Xbox One still has crushed blacks? I only have pretty bright games on my Xbox one (Sunset Overdrive, Halo MCC) so I never really noticed anything myself .

Sunset Overdrive is one of the worst offenders in my experience. I had to change the gamma level on my TV because that game was so dark.
They fixed it shortly after launch in Sunset Overdrive?

The neon/light glow in this game has me floored every time I see it. And the attention to detail on the streets, buildings, and general world, finally, someone who challenges Rockstar on that topic.
Because of JPGs.
Almost looks like these are straight out of an animated CGI Batman movie.

Can you go indoors with the Batmobile or is this still an outdoor area? Presumably it is because of all the rain falling, but it looks like the inside of a shopping mall or something.

It's like one of those outdoor malls you see in dense downtown areas that look like they're indoors (with overhanging lights and different floor designs) but not. The street is actually right ahead in that screen.
You do go "into" areas with the Batmobile, but you're not, like, crashing through GCPD or the Arkham Knight's living room or anything............at least I haven't yet.

I played this on the Xbox 360 back in the day, thought I'd give it a go again on my PS4.
Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition (looks very bland on screenshots, complete with a shitty logo on each one, but looks sharp and nice when playing it.)

It's so weird that DMC4 doesn't have AA.
I can run it maxed at 4K/8xMSAA on a 970 and the fan doesn't even spin up.

Take the picture right after unpausing the game. Works in pretty much any situation.
