be stations and cities where You will be interacting with NPCs and players. There will be also FPS combat on ships, planets and stations.

I think it has more to do with the fact that Crysis was 2007 and it doesn't look on par with that. Maybe? Dunno. I think it looks nice personally so far anyway.

If everything was based on Crysis, we'd still technically be playing early 360 gen. Even Crysis sequels can't reach Crysis level forests. They set the bar too high, and broke their tendons on the way down. There's no going back.

^Agreed. Doesn't even look like the same game to me. It runs like shit on my PC and the AA is horrible. Hell Watch_Dogs runs better to me than Wolfenstein (probably because of my 7970).

I've been loving all these Syndicate screenshots. That game was criminally underrated so I'm stoked to see some loving attention given to it.

Stunning image quality though. Makes it look like a different game, actually...not even a game, like a CG sequence. Great job :)

^^ Thanks. This game is an orgy of different styles and colors. Maybe its better than Rage afterall.

Thanks. All the screenshots are taken in 6000x3000 + TiledShots with 32xAA.
Obviously, in this way its not playable at all.

And yet still aliasing left... I hate IDT5 (Unless the Tiledshot filter is to blame. Or your own resizing. I wouldn't expect this much aliasing from 6kx3k+32xAA )

Does anyone know if it's possible or of anyway to pause the gamestate in Left 4 Dead 2 in single player at all?

I'd really like to make a screenshot playthrough but getting stuff while it's happening is really zombiculous!

I dont see aliasing in this shot, even in the others. even in those other. Maybe something is wrong with resize but the image quality overall is pretty good for me (I dont say so because it's mine). I could also use the tiledshot with 64x anti-aliasing but the processing of the image is really slow and takes too much time if you use more than 4k resolutions for ur screenshots.

All of these edges are far too sharp and even seem to have some ringing. Which makes it look aliased to me.

With the size of the resolution you are using along with 32xAA (Which is from what I remember actually some kind of hybrid MSAA/SSAA. Doom 3 BFG's 16xAA is similar)

It shouldn't look like this. It's like somewhere along the line everything is being sharpened and over emphasized.

It's far more prevalent in a lot of other shots.

And like I said I don't know if it's because of the engine. Or the tiledshot filter, or whatever other resizing is occurring.

I would take the raw if you could and then resize it using Photoshop's Bicubic filter to see if it changes anything. Because i'm curious whether that's the issue here.

Uh that film grain is terrible. Doesn't look anything like film and you can where the grains are stretching along a pattern.

The pattern is barely visible in shots. And really only shows in the darkest areas. (The developers stated that it's adaptive and applies more to dark areas than light ones)

In motion it's invisible.

With downsampling and SGSSAA it really becomes even more filmic because it's less sharp.

Because it earns my contempt.

Congratulations. I feel likewise about your opinion!

Clean rendering for a game like L4D2 does it a severe injustice. Especially to the artistic direction for which it was intended. It looks just fine in screenshots and even better in motion.

If anything it's simply overbearing because I usually play with 8xSGSSAA or 4xSGSSAA+Downsampling. Which smooths it a dramatic amount. So I have it up very very high to fix that issue when using those.

Honestly I think you're trying to split hairs in 4 pieces ^^

Despite some slight defect the overall quality is good enough for me. After It all comes down to personal taste.

**if u want try some test with bicubic you're welcome. I have deleted the raw considering that it was large than 80mb.

That's certainly true. But it looks awful to me. It shouldn't exist for such high resolution downsampling. Those areas are immediately apparent at a glance to my eyes.

The scene composition is great, and overall IQ is good. But the amount of ringing and aliasing left over creates a mediocre taste in my mouth.

Edit: I get that you would delete the raw though. I don't like keeping insanely massive screenshots either. I don't have the game myself. So I couldn't test on my own.

Next time you take some shots though would you mind sending me one before you delete it?
