2014 NHL Playoffs: A thread full of jerk 'yoffs

People will blame this series on Lindback, but the truth is Tampa has been outclassed in every area except hitting, their D has been completely trash and they simply can't handle Montreals forward depth.
While you're not wrong, that's just the way they've played all year in front of Lindback. They don't play that way in front of Bishop. They clearly do not have confidence in Lindback, and it's obvious why. It's a domino effect on the whole team.

Even if Lindback isn't the sole reason why the Lightning have lost every game so far, he's also the reason why they haven't won a game yet either. Sometimes you just need a goaltender to steal a game, and build confidence off of that. Lindback is completely incapable of doing that.

Datsyuk might well be the most talented person on the ice in the Wings-Bruins series.
Unfortunately, the next 6-8 most talented people all play for Boston.

Might be? He IS by a long shot. Dude is one of the Top 5 players in the entire league. But you're 100% correct about everything else.

Quincey getting a shot is so remarkable it's on the scoresheet.

This is creeping very close to "screw it, and do something else territory". Team has 1 shot to 8, losing on a shot Howard should have had, absolutely no control of the puck, no energy, no anything. It's just one giant PP in Detroit's end since they can't get it out, that's not a fun game to watch as a Wings fan, they better turn it around quick, and by quick I mean right now.

The bigger problem is that the 3-4 least talented people all play for Detroit.

We look really outmatched. Though I'm not surprised our defense is struggling, I'm more surprised every forward except Datsyuk has gone MIA. Might be a good idea for Babcock to actually change the lines back to what was working...

This is where not having a Lidstrom like D man really hurts us. Also missing Z isn't great either.

Or having an interested Frazen. That guy has been invisible for 25 games now.

But missing a true no. 1 D man has been there issue since nick retired. Kronwall is good but he isn't a number one. Missing Big E on his pairing is really starting to show too.

Well fuck. This game could be ugly. Wings need to change something for next game. Not sure what though. But both Lashoff and Kindl should not be playing in Game 4.

Can they please do the Markov-Subban shot again when on the PP, it would work.

They shouldn't be playing at all. Lashoff at best is a 7th D. And Kindl just needs to be ran out of town. He can take Kyle Fucking Quincy with him.
