Thanks for reminding me that I still need to finish this game. Started it a few months back, played a few days and never touched it after that. Need to boot it up again. The concept is really fun.

And it will continue to look for a while...its top tier in terms of visuals for current gen

I hope Sony doesn't kill this series. It deserves a sequel with the obvious fixes needed to make it a better game ...still had a great time playing it

. DriveClub is beautiful by night, with rain. Ok. I admit. But in daylight, the game is not as beautiful. There is a lot of aliasing. .

While driving at a normal speed and above the aliasing is not that visible really.

And the lighting in DC (day especially) is probably one of, if not the best and most realistic lightings in gaming.

It's easy to find a game beautiful on a screenshot. I talk about games in general.

The Witcher is beautiful, really. But a lot blurry, the draw distance is disappointing, there are a lot of texture pop in etc... Until Dawn is beautiful in those screenshot, but not as beautiful as Ryse or infamous, and in game, animations are rough and outdoor environnements are really disappointing. DriveClub is beautiful by night, with rain. Ok. I admit. But in daylight, the game is not as beautiful. There is a lot of aliasing. And for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, I've just watched a lot of screenshots and videos. Indeed, It's beautiful. Mea Culpa.

Um.... rain at night is where DC looks worst, though not because of IQ. In real life, driving in the rain at night does not resemble the hyperspace effect from Star Wars. Windshield spatter aside, the raindrops in DC are ridiculously opaque, almost to the point of looking like snow sped up. It's not as bad during the day, if only because they don't contrast as much. If only they made an "after the rain" setting, because everything else about the rainy conditions looks awesome.
